I say "strong friendship" because Naruto did go Kyuubi for Hinata. Though he would've done it for any of the other K11 and who knows maybe he was thinking of Neji during that moment lol.
Sorry, you wrong, he go Kyuubi because of her, and not in a good way, she almost killed him.

One of my biggest pet peeves about the pairing war was how the main argument always boiled down to "sakura loves sasuke" "hinata loves Naruto" "Sakura never loved Naruto." One of the things I accepted when I first started shipping Narusaku was that in order for one of these pairings to become canon, someone would need to change their feelings. What hurts the most about that is people never really appreciated how Naruto was willing to sacrifice his happiness for sakura, or how he fought tooth and nail for her, similar to how hinata fought for him and how sakura saved him. The point is, I really hate how the greatest defense I hear for sasusaku is always sakura's unwavering love for sasuke. What people seem to forget however was how, not long after Naruto first came back from his first attempt, sakura was about to give up on sasuke, and was only put back on course because of Naruto's declaration. Hell, she was willing to let sasuke get killed by kakashi and was willing to kill sasuke herself, and it was only because of Naruto that she could have faith in sasuke's return. She herself admitted that she couldn't do anything for him and Sasuke said he couldn't understand her interest in him. Some unwavering, unconditional love.

When I first heard Naruto was ending in 5 weeks I knew something was up. I didn't believe it at first. It just wasn't natural and wouldn't be enough time to realistically turn around Sasuke from bad to good. The only conclusion I came up with was that Sasuke was going to be killed and NS would happen at last panels. It was a tragic ending but the only logical one for a manga that only had 5 chapters left. How wrong I was... I gave Kikitten too much credit.
That announcement that it was ending in five weeks did get my attention but i have to say it didn't surprise me that much.Five chapters wasn't enough time but he himself decided that and even in five chapters u can draw below average endings, even average endings if u have the interest and focus ur best on making that ending.A person who is tired of his work, doesn't care about it and is a sellout, there is nothing u can say.
As for sasuke there is still very few ways u could turn it around but of-course nothing would be near realistic but at-least it won't be the this kitten which we got, nothing would be this kitten that we got.I thought of many conclusions possible back then,it all narrowed down to two or three. All of us gave him too much credit and believed that he would do it right.

So I read that long post... And last lines just killed it all. There is no "no one was wrong" in this case, part of fandom is guilty in this kitten that happend and another part has to suffer conscience - forever till them not live fandom. Easy example:
Fan of Naruto:
- So Naruto became hokage? Yes. Did we saw it? No. How can we be happy with something we didn't even saw?
- So Naruto loved Sakura? Yes. Did he got her to love him back? No, did he at least confessed to her? No. Why? Don't know.
- So Naruto saved Sasuke? Yes, so now they could be team 7 and interact as old-buddies? No, Sasuke went out of village.
And it's only for MC, you could do that for Sasuke and Sakura at the same amount. The only one who win - Hinata, because her only purpose was "being right at Naruto's side".

Some retard said a long time ago that Sakura's confession to Naruto was like a bad fanfiction. Well guess what b*tch? Ch 699/700 is an even worse fanfiction lol.
I'm sure while Kishi is struggling to find out how SS happened, he looks up at ff.net.

romance should have never existed in this story to begin with.
Kishi can not, and doesn't like writing romance ~~ but everything after 699 is bombarded with it.

You know ? The relationship Naruto and Hinata would not change if NS should have become canon, but nh became canon and NS changed not even friendship we can call it, I do not know may be just partnership.

This is seriously true. Like since when Hinata became that obsessed for love. Yes, it's me defending (for this post only, which ends very soon), but she shouldn't be this way. Now, the movie pretty much say that she is an incredibly sick love seeker. This is why people say her character is killed off.You know ? The relationship Naruto and Hinata would not change if NS should have become canon, but nh became canon and NS changed not even friendship we can call it, I do not know may be just partnership.

Meh Gohan went Super Saiyan 2 because Android 16 was killed... a character who's very existence was based around the idea of killing Gohan's father. At the time I thought all Kishimoto is doing here, is trying to show the Naruto is a good guy who doesn't like to see people being hurt, in a similar vein of Gohan being upset. It had little to do with the previous relationships the characters had, and more to do with showing how the protagonist doesn't like seeing the helpless being hurt by the strong. This is good guy 101 stuff here. Which is what happened if you actually read the story and see what happened. If it was because he honestly had a strong friendship or even loved Hinata, he wouldn't have not spoken to her much again until Neji died if that was the case.
Anything remotely happens to Sakura and Naruto runs to her aid like a white knight. Hinata almost gets killed and after Naruto saves the day he comes back and walks into the arms of... Sakura well Hinata approvingly looks on.
Now obviously Kishimoto is just that bad of a writer, because anyone with any just emotional sense in the world understand what that scene really says, even if Kishimoto is to stupid to realize it.
After the biggest challenged he has faced, Naruto is being rewarded... and not just by being "finally recognized" by the village. The hero is rewarded for saving his community by also getting the one thing he wanted most the heart of the woman he loved. The whole damn scene is set up that way. The entire village gives way KNOWINGLY and allows Sakura to take CENTER STAGE she then yells at him a bit showing she was worried and then hugs and thanks him showing how much she loves him now.
She hugs him even though it has nothing to do with Sasuke.
She hugs him even though if they are just co-workers it would make no sense for them to be the center of attention like that.
She hugs him even though everyone in the village also knows the Hinata has just said how much she loves him. It's not Hinata that the village part way for it's Sakura because the village knows how much the two mean to each other.
And Hinata watches on KNOWING that Naruto went to Sakura and not to her. It's an acknowledgement of where she stands. That even after she risks her life, and selfishly forces her own feelings to be acknowledge in the middle of a struggle that would decided the very fate of all of the village and therefor her family as well, Naruto still ignores her and instead goes to face the woman his heart is actually set on. And she accepts it by smiling. Because Hinata's love is a selfish feeling. It's a self centered feeling. She has it and pushes it knowing full well that Naruto doesn't feel the same way. He doesn't even go back to her, after he saves her. He saved her because she was in the way to be hurt, not for any deep feelings.
The fact that Kishimoto doesn't understand THAT speaks volumes about just how out of touch the man is with is own craft. Either that or he yet again doesn't know what the fu¢k a red herring is. To make i work the way he wanted he literally had to give Naruto the mind of a three year old.
"What do you mean Hinata loves me.... I thought she loved me like I loved ramen noodles..."
Naruto's entire emotional development as a character needs to be retarded (or regressed if you prefer) in order to make any sense out of the ending as Kishimoto wrote it. AND HE UNDERSTANDS THAT BECAUSE HE CAME UP WITH THAT STUPID EXCUSE.
The level of bad writing we are dealing with is almost unbelievable.

This is all so very true. This is why I seriously cannot understand Kishi's reasoning about how NS was just a "red herring". If his sole intention was to mislead people then bravo, well done. However that is not how it works. Now I know that the other shippers "called it", but that wasn't based on evidence or logic. It was based on what they wanted to be true and in the end, Kishi decided to pander to that sensebility.
What Kishi did with the "red herring" argument is basically this.
Kishi: Hey guys. I bought a new car.
Fandom: Cool. What colour?
Kishi: Red.
Fandom: Cool. That's a nice colour.
Kishi: You fools! I mislead you. It's actually blue! Hahahaha!!!
Fandom: WTF?!
