what i don't get is, if naruto understood people so well, why the hell didn't he address hinata's feelings in the manga and tell her that he doesn't feel that way about her? and also, sakura's love shouldn't have lasted as long as it did. in fact, i would go even further and say it should have ended at the very start of shippuden. bad writing is bad writing.

 

Exactly. Honestly, I think most of us would have been fine with NH if the manga had actually developed their relationship. If Kishi really knew NH was endgame, why not have a handful of panels slowly flesh out the repercussions of the Pein confession? Hell, Kishi spent 10000000 panels giving us so much crap about the Uchiha. There was plenty of time to address it.

Unfornately the accept that kind abuse and even they write their ss doujin  about it. Example, they make doujiin Sakura having nightmares about Sasuke killing Sakura with a chidori. Another Sasuke raping Sakura, until she accept(that doujin is not even  a hentai).

Lol you won't believe how many SS rape fics there are. These sasusaku fangirls can't distinguish between fantasy and reality and apparently neither can Kikitten.

Since I made a new thread for my tangent, I'll actually answer NaruSaku4Life3g's question from yesterday here: What was your reaction when you first heard Naruto was ending in 5 weeks?

 

I remember being instantly suspicious. Like it was completely fishy that it was ending in five weeks, and it didn't bode well for the plot. I figured it would be rushed and disappointing. There would probably be a big fight between Naruto and Sasuke, but then the resolution between Naruto and Sakura would be a quick, one-page deal, or even not at all. Just leaving thei relationship open-ended until the very last page where a panel is shown of a grown up Hokage Naruto with a picture of Sakura and their kids on his desk. 

 

Tbh, I was bracing more for an open ending than anything. Everything so far pointed to it, from the characters in "The Gutsy Ninja" novel to the way all the romances in the manga were treated (as in no one gets the big happy ending), and culminating with Sakura and Hinata in a silent rivalry for Naruto's affections. I felt like Naruto would certainly end up with Sakura, but that they would coddle Hinata by not showing anything overtly romantic for Sakura.

 

As the ending grew closer, however, I also began thinking that there had to be another series coming up (especially with all the development surrounding "The Last" and The New Era project). My guess was that Naruto was going to continue in another form, like a monthly manga installment, for about a year or so. Hence my journey down the rabbit hole of what could have been in Part 3.

Naruto does not look happy in the epilogue and this is a kittening fact. I wonder why? He got everything he (supposedly) wanted right? Being Hokage Sasuke back at the village and the beautiful sexy Hinata as his wife. Oops got the last one wrong lol.

what is he so sad about? he's now hokage, he's got the perfect wife, two beautiful kids, a laptop and cup noodles for dinner. sounds like the prefect life to me.

At least Naruto silently rejected Hinata. His feelings for Sakura - went nowhere at all.

In my opinion, Kishi is drawing Naruto's chin in Ch.700 way too broad.

I'll respond in your other thread, too, but our reactions were remarkably similar. My biggest fear was that we were going to get some weak open ending that left everything unresolved to the point that forum-based pairing wars would continue into the end of times. Sadly, I think that would be a more desirable ending that what we got.

My theory? He regrets bringing Sasuke back to the village and settling for Hinata. It's too late for him to turn back now because him and Sakura already have kids from different people. Too bad Nardo. That's what happens when you and Kikitten sell-out to the fans for money.
