I don't know about you people, but the fact that 'Hinata hates herself for only watching Naruto from afar '(   ) is, in my opinion, the most demeaning thing they could have done to her, not only as a woman, but as a person/character in general. She is what, 20 years old in this movie? A bit old to behave like preteen with a crush... If i were a Hinata fan (and I'm not. especially after 615) I would be bashing my head against a wall, very hard. Never mind the fact that people in Konoha have, apparently, forgotten about Hinata's big confession, so that her love for Naruto is again a hush hush topic...like, really? Apart from that dratted trailer, can someone explain to me how a sane person could honestly believe that a lovey-dovey husbando-waifu relationship could come out of this? Because I don't really have a clue...

Anyways, I'm still zen, totally unconcerned about NH. Ain't gonna happen. Psh.

For me. I'm like 96 % that Naruto won't confess in chapter 699. Why?
Well

Naruto said to Minato that even he's 17, he still doesn't know so much about boots and WOMENS. And i think that gives me the messange that he isn't ready to start a serious realtionship with someone, because he is still young.

And for me the in chapter 693 when Sakura said i love you to Saskue it just gave me a weird feeling, i always thought that it just didn't feel right. I decided to ignore it, but it has came back again this strange feeling that Kishi had a mind about Sakura's confession. Naruto knows that Sakura is in love with Saskue and he did just get remained of it in chapter 693. So why would Naruto confess to Sakura when he knows that she is still in love with Saskue? It just feels stupid that Naruto would confess to Sakura directly now the POAL is fullfilled when he really knows that she is still in love with Saskue.
Seriously would you really confess to someone who you already knew is in love with someone and it's been proven for not Along ago. Geez, what is the point to confess to someone if you already you will be turned down. I don't think that Naruto just wants to confess his feelings so he will get done with it. He wants also Sakura to accept his confession and start a relationship. It doesn't make Naruto a pussy or coward that he will wait until the movie or chapter 700 to confess. The best way for Naruto to succed is give her time, because come on;
GIVE THE GIRL A BREAK FOR GOD'S SAKE.
A fight with a god, almost died, the boy she loves wants to kill her master and Naruto and start a revolution, she confessed and was turned down with the worst rejaction ever! (killed coldbloody in a illusion, hello?), wakes up and hear that the 2 most important boys in her life that she wants to protect is fighting in a life and death battle, and she will probably found them halfdeath and with missing a arm and she will probably blame herself for she wasn't able to reach Saskue and the POAL from Naruto.
And you guys also wants Naruto to confess to her, the guy who is now so bably injured and is missing a arm. It will littary destroys her. It will be like the ION arc when Sai told her that she is part of responsible of Narutos pain, but like 100x worse.
And i also want to add the fact that two confession on one day is to much to handle, it will confuse her feelings as hell. Plus the things i mentioned before.

So i belive that Naruto won't confess to Sakura in ch 699. He will give her time to recover herself, and it will maybe take some years. For now in the current state they are now, none of them are ready for a romantice relationship. Sakura has just been turned down and Naruto has admiteted that he doesn't know so much about womens and he's probably not looking for serious relationship yet.


EDIT: hey i also got remained of what if Kishi putted the confession in 693, just to not make Naruto confess until the movie or ch 700, just to keep the tension up. It always a possiblity.

Obviously to not make NS endgame would be horrible waste of the most profound, well-built, human and realistic relationship in the series. If Kishi is talented enough to write and develop a story with characters that captivate my attention and imagination, he's good enough to know what he's doing. He didn't draw so many parallels and have so many characters point out Sakura's unrealized feelings, didn't spend years of his life having these grow in the story together in a way no other duo did (always with a romantic overtone) to throw it away for a side-character. 

But to me, to have Sakura be still conflicted or not realize her feelings for Naruto over her initial love for Sasuke would destroy the character. To make her so thick to have all of that development, obviously bear some romantic feelings for him and still hold out for the dude she hardly knows at all compared to Naruto would be awful. She'd have gone from weak, obsessed girl crushing on a dude she thinks is hot, to powerful, compassionate....girl crushing on a dude she thinks is hot who has tried to kill multiple times and would have succeeded if not for the lovable and sometimes idiotic guy that is far closer to her than anyone. 

I like Sakura because she's human. She's often conflicted and makes mistakes. But she's got an amazingly compassionate heart, and I'd expect more from her than to hold out for a guy that, while he may be redeemed now and might apologize, can't compare to the guy that's been there for her the entire time, selflessly supporting, inspiring and strengthening her. 

I'm really unconcerned about all these well-cut and tailored trailers and these open-ended taglines because I can not believe that the guy who can write such an awesome relationship into exist over more than a decade would forget about it for a one-dimensional side character. Just logically, this movie must be Kishi's way to develop Hinata, have her feelings addressed, and ultimately say goodbye to her and put NH to rest. 

It's been NS since day 1 and has remained so throughout the manga, movies, openings, everything. To have NH become canon would be incredibly poor writing and a waste of Kishi's time developing Naruto and Sakura (who compose a huge amount of the story together).

It is possible that interview is from before Kishi finished the epilogue so maybe  we will get to see Naruto as a father in the epilogue and not in a part 3 .

Totally possible he won't confess. As to Sakura's re-"confession" the purpose of Kakashi telling us chapters earlier that Sakura's feelings have changed from romance to just wanting to save sasuke because of 1)Naruto and 2)She's kind and desires the best for people, was so that we would not be confused. Kakashi has been Kishi's mouthpiece, much like Sai and Yamato. I'm still unclear about the correct translation (Love or Loved) in 693 but either way, it's clear that Kakashi meant that this "love" was not what it used to be, it was more along the lines of the love Naruto has for Sasuke, as a teammate and a friend. What confused me was the "All she wanted Now was to be yours, to save you". 

If I was Naruto and I thought Sakura still loved Sasuke, I'd still man up and tell her. After all, all signs point to Sasuke not caring. And this is Naruto we're talking about, since when has he been known to not try? He fulfilled the POAL, he deserves to at least vocalize what she already knows himself. 

I don't really expect him to either. Would explain why they aren't together in the movie (if they indeed are not, we cannot know as of now)

Let's try to accept some possibilities and from there we can try to understand it better, rather than ignoring the whole thing.

So anyone else with a different idea here?

could it be that Sakura is saying the same thing (Yamato line)to Hinata in that clothes shop?

While i was typing this it also occurs to me why i feel its strange for Sakura to say it with such a calm assuring face.

It could be that she simply knows Naruto better that she can say this now. Meaning at this point Sakura somehow outgrown her insecurity for not being able a big help to Naruto.

Thus saying the same thing to uplift Hinata.. now it doesnt mean Sakura is pro-nh.

Because to be fair, that line alone does NOT invoke romance.. if the line is only upto this point :


"It's not what you do for Naruto that's important. What matters is how strongly you feel about him that counts"

That line alone can be said to everyone, like Sai and everyone else who relied on Naruto greatly but feels that they cant repay him back..

Now you might be saying im taking back our claim that THAT YAMATO LINE entails ROMANTIC UNDERTONES..

Well no.. it only have that ROMANTIC UNDERTONE when Yamato added the line

"Sakura, in reality you..."

Because during that time, it was said to someone who doesnt seem to be aware how strong her feelings are. If you used that line to Hinata it wont have a big impact anymore because everybody knows Hinata loves Naruto.

To sum it up, i do believe that THAT line was the one Sakura said to Hinata on that shop in the movie. She said it in a calm and assuring face so Sakura must've known that she herself doesnt need to be insecure in repaying Naruto, for she knows nardo values everyone dearly. Let us be reminded that Sakura is a kind person, that line is good to uplift someone like Hinata at a time like that when she seems to regret nit doing somethin in the past.

My question now is if its like that then could it also mean that Sakura acknowledges her feelings towards Naruto also? Hmm
