Well, I think NH is kinda come to a closure, but it could always come back, or maybe I'm wrong completely! happy.gif
I just think NH has done all it can do... mwahaha.gif

Well, hate to play devil's advocate here, but Kishi could try to fool around with NH, without actually making them canon, to just please that demographic of people, but then again who knows what's going on in the mind of Kishi. Now before you decide to pelt something at me for saying that, Narusaku is not dead until, imo, I heard these words from Naruto that he does not love or want to spend a lot of time with Sakura anymore.

Alright thanks guys biggrin.gif Well I'm doing something tomorrow nothing specific and THEN nothing. tongue.gif SO what are your views on Naruto's "TALK" with Hinata? Just'd like to hear them again happy.gif

"TALK" as in this chapter?

I was actually thinking why Kishi put that "talk" in. I thought this was Hinata's character development. It's no secret that Hinata's character revolves around Naruto itself. In my opinion, her character growth is about "being acknowledged by Naruto". (In her confession, she stated that Naruto was her "everything".) This chapter, completed her character development by making Naruto acknowledge her. If my assumption is correct, I actually feel a bit sorry for her. Because, showing a character's insecurities or lack of confidence is normally a start for that characters gradual growing up. But in her case, her problem was solved just by Naruto's "you're strong" comment, without the "gradual growing up".

As for pairing-wise, it reminded me of the LeeSaku interaction at the forest of death tongue.gif Lee vowed to protect Sakura with all his life, and in the end Sakura thanked him, telling him that it was because of him, she felt she became a bit "stronger". And later after the Lee Vs. Gaara fight, when Lee collapsed Sakura was going to jump over the fence for him(only to be stopped by Kakashi). Which shows how much her opinion of him changed for the better compared to when she first met him(=Positive development). The only difference is Lee's character development doesn't revolve around the love interest, and there are not many LeeSaku fans to take the scene as "OMFG CANON!" Therefore, we don't feel paranoid about it.

Don't worry, Kishimoto made it clear that Sakura feelings of romantic love for Naruto was absolutely real. I just roll my eyes at people who insist on always portraying every single action of Sakura's in the most negative light they can possibly make up- no matter if Kishimoto himself goes to the trouble of outright refuting that image in interviews and in the manga itself.

Ugh, I hate when that happens. Some bashers/anti-Sakura fans need to understand that they really have to let go of Sakura's personality in Part I. Now, I'm not saying that they have to like Sakura, because they don't. Everyone has the right to like and dislike certain characters, but what they need to understand is that they have to at least accept Sakura for who she is now. A lot of people still cling onto the Sakura that constantly fangirled over Sasuke, and they believe that she still retains those feelings in Part II. This isn't true. It's possible that she still may have lingering feelings that she's trying to solve, but even in Part I she starts to warm up to Naruto, and hell, she's definitely shown that she's falling for him, hard. Of course, she still needs to resolve her feelings for both her boys, but she's definitely developed and changed since Part I, so I think she is capable of doing just that. But nope, fans still treat her as a "Sasuke fangirl" and a "b#tch for being abusive to Naruto". They [purposely] overlook the development and try to make up crap about it being negative development or whatever. Makes me go all pissy.

QUOTE (Miss Soupy @ Oct 15 2011, 01:24 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
If you want to think of the positives of the confession, think about how Sakura was trying to protect Naruto. She wanted to keep him safe, which was the entire reason she went to see him first. She wasn't ready to confess or anything, but she was definitely thinking about Naruto. The words she said about how Naruto had grown were definitely true. He is a very important person to her now, and she acknowledges it out right. Sakura can't get over Sasuke until he is redeemed. Until then she is basically stuck in limbo with her feelings. Growing closer to Naruto, yet her old ties towards Sasuke are very much a part of her.

Yes, yes, YES! Definitely agree with the bolded points!

Okay, first bolded bit. While we know that confessing to Naruto was not her original intention, it doesn't give people a reason to believe that she was completely lying. When you think about it, all the stuff she said about Naruto was true. He's an important person in her life, he's always been there for her, acknowledging her during her best times, and helping her get back up her feet at her worst times. While she expected Sasuke to be the one for her at the start, it just so happened that it was actually Naruto all along. It's only a matter of time until she fully realises this, so don't give up the war, people! laugh.gif

As for the second bolded part... even as a NaruSaku fan, I can understand that it would be difficult for Sakura to get over Sasuke completely. I'll be honest here, I've been in the same position myself [won't go into further details since it's sort of irrelevant to bring my personal life story here and I'm probably gonna bore the hell out of everyone XD]. It isn't easy for her to get over a first crush, teammate and friend, although it isn't just her that lost Sasuke as someone important, it was the whole of Team 7. Kakashi lost a student, Sakura lost a first crush and Naruto lost a brother. Even if Sakura never loved Sasuke from the beginning, I'm pretty sure that she still would be heartbroken for losing someone important to her.

QUOTE
Who knows when we will get something. Sakura is getting very little focus, which is making me pretty annoyed. When every other character gets at least one fight, sometimes multiple fights, before Sakura get's much of anything...I can't say Kishi is being very fair. hm.png Either she is gearing up for something big or I will be exploding just like you are xDDD It's totally unfair!

Ahhh, maybe there's gonna be a big surprise scene when Sakura comes in. But yeah, we need more Sakura fanservice! arg.gif

To me it feels like the final nail to the coffin for NH. Probably isn't, though, but I'm actually quite happy that Naruto at least acknowledged her help for saving him. What a nice boy happy.gif

And yes, NH may not be dead, but tons of people other than me are saying its probably a closure, and it just makes sense.. then again, Kishi can troll (doubt he would in something like this though, I mean, he does want a good anime doesn't he?). annoy.gif

You know I was just exactly thinking of that part in the manga when Lee protected Sakura from the sound ninja at the forest of death. It looks like that interaction between Naruto and Hinata was a paralel to that Lee/Sakura conversation, I say it before and I say it again Kishi loves doing paralels.

Exactly, to me NaruHina is nearly equivalent to LeeSaku. I think the only reason, people gets annoyed with the NH talk is because whenever there is a NH scene, the opposing voices gets louder and louder. And when we hear, "OMFG Naruto talked with Hinata=Instant Canon!" from the opposing voices again and again, my brain would start to feel so. It's like when you know the sea water is transparent in color but when somebody who has the different opinion keeps on saying, "It's blue! It's blue!" every damn time, you start to believe it's blue losing faith in your belief that it's transparent. It's all about the loud sound coming from the "opposing forces".

In all honesty, NH was never a threat in my opinion. The only thing that stops NaruSaku is Sakura's unresolved feelings for Sasuke. The only thing I feel anxious about NS is exactly that.

Oh, and she took him for granted after the Gaara fight. She thanked Sasuke for saving her, assuming that it was him and, from what it sounded like, that Naruto didn't do anything useful whatsoever. It didn't even show her thanking Naruto after learning the truth. That's taking someone for granted in my eyes, especially someone who saved your life and not even thanking them for it just because they're not your crush.

When she said, "Naruto thank you" at the vote don't you think that included the Gaara fight? She said thank you while thinking along the lines of "You were always there for me". So I naturally thought that included the Gaara fight as well. I may be wrong tho unsure.gif ( I personally think that Sakura's "thank you" was stronger when she said it to Naruto than when she said it to Sasuke. But this may be because I'm a NS fan)

Forgive my language, but that is the biggest piece of crap, I have ever heard. Oh yeah, the main character did the impossible and the douchebag (forgive me again), who left, WHO LEFT!!!! (again, sorry), falls for the girl, the main character has loved from day one and who's to say at this point that she will fall for him again and no, 540 probably does not count as a answer to that question. Just to make sure, I'm not directing my anger at you Roy, I'm just directing it to the statement that SS fans probably think.

No, what this promise of a lifetime should do if it ever fulfills is that Naruto would finally see Sakura happy, in his mind, which would lead Sakura to do some reflecting and resolving and settling the ordeal with Naruto once and for all.

However, due to the war, I don't know where the promise is in the context of the war, so as always, we wait and see it play out until there is a definitive moment between narusaku.

Not a lot DOES actually. It's because you brought up Sakura's opinion of Lee that I remembered when she hit him it the forest of death. Anyways unless you blindly focus on Sakura personality in part one and cling only to that perception you'd know she's not like that anymore I just remember those times every now and then just because. Anyways it bothers me because how do I put it, um.... I guess it's because they did not talk properly about it. no closure on their relationship in the past or present that is. That's as best as I can put it I guess. headscratch.gif OH and because there have been no NO intimate moments between them as of late so I'm a bit anxious for the next one biggrin.gif

zomg.gif th_confused0089.gif I'm still shocked that they would believe something like that! ermm.gif facepalm.png I can't even picture it. Just no..... It's too out of character for Sasuke to develop feelings for Sakura in 2 seconds. Similar to if Naruto started to develop feelings for Hinata. Do they honestly believe that out of all people, Sasuke Uchiha is going to be a lovey dovey guy? It would be like if Hinata just sudenly went all Tsunadere. Just too weird!

My predictions to why SS fails and NS wins:

1) Sasuke is saved and tells Sakura the only reason he never loved her is because his hatred kept him from doing it, then right before SS wins, Sakura will ask him about the forehead scene, and thats when she realizes she can't be in love with Sasuke anymore, and the love triangle goes crazy with change, because Sasuke loves Sakura, Sakura loves Naruto, Naruto loves Sakura.. bam happy.gif

2) Sasuke decides he loves Sakura after being saved, but Sakura rejects him, and Naruto gets the girl. biggrin.gif

My scary/awesome prediction:

After Sakura rejects Sasuke with one of my predictions above, she tells Naruto that she once loved 2 boys (Naruto/Sasuke), and it must of hurt him, so its okay if he picks the other girl (Hinata)... at this point he says "I want you Sakura" or "Thank you Sakura".. or maybe he says something else.... but I'm guessing he would say he wants Sakura because he will think of what Kushina said! wub.gif

So what you think? Does this prediction sound awesome or what?
