It's amazing that Toei is black and white when it comes to tv and movies. You would say, "Isn't that with everyone?" Truth be told, that's not much true. You see Studio Pierrot movies: it's more of their best animators doing a feature film length quality.

On the other hand, you can argue that Toei stick to being weak in TV, that the movie will look automatically great. Still, it does feel like 180 difference.

woah I'm glad I checked out this thread it was really random and I had no idea there'll be a new movie in a month! I checked out the trailer and the animation is amazing! I hope it lives up to movie Z because that was great.

This chapter felt too much like a filler. Oda better have a reason for driving them into a seemingly pointless forest. I mean they saw 2 of Luffy and kept moving forward to find the Sanji that they were already questioning to be real. Stupid...

 

If there is someone controlling this forest with illusions, I bet they're one of Big Mom's higher ups, and they'll face off against Nami. Illusions vs Illusions!

Hah! Okay, I admit I cracked up at the part Luffy was offended when he was interpreting that croc ignoring them as they were not good to eat. Other than that, TOTALLY dig the LuNa moment

I thought it was a good chapter, I laughed a lot. The Crocodile part was pretty funny. Nami flushing when she saw two Luffy's~

Sucks that OP is on break next week, I want to see more of this.

^^ you literally have no evidence to suggest that 80% of the entire population that read the chapter didn't like it. It wasn't a bad chapter, and he didn't get lazy. Did you honestly think that they would end up right in Big Moms lap this chapter?

This chapter was fine.

Go to youtube. Almost every big reviewer hated it, and comment sections are mostly people yawning along with them. Live reactions to it have people wondering why they're reading filler. Do you find a chapter of Chopper (a doctor) falling for a stupid illusion over and over again and the gang continue to comment on candy enjoyable? I get that the forest is the domain one of the commanders is now using to fight the Straw Hats, and he'll probably be Nami's opponent, but why draw it out like this? We didn't need 10 of the first 12 pages we got this chapter. I know this island is crazy and full of candy. The gang needs to stop acting surprised to fill up 18 pages of content. Its easy copy and paste writing to sell. They saw Sanji, questioned him being real, then saw 2 of Luffy, and then felt they had to find the Sanji they saw!? I expect that level of thinking from Luffy and Carrot, but not from Chopper or Nami. At least Nami was being a voice of reason because Chopper lost all his IQ in this chapter.

Not going to lie but once I read "YouTube" credibility dropped like forever fold. Aren't you the one who follows reviews? Because I recall you brought it up like MAL. IDGAF. I wanted to say it once. Anyway, eh, I read worse.

But in all fairness, this was a chapter I can see being mixed. I like it for entertainment value and it is the beginning of an arc that well will be a long one (hopefully not Dressrosa). I think one of my main problems with recent critics in not just One Piece is one moment that is a bit small can be a monumental problem to the series, not just itself, which is baffling at times. See, when I critique Bleach, I have reasons, especially if it's in the middle or even by the end.

One Piece is in create a world process, so of course it will be slow. Hell, slow and steady wins the race, and as of late, that's proven right more so than speed up and crash. Because of this, I'm fine, especially since I was entertained. I already know nothing moved forward, but at least I got something out of it. Simply put, there's no right answer. I like it or not, and that type of choice applies to everyone.

I suppose you're butt hurt because of the the lack of real Sanji and the the LuNa moment  Okay seriously though, I see no problem with it. It may have poor  pacing admittedly, sure. But the comedy is fine, or are long time fans hypocritically starting to hate the humor?   Plus, poor pacing? It wouldn't be the first time then, in all honesty. all big series have poor pacing here and there. the ooc moments,no comments from me because I wouldn't be the most accurate judge.

Upset Tashigi hasn't become the Marine Queen yet. The one to find the One Piece will be the Marine King/Queen. Now that I think about it, Roger is sexist. How come a man was going to find the One Piece? What about Pirate Queen?

 

But no, most people found this chapter to show too much pointless stuff. Obviously he is about to showcase a commander in the forest (the guy that attacked them and cut the trees), but there was no need to make him attack at the very end. He could of attacked them 5-8 pages earlier, but he added in filler content. Like I said. It's obvious why he is taking a break week. This week he could barely make it. As a long time fan of his, this is one of his worst 10 chapters, ever.
