Have any of you guys ever run across the argument that Kishi is gonna make NH canon because it's want the fans want? I've seen it quite often and i find it pathetic and desperate.

Yes very often of course. But i never really worried about that. Fanbases made that argument long time ago alread because they hope that they could bring kishi to overthink the whole pairing thing again. They know exactl that that its not looking good for the pairing they support, so they try to convince him through writing fanmails snd asking him about hinata during interviews.

But since all they time kishi never seem to care about that. I think it actually makes him mad sometimes and thats why hes trolling them. This is also shown again in road to ninja, it also shows that kishi is never going to change his story only because some fans wish so.

Maybe that's what the western fans (By that, I mostly mean the US) want, but as usual, they are self centered and believe that their opinion matters most over the opinion of his own country, in which NH is not the most popular pairing.

Though, I would like to see a more updated poll on a global scale, that'd be cool.

Yeah, but that's actually a bad thing to go by. If there's one thing that I learned from Bakuman is a manga should be written by the author himself, NOT the fans. The least they can do is to provide fanservice for those characters, like recent events. Mangaka changes the plan because of fans would actually do more harm than good, and trust me, I'm not being biased for this. Like we all have know by now, NH happening here is a true rushed and shoved in our throat in a inappropriate timing. If I were those people who wanted this to happen, I wouldn't support it.

Fan mails and such won't change his mind on whatever ending he has in mind. But I don't think what he's doing is really considered trolling. Maybe he's trieng to confuse us a bit about which pairing will happen, or maybe he's just drawing those moments with nor real pairing purpose behind.

Pretty much like that moment in the war when lee told sakura that he'ld protect her with his life and then blushed when sakura told him to take care of himself. It was obvious that sakura only cared about him and didn't have any feelings for him, which is similar to the NH 'moments'. And I don't think it was leesaku fanservice since it's shipped by a a very small portion of the fanbase.

maybe then, we'll get the chance see how much the NS fans are increasing.

Hahahaha, just because the fans want it, does not mean it shall always happen. I mean I wanted to hear the news that Alter Bridge play "Words Darker than Their Wings" (great song) at Wembley Arena, but that did not happen, and I accepted the reasons why they did not go for it.

The Nh fans should realize that they don't have good leverage over Kishi to make Nh canon. Just to make sure its not my bias-ness showing, in fact, I'm not sure we don't even have good leverage on our side, but the fact that we got evidence and a stronger development from NS than Nh, kinda gives us leverage.

The point is that yes sure, we, the fans, do help Kishi a lot in terms of keeping the series of Naruto alive and the interest going, but that does not mean that we the fans actually dictate where the story should go. We can suggest ideas of sorts and Kishi could be intrigued and may even go for it, but we don't control the story, he does and I don't think he's going to go with Nh being canon, heck I don't know if he's going to go with NS being canon without that next deep conversation between both Naruto and Sakura. (I'm looking for a lot of deep conversations these days, including my own personal life).

I dont think so it would be if they have a massive fanbase in other words they had to be very very huge and make the other pairing clubs to be looked like a small fanbase, naruhina has a big fanbase but also narusaku is too popular, it's not a unanimity, which makes kishi impossible to choose a pairing just because a certain fandom wants, there are alot of NS shippers, and NH is only popular on the western.

If i was kishi i would choose Narusaku just because i dont like people sending me letters saying if naruhina wont become canon i'll stop following your story, or doing campaigns on facebook saying that i will kill kishi if he makes ns canon.
I would just make NS canon and say "Come at me, bro!".

Why would a poll matter? We have already determined Kishimoto isn't going to change the ending based on what his fans want.

Also I'm pretty sure most fans in the US watch Naruto on tv, where there is a (in my opinion) terrible dub. Not only that but the voice actor for Sakura seems almost intentionally annoying. I really don't blame people for hating Sakura in that dub. That said, the anime is also biased towards NaruHina and just plain Hinata. I don't like Hinata. She's always there for no reason and always says "Naruto kun" and faints far too often. Really I just want Hinata to get over Naruto and start being more assertive so that she can end the series as a decent character rather then the same cardboard cutout she has been for the entire manga.

Ironically, people finds Sakura annoying because she hits Naruto, yet Hinata gets praised but at the same time she's like competing against Orihime from Bleach to see who can say the person name with Kun the most. To me that's annoying because I feel like she has no purpose at all. Well ok, she doesn't, but I don't want her to be a pairing fodder. At least Sakura has purposes, just not as much as other main guys.

for me i dont think Kishi would let the female main character without being paired because SS is out of question and it will destroy her character.
I dont see anything romantic on SS for me their fandom is composed by sakura haters and NH shippers.

Of course. If one thing is for sure, then that sakura is going to be paired because her whole character is about love and romance.

The point was, even if NH fans wanted Kishi to change the manga based on the most popular pairings, they are outnumbered by many fandoms either way in the last poll. The top pairings were the yaoi ones I believe, and that isn't going to happen. NH fans may believe they're the majority, but they are only a fraction compared to the rest of the world.

It would be interesting to have a new poll to see how demographics have changed, but not just in japan this time, but around the whole world. They did that little promotional thing for the movie to get the opinions of fans worldwide, it'd be cool if they could do a poll with the same purpose. I hve a feeling many would cheat though, because losers can't play fair (that goes for everyone really)

As for Hinata, I don't mind her. But I think she really really needs to find her own footing. What would happen if Naruto was snatched from under her feet right now? I think she would collapse on herself. She needs to get it together and become her own person.

All good things come to those who wait. That's all the advice I can give. This week is like a foreshadowing or a misleading. Foreshadowing for Sakura to get involved or misleading for Sakura to NOT get involved. It is pure coincidence that a medical team is on Obito. We'll see soon enough.

Kishimoto seems to be more open to having some subtle fun with the shippers going by the past couple of chapters. Last chapter with Kiba teasing Naruto which of course set the NH fandom on fire. I couldn't go near tumblr for a while. This chapter with Temari. Which was actually much more of a shipping hint than last chapter since it shows she thinks of Shikamaru and admires him with the comparison to his awesome father. I would love it if we saw a panel of Sakura sort of fangirling Naruto like that again. The Kiba comment was just Kiba being Kiba and it didn't futher NH at all. But the Temari thing actually changed a dynamic in their relationship and made it seem like she will be enthusiastically joining the Nara clan.

So based on that, I think we should be getting some major NaruSaku moments. They are the main couple of the manga adn Kishi has waited long enough. And how could we not with the Obito fight and Sakura participating? Watch, Kishi probably will make us wait and tease Choji x Ino of all things now.
