Yes, but same goes with almost everything in this world.
It's a formulation for battle shonen manga, a popular one. Popularized by dragonball. It's boring I agree, but it's not wrong. It could be better thought.

Is it confirmed that they are extra chapters? Or is it just extra pages?

What I know is we're gonna have extra pages first then they will release extra chapters.

of course it's everywhere. originality is hard nowadays, which is why we have cliches everywhere. but i don't understand how the same formula becomes so popular.

I know it but I didn't do it.

First time I accessed this NS FC website, I made sure to read the threads for regulation or something in between including that thread but I just thought "do we really need to introduce like that? why? our post numbers represents our status (new/old member), so why?"


Even a rock has something it can be used for. There's a way for them to shine that even a jewel can't compare to - Sakamochi Tatsuma :lulz:

We might get bored with it, but there's always a new generation who will encounter Shounen for the first time and be totally captivated by those cliche moments.

It sell, Because people(public, mass) like it. If people don't like it, It will end. Look at how many battle manga get cancel in shonen jump.
And when someone make something new, the other will follow it.
And it work with the target demographic.

It's tough for sure. Obviously Dragonball wasn't the first to use never giving up and food eating and fanservice.

 

But I think you can have the same themes with an original twist. Like in Naruto if you compare the combat in part 1 to part 2. In part 2 it's easy to see that it's basically a DBZ ripoff. But in part 1 the combat was unique. Interplaced between the punches and kicks are real strategies and hiding and planning around the plans of the planners. It really felt like what combat would be between two ninjas.

I didn't mind in early part 2 because it still has some of those tactics and overcoming what sounded to be impossible and such. As the series goes by, it starts to lose that as well, though villains did have special perk like one can't die, one is literally a puppet, and so on. Then when that's gone, it's all straight DBZ with not one special perk.
