Hiro is actually a good romance writer. At least his pairings are mutual. Hell Gruvia has more development from Gray's side than the entirety of SS and NH combined.
And yet the series isn't romance. That's the stupidity of Naruto. It doesn't have to be romance manga to have romance. It's really simple. It's an addition, not just a genre. Of course, you can say it's damage control because it is since his favorites has romance without being one. It's a made-up lie that the manga itself even contradicts his claim. If you can't, then do what you did for all others. Why not do Yahiko and Konan way? It was fine. Basically, it's all lies.
Going back to Gruvia for a moment. Now I know you're not a fan of it, but make no mistake, this is what SK should have been (it really has the same premise). This is a simple pairing that is easy to believe. I once said that this pairing is fun on comedy side but I need a serious mutual moment that will get me serious about it. Honest to God, I said this right before the latest arc began, so when I read this chapter, let alone the past one with Juvia doing the hardest task, I almost want to shed tears because I reminded that we may have horrible things running the market such as 50 Shades, Twilight, and Naruto, but the mutual understanding lives on and often happens in critically praised materials.
It's not to say FT is like best of all, though what I said is true for others, but because I'm on hiatus with newcoming anime/manga, reading this made me happy. Looking back at it, I still like it because of a simple story structure. It didn't try to brush it aside. This was needed and asking for it. Unlike Naruto, so many things got brushed away. Granted, I haven't read One Piece in a while because of time, bcause that would have helped me earlier with story wise. So yeah, that's why yesterday I felt good. That's what I miss.
