To me, Isla comes over a little bit childish sometimes. It's not that I feel uncomfortable seeing Tsukasa and Isla together, but it's hard to take them seriously as a couple :/

I see what you mean. I did notice Isla to seem a bit childish, but in any case I will try to finish it, probably by this weekend.

I'd say the anime I've ended up liking most this season is Arslan Senki, but even with that I have issues with the animation. It kind of seems to be getting worse.

Oh, and Ore Monogatari, it's hilarious and well animated.

Well, this season was rather meak in my eyes, safe for a few exceptions.

I really love Arslan Senki, Ore Monogatari!, and Hibike! (KyoAni with its animation quality).

There's also Gintama and Shokugeki no Soma that are pretty good adaptations of the manga source material.

That's my prefered pairing but I have to admit Yui's raised her rank quite a bit this season and I wouldn't mind them two ending up together.

Right now I'm reading the translated LN's and really enjoying it.

I feel the same way. You really didn't see Yukino much until the last couple of episodes in season 2, and its hard to tell who hikki will choose or if he even will. Btw do you know where I can read the light novel?

There wasn't much of either Yui or Yukino in the early parts of the series as the LN's concentrated on Hachiman coming to the realisation that while his methods are effective, it doesn't mean they are right, and he had to come to the realisation that there is nothing wrong with getting help from others, and I think the lack of Yukino was meant to represent the distant the two had created due to their misunderstandings. Though the biggest star of the second season was Iroha, the 101 different ways she rejected Hikki was hilarious, she was a hcharactor I thought I would hate but she really grows on you.

I read Volume 1-4 here:

and I'm reading the remaining volumes here,

Except for Volume seven which I read at Baka-Tsuki.

http://www.baka-tsuk...g_As_I_Expected

currently on Volume 9, and get to meet the most annoying bunch of people ever, the student council from that other school, I am already feeling a headache building up just from the thought of reading their senseless prattle.

Pyscho Pass - 9/10The series is set in the near future in which it is possible to instantaneously quantify a person’s state of mind, personality, and probability of committing a crime, all recorded on an individual’s “Psycho-Pass”. When their “Crime Coefficient” index becomes too high, they are pursued and apprehended by police officers known as Inspectors, and their ‘hunting dogs’ the Enforcers; in this way, order is maintained. Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau’s division of criminal investigation, navigate the system to uphold justice in their seemingly Utopian society.

The story is a strong 8/10 for me, with people trying to correct this "Utopian" Society and with others trying to stop these people and fix it from the inside.

Art: Fight/Gun scenes were pretty good. Character designs where some of my favorites in an anime I've seen.

Sound: Had a lot of good soundtrack some moments it wasnt needed but I guess it added to it.

Characters: Akane is probably my favorite character, at first she's very naive but as the show progresses we see her grow stronger and wiser, also who doesn't love female leads in shows? The others that stood out for me are Shougo the main villain was simply trying to stop the system that ran the government and if he could actually be called a villain for trying to make society realize that life can't always be run by machines. Kougami is pretty kittening bad ass and was another on of my favorites, but my #1 favorite Enforcer is Masaoka, he was an old detective before the new system took over and he didn't take it well so he was pushed onto the Enforcers due to his Hue being messed up from his stress.

I don't think we'll get a third season, the way that the anime ended sounded very much like they would now be dealing with Yukino's request next which has always been built up as the climax for the series, so the LN's could be finished within the next couple of volumes which is not enough content for a third season. Though I do expect them to animate the end, so if it does end soon we'll likely get a series of OVA's or a movie.

Plastic Memories -- 6/10; Finished up to episode nine and at this point I'm just trying to get it done and over with because it's feeling ridiculously repetitive. Basically, Tsukasa tries to win over Isla. Cue misunderstandings and awkwardness. Rinse and repeat. And that's pretty much the plot. I was expecting (hoping) for more from this, and at first it seemed to have potential, but it's all wasted.

Owari no seraph 8.5/10

So I finally finished this anime, and I freaking love it! The animation is mehh, not that great if Studio Wit also did Attack on Titan... Bur non or less I love the story, characters and more :D

Diamond no Ace 9.5/10

So after I finished watching Kuroko no Basket I needed another Sports anime, and Diamond no ace is definitely a sports anime I recommend. The story and animation is on point. This series is also very different from all the other sport animes I have seen... Which make this very unique.
Also ALL the characters are likable! Love them all XD

Yugioh: Arc V - 6/10

The score may seem low, but I'm actually really enjoying the show. There are quite a few good qualities to it. The pacing is quick but not rushed (and quick pacing for a Yugioh-based series is fairly important, considering the kind of show it is), there are some pretty good characters in the cast that carry things along nicely, the show is being fairly effective with its (so far) main theme, and the duels themselves are mostly pretty entertaining, with the occasional (and increasing quantity of) great ones. I'm about 50 episodes in, and things are getting really interesting, especially for a longtime follower of the franchise like myself.

The only reason the score is so low is because, well, there are quite a few problems. It isn't masterful storytelling, which is to be expected from a Yugioh series. Honestly, most of the issues present can kinda be hand-waved away with a "It's Yugioh, what do you expect"? Still, they're there all the same. One of which is an absolutely obnoxious waste-of-space side character with a pathetically immature and desperate "shiver" gimmick who should be put through a meat grinder and then promptly burned.

Ahem.

Don't you LOVE though how they blow typical Yugioh plot points to pieces. Well as in you know deconstructing (as in portraying the realistic consequences and situations) of things like the advancement of tech in the duels and the like?

Durarara!!: 8.5/10 - Absolutely loved this anime. The plot twists were awesome , and the supernatural aspect was nicely built into the story. It was a bit hard to follow the series in the beginning (reading and keeping up with those chat discussions was a kitten in the beginning). Best characters: Shizuo and Celty hands down. And yes, I'm a Celty x Shinra shipper now :smug: Pros to the fabulous soundtrack and openings/endings. Second half was better than the first half in my opinion.

Durarara!!x2 Shou: 7.5/10- I felt this first part of season 2 was incredibly condensed. We kept jumping back and forth in time, giving me a hard time to keep up with what going on (could be that I was watching some of the episodes at 1 am in the morning). I honestly didn't care for some of the characters who were introduced into this new animes.

HunterxHunter- Phantom Rouge & HunterxHunter- The Last Mission: 5.5/10- That's me being nice, lol. I couldn't find myself feeling engaged into the stories and the villains' shallow motives. Man, I never want to see a HunterxHunter movie roll around on that "friendship" power dialogue again. Not even pedophile Hisoka was able to save the movies for me.

Yeah, it's definitely not the strongest part of the series. There's just too much going on at once and the pacing ends up feeling rushed and the plot overstuffed. The original Durarara is still the best, hands down.

Oh, finished this a few days ago but:

Mouryou no Hako -- 7/10; I'm actually a little unsure how I want to rate this. There were parts of it I really liked and it was successful at the creepy horror aspect of it, but the ultimate 'reveal' fell incredibly flat of my expectations. I didn't like how it came through a character's long-winded explanation of events or that it left me with more questions. I don't mind complicated plots, in fact I actually really like them, so long as they do have some sense or purpose in the end. But for some reason this one left me underwhelmed and unsatisfied.

I do appreciate how they seem to be throwing in bits of deconstruction here and there, though the idea behind Action Duels does have... a lot of problems. I loved the duel with Yuya and the guy who kept stealing action cards and even physically attacking him at points to gain an advantage, because it showcased one of Action Duels' biggest problems: the action card system is extremely unbalanced.

Yeah and to be kind of honest it doesn't make much sense to me either. using card that are not part of your deck? where do they go after the match finishes? unless they are solid vision like the field and disappears after. Still Ir isn't a necessary edition to story in my opinion.

Dragon Ball Super. 8/10 Things are off to a slow start and, well see for your self.  Still great though. :D

Rurouni Kenshin- Trust and Betrayal (also known as Samurai X): 9.5/10
Now, this is what I call a masterpiece. A beautiful OVA series, and even though I have never seen or read the wellknown Rurouni Kenshi series, I was perfectly fine with that. It might not have had the same impact on me like on those who are familiar with the series and the pacifistic nature Himura Kenshin is known as today, but as a standalone, this prequel OVA series managed to impress me. For a 1999 anime, this is beautifully animated (this is notorious Studio Deen we're talking about). Some of the animation sequences literally blew me away: The gory and fluid battle sequences or the vibrant images of the Japanese landscape during the 19th century. Great voice acting, and I will especially applaud Junko Iwao for her role as Tomoe Yukishiro. No cheesy dialogues, but down to earth interactions. The beginning was a bit confusing though as we jumped back and forth in time sometimes. Oh, and I still have to get used to the fact that Kenshin is voiced by a woman  The OST: It's amaaaazing! People often say that this is one of the best OVAs out there, and now I can confirm that.
I'll prob read the manga to this one day, though I'm prepared to not feel the same satisfaction as I did with the OVA series. This seems to be one of the rare cases in which fans find the OVA series superior to the original franchise...https://www.youtube....0vI&app=desktop

Hunter x Hunter 2011: 9.0/10
I'm just going to quote what I wrote in another thread:
"Well, I've just finished the anime yesterday, and now I feel this indescribable emptiness inside of me... Reading the chapters of the next arc didn't really help; it just made the whole hiatus waiting even worse b/c the Dark Continent Arc looks very promising (and Kurapika and Leorio are back!) Needless to say, this is an amaaaaazing series. It was slow in the beginning and required some of my patience, but slowly but surely it developed into something truly amazing. Props to Madhouse for keeping up with the animation quality continuosly. Togashi is a genius, and I can't wait until the next chapter comes out; hopefully, it will come out soon b/c only one more chapter is needed for a new volume to be released >_< I'd like to start my HxH collection starting from the Dark Continent Arc."
So yeah, I highly urge everyone who has not yet watched HxH 2011 to sit down and click the link to episode 1. It is truly one of the best animes I've personally seen. I know I always say:" Oh, this is great. Amazing. One of the best sososo I've ever seen." Well, I'm not a professional critic, and sometimes I'm still "high" from my newest anime experience, only to reconsider and downvote my score later...
This time, I mean it. So watch it. You will not regret it.
Edit: Reason why I gave it a 9 is b/c in the beginning, the character interactions were not fleshed out enough in my eyes. The tone was also a bit too lighthearted considering that people were dying left and right. And lastly, there is no way I can give this anime a 10/10 b/c it is incomplete. It ended on the best note it could have, but there are tons of questions left.

Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso-8/10

I really don't know how to feel about this anime. I really like it but at the same time a part of me kinds of wish I never watched it lol. The ost is amazing and so is the animation. Be warned it is one heck of a tearjerker.
