I don't mind if the author describes what the main character looks like in detail, just as long as its not ALL the characters he or she writes about. Also speaking of appearances, Sakura and Lee both have a red headband... can't get much more intimate than that can you?

Oh, although it doesn't bother me too much, I don't really like stories when people make Sakura refer to Naruto as "Naruto-kun", that's very out of her character to me.

The suffix thing doesnt relaly bug me to be honest. Its actually a msitake involving the meaning of suffixes in general. People thinking that adding Kun to the name means you love the person so they have sakura add the kun when she finaly falls for Naruto.

Its a simple error really.

I know, and it's simple errors that bug me, people don't realize that without the kun she's more......formal with him? Anyway, without using it she's basically herself around him, I guess it's because he uses chan, which is used at the end of a relatives name or a best friends name, so maybe they get that from it or something.

I don't see the problem with Sakura calling Naruto, Naruto-kun, She did with Sasuke... and Naruto deserves the suffix kun more than he does. But anyways you've now got me confused on the Japanese suffixes again, thanks to you I will now search the internet until I find viable answers.

Kun is used for politeness, the fact that she doesn't use kun with Naruto means either, depending on the situation, she hates him and has no respect, or likes him alot to the point where he's a best friend, which do you think it is?

Well, I wouldn't say Sakura was exactly... I'm still kind of iffy... but you know how she was before the timeskip... especially when they were just made a team, yeah...

I will agree she is a bit on the friendly after the timeskip and believe I am a NaruSaku fan, but... I'm writing fanfiction and I need to feel what I write, it is angsty and all that usual Sakura breaks Naruto's heart, Naruto still loves Sakura, Sakura loves Naruto, Naruto dies believing she hates him, comes back about 2 years later after spending about 16 years in hell for the Kyuubi's sins... etc etc. So yeah, I have to feel what I write in order to believe in what it is I write, now normally should I not be writing a fanfic I'd say she'd consider him a best friend, but since I am and Naruto still doesn't trust her yet, I kind of have to 'feel' that she doesn't.

I get tired of reading Narusaku fics in which Sakura still hasn't left her "psychotic-sasuke-fangirl" mode ( since these are mostly post time skip) and where she still treats Naruto like they're 12. That, and having to read about them hopping into bed a chapter after they finally get together. I understand that many times you could probably cut the sexual tension with a knife, but seriously, people. Get real.

Usually the fics listed under friendship/romance have the best interaction and make the "moments" far more squee-worthy

And you mean in the fanfic he doesn't trust her right? Because if you mean in the manga I strongly disagree with that....

The suffix issue has already been addressed in Chapter 311 when Sai was learning about proper behavior since he lacks social skills.

"In order to hasten the development of understanding between yourself and others the first thing to do is reduce emotional behaviors. For instance when addressing someone by using the name suffixes such as "-san" and "-kun" you will remain distant from that person, never seeing any reduction in emotional behaviors."

"To combat this, one should first take the intiative to stop using suffixes. Alternatively, assigning nicknames or other terms of endearment may be viable options. By doing such, one is able to position themselves in a particularly special and close relationship."

He even remarks on Sakura's lack of use of suffix when speakin with Naruto.

Now I think originally in the beginning since Sakura didn't have any respect for Naruto she didn't use a suffix when addressing him as an insult. But, as they later worked together as teammates and friends, they developed a special bond and she didn't feel the need to add a suffix since they became very close.

I personally don't like it when authors have Sakura address Narruto with 'kun' but I can live it. I just find it awkward and dislike when some authors have Naruto not use '-chan' when referring to Sakura because that he only drops the suffix when he is mad at her (i.e. fighting Sasuke in the hospital roof top and when he learned about the news of Jiraiya). He never shows respect to anyone or addresses them properly, and Sakura happens to be the only exception. I see that as a significant point about his character and personality.

Thank you for pointing that out, I forgot about it, and I'm too lazy to look it up.

Anyway, I read stories all the time with "Naruto-kun", but it still irritates me, whereas I like chan because of what I previously stated, and the fact he uses it in the manga/anime, so both are expressing how close they are when just talking.

A lemon isn't due until nearing the end of the fiction, which isn't going to be published until finished, which it won't be finished for a very long time. Oh, no michael that wasn't a personal jab! Sorry if I made it sound that way. I was speaking in general terms. LOL I can appreciate a lemon at the end or after really good development. What I dislike is the " I -think- I- love-you-now-can-you-help-me-take-my-pants-off" fic archetype I see so often. Its cute when there are a few ecchi moments, its just the lack of development I detest.

And of course you haven't read one of my fics before, this would be my first, and I don't think you or anyone besides me will be reading it for a long time now. You know what I hate about fanfics? Writing them, you have all of it in your head already but things just come out so different when you write them, its perfect when its in my mind but when I translate it it just becomes yuck. Thats why I rewrite my chapters alot.

But you know what I really hate in a fanfic? SasuSaku, I'm not trying to bash the pair or anything but Sasuke already had his chance.

High school Stories: Hmm, sasuke as the emo, sakura as the cheerleader, Naruto as the rebel. Oh your so original.

I don't have a problem with peoples grammar for instance someone putting there as opposed to their. Its not so bad, doesn't hurt anybody. I think some people just like to be elitists and point out the smallest errors. But yeah, mispelling the names does annoy me. I hate the little thank yous they write before and after chapters.

SONG FICS. Especially with songs writtien by Usher. I can only imagine how many "Everytime we touch" fics their are. Go to youtube type in any popular anime couple followed by everytime we touch.



And Yaoi.

Eh, I don't mind the spelling if its a mistake every once in a while but you'll find alot of errors in translated fics, which in the case of translation and a few once in while I can understand perfectly A. you should be grateful they translated the fic. B. no one is perfect.

But constant errors do bug me, quite a bit. I'll live.

One of the prevailing myth's about them is that they somehow protect you against copyright lawsuits. They don't. If they do anything at all in that regard is that they make intent even easier to prove.

However, I will explain why we require them anything. When you write fanfiction, you are using the work of another. You are taking characters, settings, events, etc. that are not yours and using them for you own story. Copyright holders don't have to sit around and let people do this. They could sue and they'd probably win. So, given that you are doing this and you know you are, the least that we, as fans, could do is acknowledge that the work our stories are derived from and give the original authors credit for the work they created.

Right, but doing it on every chapter gets pretty annoying, you would only have to do it one time anywhere in the fic preferrably at the beginning or end, not every chapter.
