...What? None of the girls can be considered his love interest yet? What do they need him and Salad or the Clone to have sex on screen?  Salad has been obviously the official love interest since chapter 700, and you can say officially became it by the movie. In the manga all she does is beat people up to look cool, look sexual, and either get annoyed by Boruto or get sexually aroused by him. They were so eager to proclaim Hinata was Naruto's love interest the second she walked on screen. What with them suddenly having this old fashion even Puritanical stance for the sequel?

Personally, it's too early to declare if someone is officially the love interest or not.

 

 

My writing was critiqued very rough, and the class was excruciatingly difficult. But I do know what I am talking about. That does not make me better, only qualified. Further, my point had nothing to do with what you are establishing, but who taught me was attacked as wrong, and I explained to them how that judgment was faulty, by not only giving that background, but explaining to them why it is okay to break writing rules. The latter isn't even debatable, literature teachers know it is okay to do this, and we can point in successful stories where it was done, and why it worked. That doesn't mean we teach sixth graders for example to do this, you learn the rules first, and then you learn to break them. 

 

I'm aware I can come off down-putting, and I've apologized for it in the past. I've done my best to cull that recently, but attacking my background doesn't help. 

 

You haven't put anything forward though on what I am analyzing wrong. Plot? Character elements? Narrative flow? I can't substantiate what you are getting at further without some elaboration.

Okay fine we all do we get it NH is the best ship on the whole Planet the best romantic pairing ever to be put to paper.

Qualified for what? For being wrong? If that's the case then you are more than qualified.

I or anyone for that matter cannot have a proper discussion with you because you don't know what you're talking about.

You don't know what subjective or objective means, you mix them up and say that stories should/have to be analyzed subjectively when that's wrong. You continue to switch their meaning when it suits you. You don't know what a retcon is and you said and I quote:

To be honest I actually laughed out loud when I read that. A retcon is not creating new canon, as you call it. It's changing established information which most of the time will result a mess. It's not adding new stuff, it's changing it.

You don't know what contrived means, honestly here I don't recall what you said contrived is. You don't know what a review is, you thought a summary is a review.

 

In another thread you started to use your higher education as an argument to someone else, and I have to ask what higher education? Nothing you have ever said on this forum has proven that, in fact it's proven the opposite. What that you heard the words that storytellers and critics use and you started to use them? Yet you have no idea what they mean.

 

In my language there's an old saying, "Nimeni nu s-a nascut invatat" translation "No one was born with knowledge" it's means that in life we learn things, we weren't born with them. You can learn these things, if you accept the fact that you're wrong. Whether it's because that's how you were taught or you didn't understand what was said, it doesn't matter. Qualified to talk about the writing aspect of things, since I studied the skeleton of things. 

 

I've explained what objective and subjective means, and I understand the difference. 

 

I also know what retcon means, and the definition I formed is the literal translation of what you put up above: I.E., we are establishing new information, I.E., new canon, because it contradicts the old, the new however is the established rule now. Thus, -my- definition is not wrong. Your comprehension of my definition? That is incorrect. Retcons aren't always even bad even, despite what you argue. Sometimes the new explanation is simply needed to account for an inconsistency, that said, those things often called retcons in Naruto? Not a retcon. Sorry.

Pretty much. And what's most hypocritical is that she never tries to support her own arguments with anything resembling facts.  Whenever someone here argues, we're generous enough to offer links to interviews,  manga panels,  databook entries, the works. She denies every bit of it without any presentation of her own to refute what we use as evidence. She has not once made the effort. And despite being a literary study(so she claims), she misuses terms like retcon, doesn't understand what it means to be subjective and objective, etc.

 

She also can't keep her own arguments straight.  Because first she insists that NH and SS are perfectly "healthy" couples, then she makes ridiculous claims that NS is just as emotionally abusive as SS.  It's either one or the other, Umbridge.  You can't have it both ways.

 

It's just like Nostramus says, I think she's compulsively contrary because she can't stand her "facts"(opinions) being challenged. And since she can't logically defend them, she goes for the "You're wrong/lying/fake news/factually incorrect/you misunderstood." fallback strategy because she has no follow through afterwards.  And honestly, that's an unhealthy mentality to have when you're debating with someone, or just having casual conversation.

Salad is a pairing fodder is not devaluing her character. It's acknowledging what her character is. Her becoming burito love interest is her fate. It's what happen to her mother and Hinata.

The rest of her is not important because this manga title is salad and she's not burito equal.

Oh I don't need love arrow to figure out that she will develop into one because her role as the heroine is to become pairing fodder. Especially in this manga.

The thing is I don't have anything against her for having an opinion that's different than ours. That's actually great, that's what makes us humans unique.

However she says and acts like her opinions are facts because her teacher was that guy, thus she's more qualified to analyze the story than us. But what she says indicates the opposite.

She fails to understand that the difference between an opinion and a fact. I don't think that she ever questioned that guy's explanations on what he was saying. I don't think the thought of that guy being an idiot ever crossed her mind. If she even studied under that guy.

 

This forum is indeed open to all, but when all your replies to people are "You're wrong because my subjective analysis which is correct tells me blah blah blah and it's a fact because I have a higher education." which if you haven't figured it out the translation to that is this "You're wrong because my opinion is fact."

When all the replies are like that, then we hit a limit. It's like someone comes up to you and slaps you and slaps and slaps and slaps you... eventually you had enough.

 

I didn't block her because of my discussions with her, but because her discussions with all of you. I don't enjoy seeing someone talking like they're from a higher position than the rest, yet they have no idea what the bloody hell they're actually talking about.

If she was indeed smarter than us, I would actually enjoy that. In this life I've learned that no matter how much knowledge I have, there will always be someone with more. I enjoy having a conversation with someone who's more knowledgeable than me. It gives me a chance to learn and it gives me a different perspective, one that maybe I would've never thought about.

But when someone who's not very bright talks down to someone who clearly knows a thing or two, then I have a problem.

You could though, as Boruto could end up alone or with someone else, we're not that far into the manga yet. You could say Boruto and Sarada might happen, but I don't think there's enough to foreshadow it will happen

Here's the difference: The manga is over, and the author said it was. Context restores meaning to that which you tried to show there was none. 

  you do realize people can lie right?? It is very simple for an author to say "oh i planned that from the very beginning"

Even if we are assuming the author is lying, if the source material lines up with his words, you are going to be in a far better position to make a strong case. 

That is your opinion (that the source material is lining up with what he is saying) Id debate you on this, but after looking through alot of your posts, I've come to see that would be fruitless with you. so ill just leave it here.
