Is it only me, or the animation looks weird ???
I wouldn't take it so literally. It's coming from baruto after all. Odds are he was told sasuke beat him when they were young and thinks that means he was stronger.

Voice cast was just released:
Ryūichi Kijima plays Mitsuki, a ninja in the same team as the title character Boruto and Sarada. Atsushi Abe plays Inojin Yamanaka, the son of Sai and Ino. Saori Hayami plays Himawari Uzumaki, the daughter of Naruto and Hinata. Hiroki Yasumoto plays Kinshiki, the obedient subordinate of the mysterious man Momoshiki.
Kensho Ono will play Shikadai Nara, the son of Shikamaru Nara and Temari, and Daisuke Namikawa will play Momoshiki, the mysterious man who launched a surprise attack on the Hidden Leaf Village.

Naruto became Hokage in chapter 700 because Kakashi quits his job. End of story.
Just like @Catra said this is a marketing strategy to attract people to watch their crappy movie that no one asked for.

Oh boy. I truly believe The Last was the fault to make Root A badly animated. Yes, it's still crap, but the budget did show in Root A over season 1.Ew, why does Shinoa have to share her voice actress with a thing like Himawari? Ugh
Plus, why is Kuroko's voice actor participating in this garbage fest? Gross...

Season 1 of TG was a masterpiece compared to Root A. But then again, everything SP touches turns to crap, soOh boy. I truly believe The Last was the fault to make Root A badly animated. Yes, it's still crap, but the budget did show in Root A over season 1.

So expect the next movie take a huge toll on anime again...They probably thought it would earn them a lot of money since it is the (not) last movie. But when you basically destroy a whole franchise in one single film, that's not always the case.

They`ll probably just be limited to just cheering on for Boruto and Naruto if we are lucky. Expect lots of: Oni-chan! Oni-chan! from Himawari

So does anyone want to guess how powerful the spawn will ultimately become? Chunin tier? Jonin, perhaps? Logically, they shouldn't even be glancing the cusp of their parents' power levels - what with the nations having forged permanent alliances with each other and the shortage of actual shinobi missions to test their mettle in. They also lack the natural advantages afforded to Naruto and Sasuke when they were children such as bijuu chakra and the Curse Seal.
