Is the chapter going to conclude that, Obito was able to redeem his former self (although he was taken over by evil woman now), while Madara will die as...him. Or did you guys have any other view along the way he will able to recover from being all high and mighty?

That is cool...thank you. Though doesn't this actually help my original point? Sakura calling Lee Lee-San shows that even in his dream he doesn't fancy his chances of being with Sakura.

Besides, your argument can actually be easily dismissed by the fact that this dream reflects Lee's desire (that's the whole point of the infinite tsukuyomi). This dream gives Lee everything he wants, no matter how impossible he realistically thinks it might be.

 

When you think about it the dream proves that Lee actually likes that Sakura calls him Lee-san, or at the very least it's irrelevant to him. If Lee had a desire for Sakura to not use -san then the dream would make that be true.

 

The Infinite Tsukuyomi gives the people everything they want no matter how little chances they think they have of obtaining it. Your explanation about Lee having realistic expectations in his dream actually goes against the whole point of the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Maybe Lee just LIKES being called by -San? its the equivalent of mr/mrs. Like Mr. T, it sounds tough and manly.
 

 

I'm not sure why suffixes are so hard for people to grasp but -Chan is a often attached to a boyfriend/Girl friends name. Mamoru and Usagi being a prime example. I mean they are pretty much the pinnacle of "True love" status but she goes around calling him "Mamo-chan" and he calls her "Usako" as in Little Rabbit. As close as they all are, all the Senshi call Usagi with -chan. Not because they aren't close but because its a cute way to call one another. 

Not using a suffix with someone you don't know or are not friends with is probably one of the rudest things you can do to someone. ( by Japanese standards at least.) 

The fact that Sakura does it, and it does not bother Naruto- and never has says a lot about his feelings towards her. He doesn't consider it disrespectful even when she was doing it during her first appearance if I recall correctly. Naruto doesn't NEED to stop calling her by -chan to be closer to her. Its just a what he likes to call her because he thinks its cute, it has nothing to do with being close or not close.

But I wasn't talking about the suffixe -chan. I didn't even mentionned it. I know what is means. And all my post was about Sakura NOT changing calling Naruto as she's doing, that's to say not calling him "Naruto-kun". I never talked about Naruto and his "Sakura-chan". 

 

I was taling about -kun which is used for boys of the same age or less old than you as a sign of respect or for the boy you like. But I'm sure that not calling someone with any suffixe can be seen as either a sign of disrespectful or a sign of closeness. That's what I was saying. 

 

@ Harry4e: I know, it gets on my nerves too when I see fanfics in which she's calling him Naruto-kun just because she's supposed to be in love with him. Just because she calls Sasuke "Sasuke-kun" and Hinata "Naruto-kun" doesn't mean that Sakura would call Naruto -kun if she was dating him. I swear thoses people should do some research before doing their fanfic, because I find it so ridiculous. Especially when I see a story in which Sakura is falling for Naruto and suddenly say "Naruto-kun" like it was an automatism when you are in love. You know like it was a pokemon evolution. I usually click on the red cross on the top-right corner.

I'm just under the assumption that in the narutoverse once someone calls you something its stuck with you.

Which is why Sakura calls Lee, "Lee-san" in the dream and Sakura still calls Sasuke, "Sasuke-kun" despite the fact that whenever they meet now after 3 years of being apart its almost always with a chidori and a near death experience.

Even if she knows Naruto likes Sakura, there's like no way she can know that he's in love with her. The only ones that could actually notice this are Naruto's own teammates. Even Sai didn't know that he was deeply in love with Sakura until he got beat up by Karui.

I 've been reading pages and pages and I'm fascinated with the comments xD, I 've been reading from Wednesday but as I 've been busy so far I wanted to write something today I know is very late xD

That chapter was VERY interesting , I thought we were not going to see the dreams of others because it was something worthy of a filler, but Kishimoto handled it very well, everyone's desires from the simple and superficial to the most moving , was shocked by some of them both makes you happy to see them as Tsunade and Gaara , he was so moved by it until Naruto said "is a huge lie ! " I must admit that I also woke up my emotions that line.

how Kishimoto handled it makes me believe that they have to understand everyone this apparent happiness is a lie, is how to evolve and grow their characters every once and for all, they have to learn what we want is not always what makes us happy , as he says inferno180 on tumblr ( shocking and amazing post by the way) is not the destination, it is the journey which leads us to happiness, happiness to get for yourself and after a very difficult road everything you have.

I think they have to choose between those desires that they believe that makes them happy and reality with all its flaws but it is actually more significant

Again Naruto surprises me with what has been one of its most powerful manga skills : emotional maturity , Naruto knows this from the inside,it's a huge lie ! happiness of hard work to fight for everything you have and have grown Through any kind of pain.

Can I add that Lee also uses -san for Sakura and if he uses it then he accepts it. If anything it would even out his affection for Sakura.

 

We have to assume that only Sai consciously classifies relationships based on the use of suffixes while the others are acting out unconsciously.

 

It may also mean that they do actually put a meaning behind the suffixes.

 

When Naruto heard of Jiraiya's demise from Pa frog he got upset that Pa frog called Jiraiya with the -chan suffix.

And not just any wood jutsu , he  practically controlled the holy tree , which  is only possible if you are the Juubi's host . 

 

Sasuke , with his new eye , can only dispel the dream . My  guess though is that he can not do that while people are still trapped by the tree.

So the question would be who is going to release people from their pods first , because Kaguya most certainly won't be willing to do so and at the moment she is the only one that can do it .

 

Is it possible that at some point in this fight Sasuke will get controlled by Kaguya or somehow manage to control her power himself ? That is the only way I see for a person to have both the rinnegan to dispel the dream and the Juubi to control the tree .

But I do believe the reason is for Naruto to snap for a moment. To be honest, I actually kind of want that. No, not going to be Obito, but it will rage him and Sasuke would be like, "O_O" Since Kaguya is immortal at the very least, might as well go all out that almost certain that it would have kill a normal man, but in this case, she will be badly hurt. If anything, check FMA final battle. That part I would like Naruto do. Just go all out and go all killing style, but at least Kaguya will still survive. Again, you're fighting a Goddess, so go berserk.
