I'm not too bothered by Sakura's comment of Sasuke not caring. I don't think she still didn't already believe this. She most definitely believed it during the Team 7 reunion in the Kage Summit Arc, but I think when Sasuke started fighting with them in 632 she almost felt like T7 was back to normal and she let a part of her hope. She still had her doubts (clear in 635), but Sasuke's coldness confirmed it. She wasn't surprised, just sad.
Team 7 very clearly still needs a lot of work. Their teamwork was awful and that was the whole point. It's realistic. All three of them particularly Sasuke, have gone through different experiences. They've been separated for so long and the only time Naruto and Sakura's path with Sasuke's intersected was as enemies. The Team 7 bond will be fixed as best as possible through all the kitten they've been through at the end of the manga, but it's never going to be the same. All three of them changed.
Sasuke's kitten behavior in this chapter wasn't surprising. I even like it because it's realistic. He's not "good", doesn't embrace friendship, and he's still refusing to appreciate Team 7. He's not psycho anymore, but the indifference and coldness of Sasuke is still there. He didn't do a complete 180 by "deciding to protect Konoha" and I do think his dream to be Hokage is genuine, but selfishly motivated.
After re-reading the chapter, I don't think Sasuke was trying to kill Sakura. He was probably just following the diversion idea and attempting to attack Madara from the side. I'm not saying Sasuke cares about Sakura, but I don't think he's the type to needlessly kill even if she was caught. This isn't Psycho Sasuke. I'm assuming he feels the same he did pre-Itachi's death about killing. And remember, Sasuke did save her with Naruto in 632. Though that was probably more of a "Since I'm here" unemotional save because that's how see Sasuke now. If she died either back then or now, he wouldn't give a kitten. This chapter made this clear no matter what Sasuke's motive was.
