I always found Oda's art style odd, idk how to put it.... Naruto's art is a lot more simpler (and realistic like you said) than OP's, the style is easier to follow with.

yeah the anime is just terrible. people use to praise op anime for lack of fillers, but that's because their anime does one chapter per episode, with a long ass recap to start it off and dragged out scenes.

  
I don't mind the anime, I just watch it for the entertainment factor.

Nope. They're doing it next week lol they ended this episode talking about "who is he" then the title of the next episode has Sabo's name in it lmfao I was like "really?"

anime before pre-skip is good, even though nearing its end it was getting in that kitten territory that it's in now. but the time skip it's absolutely dreadful. stick to the manga.

Beats me. But if it were up to me the whole Otsutsuki clan and any connection to it would never happen. They've all been one dimensional characters and everything about them has been completely contradictory to the themes of the story. You can tell that it wasn't planned very well, considering how late into the story they were introduced. Hamura, and his powers given to Hinata, were just one asspull apart of the greater asspull that were the Otsutsukis.

The Rikudou was need to appear since he was foreshadowed a long time ago, however his mute mother and really nonexisting brother until the movie didn't need to exist at all.

Lol that gif is from the movie "Film Z", I really liked it. I would go with the manga, I like the anime personally, but it kinda drags because they go at a slower pace than most anime. I would go through the anime after the manga, for the entertainment value of it and to see the fights and stuff.

That makes sense, Rikudou was foreshadowed in manga, but his relatives - not even once (aside of sons), without Kaguya and her second son (aka plot twist for The Last) it could be done much more naturally and well suited in story, just like NS ending... oh wait, that's mean logic... silly me

In pre-timeskip episodes of anime - was much more action scenes (more moves of characters), better animation. Animators could fit 2 chapters of manga in 1 anime episode.

After timeskip episodes of anime - worst animation that I saw, much more static scenes (1 picture of character, that only mouth moves). Only strict 1 chapter per 1 episode. Filler scenes in almost every episode, whole filler episodes.

Yeah but I feel like it went a little too far with the Rikudou. I didn't like that his role was basically to give a history lesson and free powerups for Naruto and Sasuke, plus I felt everything about him and his family was really forced at the end there. Now that I know more about him he's completely uninteresting, same with the rest of the Otsutsuki clan.

I feel like Rikudou could have a completely different role than what we got. I feel like he got extras when we start going too deep into his story like all the sudden he exist not that far ago. I feel like the legend should have remain a legend. Plus, his design got change couple of times.

I agree I think it would have been better if he just remained a legend, and a kind of goal for Obito, and Madara, to achieve in terms of power. At least we wouldn't have to deal with Kishi's asspulls that were caused by introducing him and his mother into the story

There were many red flags in terms of story. I saw it coming but I wanted to hope for stuff. Nope, it got more confusing, especially Zetsu being the guy to change story.

All of it was just thrown together as quickly as possible with as little to no explanation as possible.

It did went way too far with him and yes it was forced. In the end a mysterious figure that save the world ended up being an old fart that keep saying his time was up and also he was incredibly stupid. He asked Sasuke what he wants to do, Sasuke tells him that he wants to kill Naruto and the Rikudou gives him the power to do it.

 

That's like having two sons and going to them and asking them:

Dad: Hey son what do you want to do in the future?

Son 1:Well dad I have a lot of friends and I really want to protect them.

Dad: Ok son here's a gun to protect them. But be careful only use it when you need to protect your friends.

Son 1: Thanks dad.

Dad: And you my other son, what do you want to do?

Son 2: I want to kill my brother aka your son.

Dad: Ok my son here's the gun to do it.
