Its kinda strange that they revealed Sasuke's not gonna die & Kakashi will be hokage and that Naruto isn't hokage now....which was more of a subject of suspense



But, they didn't reveal anything about pairings...which were actually secondary

Just reading whats being said, which points to the fact Sasuke is apparently redeemed and is fine to have in the village. And the fact that he is Kakashi's Elite Guard.

I'm honestly baffled of what I have witnessed today
It's not that I'm against him being in the village, it actually helps me out in some ways, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend that I know everything about the movie and jump into conclusions from sentences who we have no idea who they're talking to, if it's even in the movie or some marking quotes, and if they're connected.

Sasuke lives, kakashi being the 6th Hokage. These are spoilers.

To be fair Sasuke living was something we all knew for a very long time now.

 

Kakashi as the 6th hokage isn't really that much of a spoiler since its been hinted at since before Jiraiya's fight with Pain. Obito saying that will be hokage and even giving him a present because he was just that confident in him taking office sort of already confirmed he was going to be hokage before Naruto.

I completely agree. It's Kishi's way of wrapping up all things that he's introduced into the story, which is a good practice in story-telling. This whole war arc was actually a way for different story points and themes to converge, before they move on to being resolved. Everything's coming in full circle, and Kishi seems to be doing a very thorough job about it, too.

Question: when the movie is played in December we won't get it til next year right? So how will we see the movie? Anyone wanna smuggle a camera in there or are we just going to hear what happens in the movie and talk about it that way. I would like to think the battle is over by then and NS is canon, but if it isn't..

 

I'm guessing that the manga will effectively wrap up the story. If things are well written, even if the movie is part of the canon material or, at the very least, can be tied into it, we should be able to enjoy the story without needing the movie. That is, the movie should be able to stand alone, even if it has a context in what's canon. (I hope that's the case.) I think it would be odd for Kishi to split the canon material between film and published work, since not everyone has access to both media, if that makes sense, not to mention that there would probably be a lot of inconsistencies in how the plot would be developed. (Obviously, things can be better developed in the manga, since it's longer and has slower pacing, whereas a film would have to cram a bunch of stuff, even if it's not a lot of the plot, into a very limited amount of time.)

Agreed! I'm really starting to think the movie is a transition between part 2 and 3. Part 2 will hopefully be wrapped up by the end of the year before the movie, but the movie is canon, so it'd be nice if we could see what's next/the aftermath of the war. Especially considering what happened with RTN, I think we had to wait a year for that one. Though there was a Korean dub lol. I just don't know of we'll have to wait for a DVD release or an unofficial release that has no subs/dubbed in another language.

 

Well, as much as part 3 would be fun, I'm not sure whether Kishi would be able to actually write an entire 3rd part, considering that most plot points already seem to be well on their way to being resolved. Maybe it's just a context for the implied time skip? I really don't know what to predict with this story, anymore.

So another question, regarding character design: If Naruto's hand with the tattoo is bandaged, does the same apply to Sasuke? Of course, if I read the chapters correctly in all their chaos, their tattoos are gone, so perhaps this isn't a valid guess, although I can't help but be curious.

I think that it means it's a little show on TV, that's all. And on this show they will give informations about the movie along with coming back on several events of the manga like Naruto's birth, the fated rivals and Team 7 reunion.

I personnaly think the remaining sketches will be released the same way as the previous one, in SJ. 

I hope this show will be more about the plot of the movie itself.
