Wow, powerful post. Lots of good points. Goes along with the Miyazaki articles and the Washington Post articles on sexism and gender inequality in Japan.

Though I wonder if those WSJ statistics she mentioned are legitimate. That 80% are female and that 70% are dissatisfied with the ending.

I believe the stats on gender is true that women were reading more than guys, though that was two years ago. Now, I don't know. As for the other one, I really don't know.

Edit: Oh yeah, and the final cover is weak an uninspired. Hate it. But it's a fitting end to a series that imploded. Even Naruto's turning his back on it.

I believe the stats on gender is true that women were reading more than guys, though that was two years ago. Now, I don't know. As for the other one, I really don't know.

I believe the part about 80% female readers. Now that I look back on the series you really see how little the women did. Naruto was just a cast of dull pretty boys.

 

I'd like to think that that 70% statistic is true.

That cover is about as bland and boring as Hinata's personality, and it looks so out of place compared to the other manga covers

Tbh I am expecting the cover will have naruto vs sasuke, because it will fit with the volume.

Watching how people are happy with this ending, makes me feel bad. How the kitten something so random can be tolerated? And people kitten's on everyone who liked NS for whatever reason. For God's sake, how stupid this is? Even mangaka confirmed that only reason he made it - pitty. But people be like "we canon, and you not". FFS, they require some treatment or either beating up for kitten they wish and do to other people (remember their wishes too SK fans?). I'm totally against even whishing something bad to people, but these pricks just asking for it. This fandom really toxic with whole NH fanclub... For God's sake, you got everything you wanted, with awesome aspull, why don't you sit in corner and be happy with it? But not trying to force and back-talk everyone who disagree with it.

Now it's not even about story, those people deserve some dagame on their side, if logic is irrelevant to them, they must be hurted with other ways, for kitten they doing, but that's not gonna happend. We will see just more and more NH bs and fanatics coming on all people who will try and say something.

I guess the NH fandom doesn't realize that most of us that remain don't care anymore that NaruSaku isn't canon and are just in it to see how far this series can fall. I have to say prior to the ending I did not expect this to happen. Not one bit. But now anything SP and Kishi do won't surprise me. All respect for them and this series has been lost for good.

Some people tell you are angry because NS did not become canon, others  kishi interviews are not important or the do not about  them. Even some neutral but supporters of NS give up easily and the story is good. The reviewers know the true, but they do not want to admit.
