There should have been team 7 on it, or at the very least the Sauce, but nope we only have older Naruto's back, and Kishi messed up with the details. Good lord how low has this series come.

I may very well be one of the few here, but I like the Sauce, most definitely in a non-fangirlish way tough, he was cute in part 1 and a total wackadoodle in part 2, it was interesting, but at the end he failed to deliver. The Sauce has a lot of issues and multiple fixations, but at least he's interesting, Hinata is not even interesting she's just a Mary Sue (let's thank the Last for this. >_>).

Personally I don't think he came off this debacle scot free, Kishi reduced him to 'Sanchez-the-wanderer-with-the-poncho' and that's just so lame....He's a super controversial character that many hate and many love, but he has always been one of the MCs, the Antihero or Deuteragonist or whatever; Naruto was the protagonist and Sakura the Female Lead. 

But nope, with the Last Hinata became the Protagonist, Naruto's only her reward, Sakura is the 'nice-onee-chan-like-side-character', Toni is the deus ex machina and Sauce is just a 'cameo-character'.

They raped the series for Hinata.  Damn them all...

I gave a brief look at that interview and... meh.
A such boring and totally uninteresting interview. It's just a revolting bit of brown-nosing with each other about their works (Naruto and the blade of the Immortal). on how some themes had their importance in their works (such like bonds, vengences, etc).

Seriously, there is nothing absolutely interesting there.
As a fan of Blade of the Immortal, it's a shamde to approach their endings together, but unfortunately the two mangakas are friends each other.

I'm not sure if I can put it right, but what I see that in the end, he was alone(?)...even his team was not there...not his 'adorable' ta-da 'espresso families', his important bonds...a lot more interesting perspective can be made but because of the blown-up, this cover make me feels like Kishi implying that everything was...a failure? Or saying he was on top of the world (nah, not quite feel like that), or "what did I achieve now actually?"

 

Edit : Or he just simply implying...Naruto...with nothing(?). Just it. And money can sure make you lost sight of many things, kishi, especially a tremendous careless slip up and mistakes, man.

That's a really important point. I know a lot of people, myself included, lamented the fact that 700 was so focused on showing the new couples and their spawn. There was never a triumphant scene where Naruto got acknowledged by Konoha as a whole when he was named Hokage. As much as his goals were becoming Hokage and winning Sakura's love, he also wanted acknowledgment. I wanted to see a moment in 700 where he was surrounded by his fellow rookies, seeing him gain the respect of his village and accomplishing his dream. This volume cover seems to reinforce the isolation you saw in 700.

 

Of course, the scene I described does sound an awful lot like the end of the Pein fight. Maybe he shoulda ended there...

That's really interesting, I didn't think there were so many otaku in Japan, but if they alter the demographic in that way they must be quite a lot indeed.

 

Where does 'the 70% of the Fandom hate the ending' thing comes from tough? Do we have a source? Still, it warms my heart to see that we are so many hating on the ending and the Last.

Its ok if you liked them individually   I meant more as a team as a unit I hate their guts  they do not function at all  they are the worst team ever and don't deserve the hype they got  just bc they have power  the author failed miserably to develop and portray their dynamic which was utter kitten bc of Sasuke in it  .  Sakura's development always suffered bc of the ridiculous S/N  she was hardly present in the team then and was getting sidelined  .  Honestly  this team was way better with Sai in it and Sasuke out  bc at least they worked and had a more equal dynamic of getting to know eachother and working together , Old T7 was mostly SasuNaru , KakaSasu, NaruSaku  never the three of them working as team  sign . The team is over exaggerated  and blown out of proportion . 

 

Of course Sasuke's character was destroyed to and didn't came out scot free but not on the level of Naruto and Sakura  , heck Hinata's character was to  Sasuke is on that level destroyed slightly more . Sasuke was the Drama Queen in this story  he had no clear purpose for a long time and was here just for the sake of useless drama  , everything was revolved around him  when it shouldn't have  , got everything for free  and  Naruto's and Sakura's characters suffered the most  when he was put into the picture  their development regressed to whiny brats instead to progress  bc Sasuke needed to be in the center or glorified for no purpose at all  . Sasuke may be complex  and that's fine  but it does him no good when his character is a satellite   and has no clue WTH he wants and shifting goals left and right  he's all over the place  there was no consistency with him and that is why he sucks  and this manga suffered bc of him  the characters needed to be downplayed ,regressed just so he can be prized and fit into the kitten plot  .

 

There is so much I can go but I'll better stop  . The way I see it  Sasuke's overall unnecessary focus  started the destruction of the manga but Hinata FINISHED IT !!! On a whole different level  as she put everyone's character into the dust   Even Prince Sasuke   .  For this reasons I consider Hinata worse then Sasuke but really he's closely following behind her sign.

I agree with this. Sasuke had some interesting points and as a bad guy there was potential there. But Kishi's love affair with the Uchiha derailed the manga to such an extent that I could never really like Sasuke. It became about him way, way too much. And because of this, Kishi never really embraced Sasuke's bad-guy-ness to the extent he could. You always knew he was going to be redeemed and everything was going to work out just fine. That takes away so much of the tension.

funny since it was a a theme completely ignored in the movie, as if Nardo has never dreamed of becoming Hokage all this time. I though his dream was sleeping between Hinata'sama's kittens.
