The Last carries quite a bit of appeal because of the name's suggestive nature as being the final film of Naruto alongside the added "benefit" (if you want to call it such) of a romantic relationship finally coming to fruition.
 

The costs for The Last are likely to not overlap RtN by some extreme multiple of five or higher. Its production and promotion value is obviously greater than RtN's, perhaps even double it. But if this recent film garners triple or more of the box office for its predecessor, then it's probably safe to argue that the net profit has surpassed RtN's.

How many of that percentage read it online? How many percentage reading are satisfied with the manga? How many of them are NH? How many percentage of them will actually go to the theater to watch it?

Since this website really hasn't been all too reliable on giving accurate projections regarding the financial situation, that point continues to stand, I suppose.
 

Let's look at it this way. I sometimes check 2ch to watch the currency rate, how the currency is moving, why it's moving, why the analysts think it's moving. I rely on the people there to give me an idea of what the other people doing currency exchange rate think. I also make sure to keep a watchful eye on the rate of exchange between currencies. In fact, it's become something of a daily occurrence to factor in the increased/decreased value whenever calculations are made for potential earnings.

The issue with your analogy is that no lone box office figure or website dedicated to recording its cumulative earnings in the US specifically has been offered up, unlike Japan where I believe even the critic websites have a listing of the profits gained by the most popular films.

As I've already stated in my previous post, it was random guesstimate based on intuition and assumption on what the percentages of profit Pierrot may be allowed to retain from the market in the US. These questions you're asking are difficult to quantify because there's no official study or poll or analysis or anything else of the sort that could be used to record data of the amount of people who happen to read Naruto, whether their drooling infants or a decrepit senior citizen, or the percentage who chooses to read the manga via piracy on the web.

My assumptions for the amount of people who will attend the screenings are based on several different factors like the size of the country's population, supposed availability of the series to the general public, the previous earnings of past Naruto films, and a bit of conjecture tossed in. It's still guesswork, but considering how Naruto has ranked constantly as #1 in terms of manga sales in the US, and the fact that the US happens to be one of the largest markets for Naruto outside of Japan, that guesstimate of a population worth of viewers numbering in the tens of thousands isn't unreasonable.
