I thought we were talking about budgets? Why are you suddenly talking about opinions of fans? 2ch is an opinion based website. So of course it's one source where you can receive opinions about people. But what we're talking about here is movie budgets and costs. You cannot get official information of costs and budgets from an opinion website. I thought this was obvious.
Because you referenced 2chan, and that website's population have been brought to attention usually when the subject pertains to fan opinons or thought, not statistical data.
Any attempts to extract data from the people there should be rightly ignored, yes? Or is there anything from that group of fans that can be relied upon in terms of numerical data that hasn't told to us?
Yeah so? How much money will it take to show the THE LAST abroad? How many people are going to watch it? What's the sales? Cost? There's no point in discussing how successful THE LAST is going to be compared to RTN if we don't know the profitability.
A random guesstimate is what you're asking for? Well anywhere between 20-30% of all profits is my assumption. Plus an additional 30-40% maybe for promotion and merchandising would leave Pierrot with less than half of any money earned, but it would still increase the general box office by a decent amount.
The United States alone? Again, this is just shooting in the dark, but I would assume that the amount of moviegoers will peak somewhere in the tens of thousands with a cost of $12-15 if those ticket prices are accurate. The Last carries quite a bit of appeal because of the name's suggestive nature as being the final film of Naruto alongside the added "benefit" (if you want to call it such) of a romantic relationship finally coming to fruition.
I told you about Lupin the third as an example of a movie that lost in sales because it received bad reviews from fans after the first week. But they still got 2.4B in Japan alone. So, in comparison to that 'I' don't find it successful. Whether it's more successful than RTN or not is another question we have to wait until we get numbers of costs.
The costs for The Last are likely to not overlap RtN by some extreme multiple of five or higher. Its production and promotion value is obviously greater than RtN's, perhaps even double it. But if this recent film garners triple or more of the box office for its predecessor, then it's probably safe to argue that the net profit has surpassed RtN's.
8.1 to movie that isn't even airing, how not biased it is to you?
I would like to believe that a few of those reviews have a thorough explanation to justify the rating, but that would be thinking too optimistically.
My friend relies on RT and IMDB. From IMDB, she searches the movie that is interesting to her, based genre or rating or whatever. From RT, she search its review. So I take it, the comments/reviews there are quite true.
That really doesn't answer my question on why the reviews from RT are more trustworthy, though.
