What review website is it that you are able to rely on without any concern of possible bias or misuse then?

Me? From what I know...it's just Imdb, they say a movie is great but it's usually not especially now with NH being biased and gonna put high marks on it, I prefer hearing from people and seeing the trailer itself to determine whether to watch it or not

I choose movie like this:

1. the actor or actreess or director - so for example one day I admire zooey deschanel, I will make a list her movies that I interested to watch

2. rating - it's clear because "why people like it? should I give it a try too?"

3. theme - sometimes I want to watch movie with certain outfits or certain period of time

4. genre - based on my mood too 

5. I think the list still can go on but I don't remember any criteria anymore

No, but I have noticed that the crux of our arguments regarding Japan's sentiments regarding the film and its characters stem from that website alone.

I thought we were talking about budgets? Why are you suddenly talking about opinions of fans?

2ch is an opinion based website. So of course it's one source where you can receive opinions about people. But what we're talking about here is movie budgets and costs. You cannot get official information of costs and budgets from an opinion website. I thought this was obvious.

Tell me, when is it RtN began to shift towards the international markets for profit? From the comments given by some of the members here, it took quite a while for it to premiere. The piracy handlers had already gotten acquired and posted the film for everyone to watch free of charge.

Yeah so? How much money will it take to show the THE LAST abroad? How many people are going to watch it? What's the sales? Cost? There's no point in discussing how successful THE LAST is going to be compared to RTN if we don't know the profitability.

It's terrible in whose eyes? The fans. Pierrot has already snubbed the established logic of the manga with a film that has caused many fans to reevaluate the meaning of the story and its cast of characters. For the studio, as long as profit can be earned, it's a success to them.

I told you about Lupin the third as an example of a movie that lost in sales because it received bad reviews from fans after the first week.

But they still got 2.4B in Japan alone. So, in comparison to that 'I' don't find it successful. Whether it's more successful than RTN or not is another question we have to wait until we get numbers of costs.

Hey! I just realize that I prefer to watch/read anime/manga that's been ended. Naruto and Psycho-Pass season 1 were exception. I gave them high expectation. Look now one of them kinda ruining the end of 2014 

 

An event? Imao, it's a manga about a boy's team playing volleyball. Sounds boring, but was surprisingly very refreshing. Wonderful team dynamic and cast. I still don't know what Haikyuu means though XD

I'm trying to balance my anime and manga schedule b/w finished and unfinished series. Only thing I can't stand are indefinite hiatus aka HunterxHunter. I swear to God if the mangaka would finally make a comeback, I would give the series a try.

So you don't believe in the possibility that other review websites might judge the film with an equally favourable viewpoint? It'd difficult to rely on anything or anyone from the West because of how tilted the fanbase is towards this movie's premise.

Slam Dunk is good for me. Now that you ask, it reminds me a bit to Naruto. Naruto = hanamichi sakuragi, Sasuke = kaede rukawa, sakura = the girl I don't remember her name. Sakuragi and rukawa are close to naruto and sasuke's personality but the girl not.

My friend relies on RT and IMDB. From IMDB, she searches the movie that is interesting to her, based genre or rating or whatever. From RT, she search its review. So I take it, the comments/reviews there are quite true.

LoL. because it is a trend here like yours...  . I was 'infected'   by my friends 3,4 years ago with it when I was a student. Now my sister is the one who carry on my legacy and keep me updated with it  . Meh, probably because as time goes by, each members has grew accustomed to each other's strength and weaknesses, that including JK. Or it was because of his injury too y'know.

Fun Fact: The mangaka of HunterxHunter is married to the mangaka from Sailer Moon.

I always thought that the main character of Slam Dunk looked funny to me. I know he's supposed to be tall and muscular, but for some reason the body proportions look of to me.

When it comes to Haikyuu, you could say that Naruto resembles Shōyō Hinata, Sasuke resembles Tobio Kageyama, and Sakura resembles Hitoka Yachi- more or less.

No I don't, the western fanbase is gonna have a war with the ratings, there are those who may be genuine but the NH fanbase are gonna go with the high rating because it's their pairing and about Hinata, the reason I trust the ratings from JP is because it's about the story to them more than the pairings and to me, it's not how much money the movie, it's the feedback pf fans who went to see it, that's why The Last isn't successful to me, no matter how much money it got, it's a lie of a movie
