This is just my speculation, but I think :
Kaido = king of demon bull.
Luffy = monkey magic aka sun wu kong aka son goku.

In the legend they are enemy and when wu kong defeat him, they become friend. After that he shook the heaven.
Will this happen in this story too?

That's a good speculation. I think that is the idea.

Lmfao this chapter was hilarious! I couldn't stop dying at Luffy cooking for everyone (and subsequently being scolded by Nami of course), burning part of the ship, etc XD luffyq1 got his wish and saw Kid looking like he got hit by a train. Kaido was funny!

That photo is obviously photshopped, there is no way anyone could have boobs so...oh wait this is One Piece, never mind. Not surprised one bit that the picutre of pudding was cute.

 

There is too much stuff happenning, we have Sanji going to Mig Mamma and Luffy following them, we have Blackbeard attacking the Revoluntionary Army's base, then we have the trouble on the Giant Elephant island, and we have Vivi and family going to the meeting of leaders....I'm not even sure if Zoro and Robin are still on the island or if they are going with the Samurai to their Island....too much stuff going on.

lord kaido is the god damn man! so glad oda gave us a preview just how lord kaido look like he's knocking on death's door. and kaido is right, luffy and law have simply been playing pirate games. now that they've been meddling lord kaido's business, he's going to show them how terrifying it truly is in the world of a pirate.

 

and what did i say about sanji? the moment he would see his fiance he would go all gaga over her. that's one of the reasons why any sanji ship can't be taken serious. as soon as a pretty lady enters, sanji no longer thinks with his brain.

 

and what the hell happened to jack? is he split in half?

The news about Baltigo was no surprise, that's been expected since Burgess showed up there. And "Destroyed" is probably an accurate statement, while overstated. I doubt Dragon really cared for the base outside of personnel and info left inside. He probably wiped the base, evacuated everyone and then let Blackbeard destroy it. It's the most logical scenario, considering that Blackbeard showing up was actually beneficial if you overlook the fact that he knew where they were. If it was an Navy person, they'd want to keep the base intact to gain as much intelligence as possible. Blackbeard showing up and destroying it is actually a benefit, because of the fact that he destroyed the base leaving nothing for the marines.

Also, little note in how attentive Oda is to detail, Kaido said that, refering to Luffy, "just because he's beat one or two Schibukai". Really impressive that Oda remembers all this stuff, especially when you consider that I often forget how old I am...

Exactly. But Moria was covered up by the Government. Which goes back to attention to detail, because that was seemingly a small occurrence at the time. I find it interesting Kaido didn't know about Moria's defeat. Kaido was the one who beat Moria in the first place, so you'd think that he'd be on the lookout for news regarding Moria. Maybe his information network isn't that strong...

The shichibukuai power-level confuses me. You got the likes of Crocodile, who is very strong. Then you got people like Doflamingo and Jinbei who are putting real fear into the shichibukai name. THEN you got Mihawk, a man at emperor levels of strength. Oh... and then Buggy.

 

RIP Bonney is Pudding theory. It's obvious that she is her daughter, but she wasn't the 35th one. Bonney for Straw Hat or riot! And by rioting I mean going on protest by reading the following chapter a minute later than I usually would. That would show 'em!

 

As for Kid, this chapter just proved he is going to remain near Luffy's level forever. What happened to Kid would easily happen to Luffy as well, but the difference is that Hawkins and Apoo are serving Kaido, while Kid is rejecting an emperor to his face. So far, we got Apoo, Hawkins, X Drake, and Capone serving emperors.

 

Also, Pudding/Purin is like... alright looking. I actually expected someone almost as good looking at Tashigi, Nami, Robin, Hancock, Bonney etc. Nami would be ashamed to see he went insane over a 7 out of 10.

oh, i see! i thought one of the scary things about an emperor is their power for intel, i guess that's kaido's weak point. also, emperors > shichibukai

The shot of Luffy and Nami reading side by side the paper was awesome. 

 

One Piece is at its absolute best when they are together. I am smiling of excitement just seeing them interacting and being so comfortable around each other. I know why I was not really interested by Dressrossa when she is not there. One Piece without Luffy and Nami side by side is not One Piece for me.

 

I would not be surprised if Nami ended up fighting the bride. Oda favors female vs female after all.
