Not so much looks, as charm. Naive, not shallow. We've seen in the released clips when she and Naruto first show up in the AU both look shocked and wary of Sasuke. Playboy Sasuke goes all out on the charm to an emotionally vulnerable Sakura (the freedom of living alone has worn off, replaced by loneliness already), and she falls for it. (Remember, she's also a girl with low self-esteem about her personality and probably still to a degree, looks) She would be vulnerable to falling for a lady charmer.

I remember how it goes. Sasuke was the one that crashes in her place. If you look at the script, she asked him what's wrong and he said nothing, I was worried about you. So, she proceed to think that this Sasuke actually cares for her, hence in the script, "You worried about me?" and then bam, a rose with a smooth talk by Sasuke got her all lovey dovey. That shows me that this Sakura, who shows her love for Sasuke, is nothing but naive. She became the victim of the group of girls who Sasuke was with later on. That's no real love and Kishi managed to taunt her love again on the big screen no less. This must his game, yes. Lol. I mean a lot of fangirls were upset by this scene. I won't be surprised they go for Naruto after this. But I digress.

Probably because of one or more of the following:

1) We already know the outcome of the movie

2) What we wanted to know has already been said

3) We have multiple tabs open and working on other things while reading the discussion for our own amusement (me)

4) We are just waiting to watch the movie ourselves


I kind of feel bad for Dovahkiin because everyone is asking him questions I feel like he already answered or was answered in past replies and people are just looking for confirmation. As he stated, he watched the movie without fully knowing what was said. He gave us a lot of detail already. All I wanted to know from him is if the movie has as much hope for the NaruSaku fandom as we are chatting about in this thread.

I wouldn't say it lost so much hope. As GRAVENIMAGE said, if trying to kill Sakura wasn't a sign for the SasuSaku fans, I am sure this small bump outside of the manga isn't going to sway the die-hard SasuSaku fans. I just learn to let them enjoy what they want. Heck, I enjoy SasuSaku but I realized I like an AU Sasuke who is separate from the manga. If Sakura meant more to Sasuke than the village or his clan, he wouldn't have tried to kill her twice. No one is above Itachi or the Uchiha family to Sasuke, not even Sakura. SasuSaku fans seem to miss this and think he likes Sakura on the same level as his clan. Just like people place Hinata on the same level of importance as Team 7. I think Naruto was the first to love Sasuke for who he is (not in a boy-love kind of way) and not any of the girls.

As dovahkiin mentioned, this movie was for development for Sakura and Naruto. If it wasn't, we wouldn't have received Sakuras parents as a bonus. I am just holding onto the fact that we have more to work with for Naruto and Sakura as a couple.

I agree.

All I am saying that the chance to be canon is really low. But, I respect them to have fun with the pairing. I don't want to rub people faces when NaruSaku becomes canon. I am not that evil. But who knows.

But seriously, the manga is about Naruto and that's not going to change at all. I do like the movie direction already not because of NaruSaku moments, but the fact the moral and the plot were handled really well by Kishi. Like I said, if the movie was about them getting what they want and feel bad that they can't keep it, then it's a bad message. Sakura is easy to understand while Naruto is more difficult because again, his dream don't have flaws. Sakura is asking for regrets and rightfully so, she becomes Naruto 2.0 female edition. If I was in the theater, I would clap loudly for bringing a great film based on Naruto, though I don't know the law in Japan. I heard it was secured to laugh or talk or anything during the film.

@Dovahkiin: BINGO! I can't wait for him to finish the war and every problems. Once that's done, he will confess and shows how strong his love is for her. It's going to be great.

I understand him all too well spent much of my childhood being "in love" with the wrong person at various times or another seemed like what attracted me to someone was that they were "in love" with someone else

I believe he knows. I just wonder when. Naruto seems really hurt when he wasn't able to achieve his promise back in part 1. What he said to Sai proves me that Naruto is serious about his feelings for her. So serious, that if he were to fail keep the promise, he will never forgive himself. I remember the Itachi's genjutsu showing Naruto's worst nightmare. Sakura is one of them. That's how much he cares about her happiness. While that all sounds good, the sad part is that he is "sealed" to tell his feelings to Sakura because of all the problems he has to deal. Sakura has a point, he has to stop pushing too fast and let people help him. Itachi once again said it and told him he can turn into Tobi 2.0.

My best bet is that Naruto will drop more subtle hint to Sakura that he loves her. She knows that he loves her but not Naruto. It feels like a test game now. Let's see how serious is his love for Sakura. It's only matter of time until Naruto finally express his feelings. Like I said, the day when that happen will be great not just for us, but for the general fans.

I know right. I said this for the past 3 weeks and warned everyone that trailer doesn't show the best part, at least to us. Kishi did a good job on hiding the real deal.

Funny thought. I just someone in here has that avatar of Korra shocking face, which btw is hilarious. That said I can imagine that as Naruto's reaction when Kushina teases him about his love for Sakura. Really wish I can see it.

^ That's probably why I wasn't too upset about 540- it would've just been anti-climatic if it was revealed then and there (although if it were Naruto shown I would have squeed, did a happy dance and backflips )
