Alright, but Naruto only chased after her because of his rivalry with Sasuke. He was just using her as well. They were both using each other for their own selfish goals. So in essence, they're both trash. 

 

Now I don't personally believe that, but that's what the canon is according to The Last.

 

As for her behaviour during the Kaguya fight, I interpret that as her being insecure around Sasuke. This ties into what has already been established. When she's with Naruto, she's outgoing and can act like herself. When she's with Sasuke, she becomes introverted and insecure. 

 

Then there the fact that she still hadn't resolved her complicated feelings towards Sasuke, which would explain why she was acting the way she did. 

 

 

No. Naruto "deserves" Sakura because he's the main character and because the theme of the manga is that you can achieve anything through hard work and dedication and also because the story showed us that they were growing closer and that Sakura was starting to reciprocate his feelings. That's it. It has absolutely nothing to do with Naruto being a "nice guy" or HInata being a "nice girl".

But about The Last - it's a tricky site, after Sasuke left, he was no where to be found for 2 years, and that's the time when Sakura was alone and still had Naruto aroud, one could justify that Naruto stayed away, because he saw what she asked for before Sasuke leave village, and that's bad.

I didn't argue that The Last couldn't hold greater production and promotion value because it obviously has. What I'm challenging is the idea that its expenditures would tally up so high as to outpace RtN by some outrageous amount above maybe 200% of the predecessor's value.
 

How much did it earn during the first week compared to RtN? I believe it was 156%. You're probably right about the low-level domestic return which Pierrot didn't account for, but they still have 7 other countries to premiere their film in.

If my guesstimate holds up, The Last could potentially earn upwards to ¥2.66 billion at the box office (international and domestic profits are factored in). Is that successful enough for you?
 

No, I'm asking if you believe that a $10 million increase from RtN's box office earnings is enough to compensate for the greater production and promotion value of The Last.

I think it was already clear enough that 2ch isn't an official source for the movie's budgets. And I believe the others already understood that and took it as a place to read opinions of Japanese fans. Did you think otherwise?

They did earn 156% more in their first day than RTN's first day. And they will show in other countries. So what? That doesn't prove THE LAST had a higher profitability rate than RTN.

One of the famous kittentiest movie Lupin the Third in Japan earned ¥2.4bill in Japan only with the first week earnings being the same as the THE LAST. So, no I don't think them earning ¥2.6bill proves their success.

I'm a Bucs fan, so the likelyhood is that I won't be sniffing the playoffs for another 5 years or so, at least you're lucky in that regard :/

That's why chapter 699, 700 and The Last sucks. They totally butcher Naruto and Sakura's character, all for the sake of making NH and SS look more credible. That's why I don't see the point in making a distinction between Naruto's character assasination and Sakura's character assasination.

Naruto never did agree to it all being about one upping Sasuke, but he doesn't say no so I'm inclined to believe it to be true. At least in the context of the Last.

No, but I have noticed that the crux of our arguments regarding Japan's sentiments regarding the film and its characters stem from that website alone.

Tell me, when is it RtN began to shift towards the international markets for profit? From the comments given by some of the members here, it took quite a while for it to premiere. The piracy handlers had already gotten acquired and posted the film for everyone to watch free of charge.

Why go through the hassle of purchasing tickets and traveling to a theatre when you can enjoy the film through a speedy search on Google in the comfort of your own home? The Last is being marketed and premiered before the pirated versions can be uploaded onto the website. It's an effective strategy on Pierrot's part, appealing to the desirous fans who want to see it as soon as they can.

It's terrible in whose eyes? The fans. Pierrot has already snubbed the established logic of the manga with a film that has caused many fans to reevaluate the meaning of the story and its cast of characters. For the studio, as long as profit can be earned, it's a success to them.

Lol, you can't use 2 years in future argument for 699, and no, Naruto just did what he did times before, he stepped down for Sasuke (remember Tsunade's apperence and how Sakura jumped on healed Sasuke?), he did it already and that's sad, because I didn't think that is in character for part 1 (ending) or even part 2 of Sakura to do what she did. But what if he did confessed, just what would Naruto hear? There is literally nothing good, and it sends flying f**cks to him as good guy, and same message. So, in your opinion what would she say?

He definitely should have tried confessing to Sakura, but they didn't want to make Hinata look like the rebound girl if they had Sakura reject Naruto. This is why I don't really like NH because it's going to make someone look bad in the end, and that's exactly what happened. Kishi and SP handled it about as poorly as they possibly could.
