The standard price for a movie ticket here in Denmark varies depending on the date and the time of day but it typically lies between 70 and 90 DKK which is about 11 to 14 USD.
Unless it's The Hobbit of course. Then the standard price is 110 DKK which 17 USD. I watched the 48 fps 3D version, which was around 140 DKK or 22 USD.
Denmark is expensive.

Those first two major cities you referenced are presumably going to have a sales cost of $15 per ticket. Fifty to two-hundred-fifty seats with four showings a day throughout an entire week totals 1400-7000 customers. The revenue earned from those people will come out to about $21,000-105,000 or ¥2.46-12.33 million. You would have to specify an exact estimate for the amount of times these other 18 theatres intend to play the film in a single day before any profit projections could be made.
Well in total, it's 107 screenings. That's all the dates and times combined
After everything(20% for movie theaters) they lowest they can earn is about $64,200 and the highest $385,200(that's with the 300 seat scenario)

Say Hello to Papa Ciccio for me and tell him he should think more to me than punching the moms.
new generations? Dunno.I don't frequent the new generations or whatever LOL
I was basing just on the italian world web (forums, twitter, facebook, websites, etc..), Naruto seems to be very popular here (thanks also to mediaset who airs it), perhaps even more than One Piece (like in the US :|, si vede che siamo alleati eh?). Among my friends, they only knows One Piece, Naruto and HunterXHunter, talking about the new manga of this generation.
Anyway I grew up with cartonons of Super3 and "La posta di Sonia". Besides the same old animes like Holly&Benji, DB, Cavalieri dello Zodiaco (Saint Seiya), Yuyu Hakusho, and especially Slam Dunk. Forgive me if Sailor Moon was popular only among girls
OMFG!!!! SONIA!!! BIRILLO!!!! The boooring mecha '70s they aired! The terrible Galaxy Express 999 with Oliver Onions' opening! Ransie! Bia! MY CHILDHOOD!!!!! I still remember the lyrics of the openings
(quanto volevo andare all'angolo delle chiacchere...
)
Mediaset is why Naruto is big with the newer generations tough!
(I hated Holly&Benji
but love Yu Yu and I'm a big big big fan of Saint Seiya
) Seriously, ask a woman our age (or a few years older) about Sailor Moon and mostly we still get starry eyed about it. (You boys and your 'this is a girl's cartoon I ain't gonna watch it'
)
Did I just read Saint Seiya?
Oh...
YOU DID.
I loved it! (Still Seiya is the most boring character of the whole series
)

Maybe it's wrong, but I remember I read this here on this forum.

So 6.4-38.5% of 1 million USD is the projected range, and this isn't factoring the likely event of a continuance in some theatres and possible merchandise sales.

Well, one not terrible thing about the screening being held in other theaters means a new wave of hate and negativity for the movie.

I doubt the reception in the states will be as lukewarm as it was in Japan. Most of the fans who are going to the premiere should be aware on what the film is about. Anyone who is going to watch it has already made their peace with the subject matter, and have decided that they enjoy it. So we should expect mostly positive feedback in the weeks to come.

I loved really Sonia
She was actually my first tv crush
*feels shameful*. I still remember when I told to my mom to leave me alone in my room during the dinner time because I wanted to stay there to watch super3. And my mom...that woman ended up to hate my beloved Sonia ![]()
How I could miss cartoons like Jeeg Robot d'acciaio, Yattaman, Nino il mio amico Ninja (Ninja hattori-kun), Ken il guerriero, Magico dan Super campione, Cara dolce Kyoko, Doraemon, Sanpei, Fantazoo, etc..
I feel old to mention only these cartoons.
What a sad nostalgia ![]()
Holly&Benji hadn't a great plot and each match lasted hours of episodes
but its character were actually great.
Saint Seiya... I hated Seiya too.. What a such crybaby
I loved Shaka ("per il sacro virgo")
I feel old to mention only these cartoons.
