Yeah, I guess I don't know much about Cho/Ino. I didn't start reading the manga till Part II, and unless the anime distorted something, I don't recall anything that reinforces Chouji having feelings for Ino. Then again, I stink at noticing subtle hints, so maybe there was something hidden somewhere. *shrug* I guess there were a few Cho/Ino moments in Part II, like Chouji reassuring Ino while they were looking for Hidan and Kakuzu, and Ino entering Chouji's mind during their fight with zombie Asuma, but I don't remember anything too substantial.

I think it might happen, if Shika/Tema does, but I feel like it has more to stand on as being 'convenient' to Shika/Tema. And if I shipped for that reason, then I might as well side-ship Naru/Hina and Sasu/Saku, LOL.

As far as my personal preference, I guess I like Shika/Ino a little more, but that's more me just liking Shikamaru and Ino more than Chouji and Temari respectively (Temari's cool, but she seems to rival Hinata in lack of panel-time in Part II). Of course, I enjoy the 'double-date' factor too, since I feel like Naruto's closer to Shikamaru than Chouji, and of course Sakura has a closer relationship with Ino than Temari.

In the end though, when it comes to supporting characters ships, I really don't care that much about canonicity, so it's not like I'd be bothered by any direction Kishi goes with the Team 10 pairings.

There is one ShikaIno moment which is in a filler where Shika is talking about Ino and Chouji always knowing what he is going to do, as if they were his family, then again thats not much as a moment as more of a friendly sign, and its filler so its nothing much ( right NH fans? )

Well that didn't mean that he wouldn't get married they just won't show him going on dates or being romantic or anything. Kishimoto said specifically IF Shikamaru married it would probably a wife who is the "AUTHORITY" in the house in a manner of speaking

YUP fillers equals coming from ANY side so we can enjoy them but not use them for pairing evidence

To Fliss: You never know dear. He might change his mind Shikamaru's romance is one of the minor details so he could do whatever he wants with it so let's just keep both possibilities open

I kind of disagree. To me, when an author says they are planning no romantic development for a character, it means that certain character is most likely NOT going to be in any pairing relationship whatsoever.

Why must ChoujiXIno happen if ShikaTema happen? Anyway I personally support ShikaIno. Apparently the anime team supports them too with shippuden ending 7 featured Asuma, Naruto, Shikamaru and Kurenai, Sakura, Ino. Hey that means they support NaruSaku! Ok maybe that ending didn't mean anything.

Well if Kishi said ShikaTema won't happen, if that's what he meant by no romance, then there won't be any other romance other than NaruSaku.

The primary indicators come in an early part of part 1 when Ino makes a comment about choji losing weight. It follows with Shikamaru telling choji to jsut keep being himself. It also soon follows Shikamaru remembering his conversation with his father about Stong women.

the long and short of it is that it does lay potential foundations and hints for Choji having at leats a crush on Ino, and the potential framework for ino to change in that regard.

See that happy blush on Chouji's face, and it's about Ino visiting him... There's also the point that when the rescue Sasuke team in part 1 returns, interestingly enough Sakura goes to Naruto first and Ino to Chouji....

There's been bits in part 2 as well (probably the easiest to pick up on is Chouji comforting Ino after the vote for Sasuke's death, and then in 533 where Ino is the most helpful to Chouji and does so through both strength and kindness- remember Shikaku's words about strong women and the men they love... It parallels some of Sakura's moments of being strong and kind in her words to Naruto when he was in doubts about his ability to suceed... you know- what leads Sai and Yamato pick up on about Sakura's romantic feelings almost immediately after meeting her...

Oh and as for the animators they've actually done some pretty obvious ChoxIno and ShikaxTem filler moments in Shippuden. (also some KibaxHinata and even a pretty obvious NeijixTen moment) They play around with various ships but I haven't really seen them do any ShikaxIno filler moments either in part 1 or Shippuden, nor has there been any evidence that either Ino or Shikamaru have any romantic interest in the other in the manga, quite the opposite, while they are friends and Team 10 is quite tight in their friendship, Ino and Shikamaru have both overtly expressed annoyance, even in part 2, of each others personalities. While Ino is quite kind and supportive to Chouji in part 2. She's even modified her attitude about his build- understanding now that his size is necessary for his family's abilities.

I took Kishimoto's words not as outright saying Shikamaru wouldn't have a romance with anyone, but Kishimoto wasn't going to do very much on panel. Shikamaru's other purpose to the story was what was important.

I dont know if it was a hint or not,But i think ino supporting chouji in fight that's all , but yes if ino was the only women in chouji they will likely end up together

You're forgetting that Sai's first impression of Ino was ugly, remember when they were eating he was about to call her ugly but then he thought at how scary girls get when you tell them the truth (according to him) so he thought in saying the opposite that's why he called her pretty. Sorry if I'm disrupting the thread but I just thought of dropping a new amv here.

This is my first MinaKushi AMV. I saw a new anime series yesterday and was struck with inspiration and the result was this AMV. I can honestly say that this is probably the best MinaKushi video out there
