For an explanation why. The story should have it's end in the manga, not left for a movie. And if you translate the words in the extended trailer, it refers to the movie as filling in the "blank" or "gap" period. So perhaps we actually will get an epilogue that takes place in the manga AFTER the events of the Last.

It's been confirmed a long time age that we'll get an epilogue attached with the last chapter.

If Kishi does reveal NS endgame in the manga next week, the NH fans would want an answer why. As a NS fan I'd definitely want to see the most brilliant and mind-twisting reason why he built up the relationship between Naruto and Sakura over more than a decade, had so many romantic notions between them, and then threw away that profound and deep relationship to have Sakura be the same girl crushing on the dude she thinks is hot (just physically stronger) she was at the start, and Naruto give up on Sakura when he never has before and clearly still loves her to this point in the manga. I'd definitely want to see that, even if by some horrible twist of fate NH is revealed canon next week. I'd still watch the movie just to find out why. 

Unless we end up with an open ending.

Thanks for this. This lessens that NH craziness IMO. 

 

Two years and still nothing for NH. She is going to stop but before that she wants to take care of that situation that happened with Naruto long ago.

Agreed. I can see the relationship between Hinata and Naruto ending friendly between them, with Hinata thanking Naruto for inspiring to become strong by allowing her to adopt his ninja way and becoming the head of the Hyuuga, who will, inspired by the death of Neji and Naruto, change the clan's traditions of branch family and head family. In doing so, Naruto would fulfill his "promise" to Neji. Hinata then comments on the torn scarf, noting that it just wasn't meant to be, and while obviously sad, smiling and encouraging Naruto to not give up on HIS first love. Naruto smiles apologetically and runs off to Sakura, where we see them have the last moment in the movie, with Naruto saying something along the lines of I love you, Sakura calling him an idiot and hitting him, but then lifting up his face and saying "my idiot".

Because Naruto must reciprocate her feelings in the first five minutes of the movie for NH to be canon.
 
She's scare to confront him? About what? The fact that he upset her when she was a kid and now she wants to throw a tantrum about it, or because she fell in love with him?

I'm not panicking per se, I am still hopeful of the manga. But people on this thread are comforting themselves with anything but facts. Which is making me feel worse.

That's what I mean though. All the big stuff should be answered in the manga, not in a movie. The movie should be a described, just filling in the time between with a little more detail and some HinataxNaruto closure for the NH fans, reasons why it didn't happen, and resolution.

I don't really like that this movie focuses so much on Hinata's feelings. It isn't even that I find her uninteresting, I just don't think it should be a big deal. Hinata hasn't gotten over Naruto even after the war and now her moving on is getting special attention, but the love plot of team 7 should be much more relevant.

I know it's PIS, but It's staring to make me dislike Naruto... The guy who can't confess, and who lead on other girls... For 2 years. Added to the crappy new design...

Everything I've said so far is based on facts or analysing facts. I was one of the few people trying to calm other people down in 615, 469, and 693 because people thought narusaku was dead.

I think the movie is going to be about Hinata finally being able to have her feelings heard and addressed by Naruto himself, which is what it probably means by "secret". It could either be exactly what they are advertising, a NH ***pull appeasement fest, or a way to send off Hinata and have her feelings addressed to give that character and her fans some answers and closure.

I'm always interested when I watch the trailers. All of those lines, with the exception of when Hinata tells someone "I won't let you destroy this world" are shown with visuals that don't have the characters actually saying them. some very clever editing.

The way Naruto never answered her confession was cringy as hell, but it's too late to make up for that. Naruto already looks like an uncaring douche. (for the sake of not crushing the NH fanbase too early , but still...)

There's a possibility that flashback might be linked to Naruto having a change of heart, but that completely contradicts everything the manga has shown us. There are many, many reasons to believe Naruto would not so easily fall for Hinata when his feelings for Sakura has persisted this long and that even after a 2-year timeskip, after her confession, Naruto still has not shown feelings for her.  Kishimoto has also been working on this movie since two years ago and we've gotten so many NS moments instead of NH moments since then. 631 and 662-663 being the biggest example.

 

Authors do change their mind. I know that and this movie may be for NH becoming canon. But I'm not going to truly believe that when we so many supporting of the evidence of the opposite. I'm not going to base all my conclusions on a trailer that might've been corrupted and edited by bias SP and is simply a marketing tool. It's important to keep an open mind, but we can't be sure of anything until we see it ourselves.

 

As for the pairing drama, I know it's only natural before an end pair is canon. But Kishimoto has a tendency to utilize it too much that it genuinely effects believability and character image. 693, for example. Sakura confesses to Sasuke again, repeating history and regressing her development, to just make things look bleak. Then it's revealed it was platonic based on Kakashi's analysis, but doesn't really look that way and still dampened her character. Kishi took drama too far. If he could do that with Sakura despite her development than Naruto, then I absolutely no reason why he wouldn't toy with Hinata/NH too.

 

I know you don't particularly believe this all for shipping drama, but that doesn't mean more positive conclusions are out of equation either. All you're doing is focusing on the negative outcomes. You just seem awfully negative. :/  Now I'm not saying I'm right or anything, I consider how bad things seem, but I focus on the positive outcomes more because it makes no logical sense to the manga for Kishi to do something like this. And I hold on to what's logical and will believe in that until I have solid proof Kishimoto will do the opposite. NS has been built up this whole time. I'm certainly not going to ignore that based on a movie trailer/advertisements alone.

The manga can have an open ending, or perhaps a vague one. But yes, a lot of people like me are hoping it won't be.

Nowhere does it say her feelings went nowhere for two years. How did you come to that conclusion? She's just in still in Naruto's shadow. It's no different from the rest of her life.

What worries me is that Naruto and Sakura aren't together after Naruto saved Sasuke.
