The problem is that they are showing it before the piracy hits the market. Like right now, we have none. No direct HD movie. We got none. We only got clips in a bad angle. So if you really want to see the movie, then buy the ticket. That's what I would have done if I was a hardcore fan that really wants to see it.

Well it just goes to show that Pierrot has analysed their potential markets very well. I'm beginning to think this film will indeed surpass RtN by an additional 1 billion Yen minimum.

The bearer of bad news has returned to the movie forum, and according to him, tickets are close to being sold out at the US premiere. Satisfied?

Man. I wish they would never bring it to international shores. But they -know- NH central is in the U.S. :ermm: (Among other countries, I'm sure) They obviously don't care about their homebase fandom. Which is terribly sad.

The other sad part is that NH fans(the hardcore ones) are going to worship this movie non-stop, even if they know it's bad. Because it is. Really, REALLY bad. Not that they would ever admit it. Review sites will likely be swamped by NH fans praising the movie. I'll tell ya...there's going to be a very sharp contrast between the Japanese reviews and international reviews. Polar opposites.

Makes me sick just thinking about it. -_- That anyone would be happy with the ending and movie. The character and story assassinations...team 7 broken. It's been months and I'm still not over this.

Yep. Exactly. They've catered to the western fandom. So sad.

We western fans of H&E have a lot of work to do next month going in March. We need to give the film rating sites many one stars as possible. Common people, we can do this!

Here's the list of US theaters:

I only checked a few but New York and California are already booked for several days. New York for weeks in fact. And they keep adding more screenings.

If I could give it zero star ratings I would because there isn't a single thing the Last does right.

"Well into March" is not a good indication of things to come. What are the odds that The Last will garner profit that reaches into the million range in the states alone? Damn nH fanatics. Be prepared for that box office number to soar upwards into the $20 million range soon. If enough people scream and spam on the web then even the mixed to negative reception will begin to shift towards the positive range.

Considering it's only 21 theaters so far and each is only showing 2-5 showings a day. I don't think they will bring all that much in. Maybe 1 million. I'm not too sure, I'm not the greatest at math.

I feel you, but one star is our only option. I have a feeling that SP has dropped their guard and is not expecting any backlash in the west because pretty much everyone knows about The Last. Nows our chance to capitalize.

Err why should we do that?

To show SP that not everyone from the west likes the movie and plus it helps Japanase fans out. I know it's a lot of work to post multiple reviews, but why not?

As you said, the amount of premieres is apparently increasing in numbers every hour. That 2 million will bolster the overall revenue by ¥235 million - probably enough to make up the remainder of the gap existing before the ¥2 billion mark, if it hasn't already obtained that goal with Japanese audiences alone. And this is only in the states. Six other countries remain to market this film in that will inevitably give this concoction of Pierrot's even more profit.

Depends how we spam our reviews. We got to make it look as if we went and watched it.

I think it will be under it like $600k max unless all of them are sold out and many of them got more screenings or at least similar to a full week one.

I was talking about the New York one. Which starts on feb 21 and doesn't have tickets til mar 9. so yeah, like 3 weeks.

I believe what the other user is saying that it does separate the days and gap. It's not like at theaters where each days show about 9 times per day. This one separate each other and one screening per day. So it's not similar to others. That's what I think that person meant.

I'm not so petty that I would resort to the same tactics as those people. As ridiculous as it may sound, moral integrity is a personality trait that I believe we should try to uphold. It's what separates us from them.
