Exactly. Don't forget the fact Naruto stopped chasing Sakura after Pain Arc. To me, that was a sign on why things feel off from the previous work. Again, 2 databooks before the last one was clear hint that Naruto was meant to overcome and win Sakura's heart as well as DB3 was the beginning of change for Sakura. But then, it all dropped because well again, the old editor left.
 
This does beg one question. Was Kishi fighting over this for the time being and pretty much gave up (ironically Naruto didn't or at least his old character did), or was he lying? It does feel like a damage control of him to say, "I forgot about Sakura," as if to say he lost and editor told him to give up on Sakura, so this is his way of saying. Am I giving Kishi too much credit? Maybe, but it's just a mystery that we may never get an answer.

I would like to believe that more on the actual truth behind his decision will be divulged once his contract with Pierrot expires. The lack of coercive whispering in his ear will hopefully give him a greater incentive to reforge some of his lost dignity by admitting that he made a fair number of mistakes inspired by the interest of profit, popularity, and enticement by publishers and Pierrot. But in the meantime, the spin-off will be used to construct upon the devastation that was once the original manga's integrity with Pierrot's new world order. 

I do tell myself that the sequel is done by Kishi, but who to say he is the writer.

Yes, though the tweet did say it stopped after Pain Arc, so while what you said is true, I do believe the idea of NS was about to end and pretty much let a movie do the work. Fail.

Same here. Let a movie do the work, media supported NS, too many developments, hints, foreshadows, and third-party supports, and so on. Whatever they say now, it's all damage control. Even before Kage Summit Arc, it still holds a lot of merits. All in all, it's a major betrayal not just NS fans, but in general. Story betrayal at its worst.

Just rereading a few good old ones, like Rave Master, to wash out the bad Naruto taste in mouth. I dropped several manga, like FT for Naruto, so I wanna catch up on all that, before starting a new series.

If he follow narrative than it gonna be NS.
Since kishi establish the love triangle, the outcome of it is NS or open ending.

Yeah, I want the movie to do poorly too but I doubt even that will make them change anything so I really couldn't care less if it's sold out in the US.

That's odd. I was messing around with the site and it seems to the only one that is selling to sold out would be CA, NY, and I think TX. Other than that, I saw it fitting for those places to sell because it's like home of hardcore in terms of in general, especially NY.

But again, it's their target, so we all expect that to sell well in USA. I'll be surprised otherwise.

Sunahara Wataru is probably crushed from NS not being cannon. Sunohara strongly supported NaruSaku and it was how much love was put into his work

The problem is that they are showing it before the piracy hits the market. Like right now, we have none. No direct HD movie. We got none. We only got clips in a bad angle. So if you really want to see the movie, then buy the ticket. That's what I would have done if I was a hardcore fan that really wants to see it.
