Kolb tweaked something in practice and I think Vick can beat out Feely for 3rd string easily.

In other news in the division, Eli Manning is now the highest paid player in the NFL.

Really? He isn't that good... He is way over rated like Tony h***.

then i realised i could use him in the wildcat and i begged them to let me put him on the eagles. didnt matter because apparently we couldnt use the same team and i lossed a coin flip so i used dallas with phillys playboooks. i won 17-14 and got my copy of madden for free biggrin.gif

word, congratulations, we should play a game some time.

I give him credit for winning the Superbowl and leading one of the best drives in history. However, he looked VERY average without Plaxico. The 1st game the Eagles played them, they had Plax, and Jacobs tore the defense up. then after they lost him, The Eagles had no problems shutting down that offense in the Giants own house twice. Eli has something to prove, and with all that cash, he better show hes worth it.

I agree. I won't disagree about the clutch performance in the Super Bowl. He was pretty epic in that game, but his consistency issue is the problem I have.

lol So PETA and the rest of the hippies now are trying to start ish. Some lady form philly contacted some sponsors of the eagles and was surprised they really didn't talk to her much. Chase Utley (phillies all start 2nd basemen)s wife Jen said she was surprised the eagles didn't inform her organization beforehand of the move. LMAO. These people are so conceited and full of it. One thing about Philadelphia is that its a modern place but people still carry a blue collar attitude. We don't have a bunch of hippies and mavericks in our city tying to find a problem with everything. Their efforts are futiel, because we already don't care much about what other people say. They just want attention for their cause and second agendas.

Let 'em. Vick has always been a good, consistent player. I would have loved it if the panthers snagged him. But I dont think the hippies will ever let him live it down, but as long as he preforms well and does as well as he used to, Im not complaining one bit.

I don't think they should. He should always have to remember the brutality he committed. Paid he his debt or not, he should never be allowed forget why he was in the federal pen for almost two years.

Even if we ignore the obvious, could he and Smith get along without killing each other? That and I don't think he fits Fox's system very well. Besides, if I were Richardson, I wouldn't want him anywhere near the Team because of the PR nightmare and the memories of Rae Carruth (who tried to have his ex and her unborn child executed) it'll revive.

Yes, we need someone less turnover prone than Jake, but I don't care how good he is. It's not worth it.

To me the interesting thing about Vick to the Eagles is that if any head coach in football believes in second chances, it's Andy Reid. He doesn't need to look any further than his own sons for proof.

I don't think Philly (or any other team, for that matter) would have signed him and let him compete for a starting job. Even before his jail time, he wasn't the best at going through his progressions and 2 years away only hurts. For this year, he's good in the role everyone thinks he'll be in - Wildcat Specialist and maybe a #2 QB (I'd have him take up space as a WR on the roster myself). Keep in mind he's signed to a 1-year deal. If it works out and the Philly fans can accept him, great. They resign him. If it doesn't work out, they have no long-term obligation to him.

Yeah, it would have been nice if the panthers could have snagged him. But, all well.

And speaking of the panthers, I'm getting ready to watch there pre-season opener. GO PANTHER'S!!!

I'm going to laugh so hard when Bret tears his ACL during the first game. That way he'll have to stay retired.

Oh, I do look forward to the game in Green Bay this October. I guarantee you that they're going to give a bonus to whomever sacks Favre the most on the Green Bay defense.

Being from Green Bay kind of makes the Favre drama a bit annoying. The guy said he was going to retire, goes to the Jets, has an okay season, then he leaves, supposedly retiring, then goes to the Vikings? Well, since I'm a Packer fan, I'm not thrilled about this, but I do look forward to seeing the Packers' defense in action during that game...yeah, I'm horrible, but I want to see Brett get laid-out. Especially since I like the Bears more than the Vikings. Favre joining them just makes me want to see the Packers succeed even more now.

Favre...I don't know what to say about him anymore. dry.gif

Favre is most likely going to start on friday againt my team the Chiefs. God help us! We'll be lucky if he doesn't drop 30 points on our defense. Looks like it's going to be long year in Kansas City again. I'll try to keep warm because it's cold down in the basement in the AFC West.
