Really? you didn't like season 3? Ah, well. I'm sure they'll do a good job this time round, too, and maybe better since they can learn from mistakes made on the first show.
There was a lot of things I liked about Season 3, but overall the originally very tight storytelling grew inconsistent, the originally well paced story felt rushed in spots, and I think it suffered because Mako (Iroh's voice actor) had passed away, and his replacement had to learn the role better before the producers felt comfortable trusting him enough to write the character back into the story, leaving much of the season without one of the best characters. Then there was the unaired episode (I forget which one) which was replaced with the hastily-written and poorly done "Ember Island Players" (which really got my goat, because I was a big Kataang fan, and Katara seemed so out-of-character there. I kind of feel EIP hurt the story ending, too, because of that moment contrasted with the relationship in the finale) instead of an apparently very interesting one where Zuko learned lightning-bending.
The season didn't suck -- it's just the series was sliding a little downhill, and had it continued I wasn't sure it wouldn't have fallen apart.
You haven't experienced the full cofusion of modern gender relations until you've heard an angry group of women yelling, "We want tentacles!" at an all-night Hentai-fest.
