I hope they give avatar more realism like blood but knowing how american tv labels some anime (Naruto, One Piece, DBZ) for little kids.

I highly doubt it Efra if the show will be in Nick there will be no blood a big example of this it's Naruto shippuden on Disney XD. If you have seen the series then you know what I'm talking about. dry.gif

But anyway I am happy to know that they will make another series I really missed Avatar and I am currently feagerly waiting for the movie to hit theaters on July 2nd. smile.gif

Really? you didn't like season 3? Ah, well. I'm sure they'll do a good job this time round, too, and maybe better since they can learn from mistakes made on the first show.

There was a lot of things I liked about Season 3, but overall the originally very tight storytelling grew inconsistent, the originally well paced story felt rushed in spots, and I think it suffered because Mako (Iroh's voice actor) had passed away, and his replacement had to learn the role better before the producers felt comfortable trusting him enough to write the character back into the story, leaving much of the season without one of the best characters. Then there was the unaired episode (I forget which one) which was replaced with the hastily-written and poorly done "Ember Island Players" (which really got my goat, because I was a big Kataang fan, and Katara seemed so out-of-character there. I kind of feel EIP hurt the story ending, too, because of that moment contrasted with the relationship in the finale) instead of an apparently very interesting one where Zuko learned lightning-bending.

The season didn't suck -- it's just the series was sliding a little downhill, and had it continued I wasn't sure it wouldn't have fallen apart.

You haven't experienced the full cofusion of modern gender relations until you've heard an angry group of women yelling, "We want tentacles!" at an all-night Hentai-fest.

Well, given it WAS a show with a target audience for kids that watched nickelodeon, of course there would be no blood. Still, it was a very well-written show that it attracted beyond its intended audience.... Also, Avatar was a Western made cartoon, not a Japanese anime. XD

I know that but some people say it's an anime when clearly it's not.

For the most part, it's been influenced by Eastern philosophy and ideas, which, I think, was partially the reason why they went with a Japanimation-esque look.
Hrm, I don't really think a spin-off to a different Avatar's the great way to go. They had a good cliffhanger with Zuko asking Ozai where Ursa was, and I think they could've shown the difficulties of trying to get the whole of Fire Nation to agree to peace.... That's just my idea for a Book 4....

I didn't like season three mainly because it ended. Other then that, it was wonderful and insightful. I hope we get to see Aang's past as an adult, though! That'd be fun for everyone.

Wow I'm surprised by a lot of the dislike on season 3, that was my absolute favorite of the series. I thought through out the entire series every episode just got better and better until the final four episodes which I thought were perfect.

Quote for the win.

The season finale for Avatar left me literally breathless and speechless. It was hands-down the best series finale I have ever seen to any anime/cartoon/series/show, and I have been watching all manner of series finale since I was a wee lil kid tongue.gif

but Book 4 essentially means that Aang still has more to learn. The show is more-or-less wrapped up. The protagonist fulfilled his goals, got the priiize, stopped a sadist king from total world genocide and became the Avatar that everyone expected him to be. The Ursa-cliffy was lame. I don't understand the blatant need for a security net for later projects. I know they won't finish the Zuko's Mommy Issues arc, so why bother with the tease. You friggin trolls, Brykeeeee

...although now that i think about it seeing Toph and Jun kick back in a bar, followed by a barfight, followed by seeing Toph's kids and the lucky bastard who she chose to help carry along the Bei Fong name would be delicious. And Sokka being all manly. OMG SOKKA X TOPH DO I SHIP IT?! LOOOL

Yeah, but despite stopping Ozai from his world domination, there will still be pockets of resistance especially coming from a nation whose sole goal (as defined by Ozai and whoever was king before him, Azulon? I don't remember), for a century was world domination. It'd really be more of a spin-off dealing with the troubles of steering a war machine back to peace. Then, they would get more money for producing more shows and eventually milking the franchise. th_twitchsmile.gif

I can see what your saying because that occurred with the Star Wars EU for dozens of stories. But I have to add though with Zuko being the new Fire Lord, he would be entitled to have rule over those pockets of resistance, so they can be marked as traitors. Plus a lot of the main influential leaders that worked under the old fire lord died.

That plus the fact Aang didn't just defeat Ozai, he severed his bending. Now I don't know about you but someone as powerful as Ozai was reduced impotent by a 13 y/o kid, if that's not a shot to moral, I don't know what is.
