I wouldn't say "sunk", but it certainly negates whatever development NS had beforehand, as well as reduces Naruto to a silver medal. So let's hope it isn't the MS translation.

Depend on whether or not naruto confession will happen or not.
If no naruto confession, that mean status quo win aka open ending.

Wuh-oh. The one I read was past. But if it happens to be present... Then it seems to me Kishi doesn't care or like Sakura's character much. I mean okay... If she loves him still, then why doesn't Sasuke like her back? It's like Kishi absolutely loves onesided pairings that go on forever. What does that make Sakura? Sakura's just gonna be thrown in the trash basically.

 

I sure hope Kishi doesn't kitten Sakura's character up. Otherwise everything he did to put an emphasis on Sakura's changing feelings was pointless. I'd rather Sasuke have feelings for Sakura back, then for Sakura's whole entire being to be tossed away like that.

 

I can't believe I said that, but I'm serious.

We need the raws, but the MS translation just seems to be wrong imo. It doesn't fit to the plot at all.

This chapter was cringe.  So....Sakura has loved Sasuke up until now. What can I say, other than I'm not surprised and that it'll only end up hurting NS. And @luffyq1, those panels you posted are EXACTLY what I recalled while I was reading this chapter. She's regressing. Post a picture with Part 1 Sakura and place it next to this chapter. No difference. I already knew Sakura (and Kakashi) would be a nonfactor in this fight, but what Kishi is doing to Sakura's character has got to stop. This whole thing sucks.

Kishimoto's refusal to move on from SS has completely ruined this romance subplot. I don't care that Sakura wants Sasuke back but she should not be crying and begging. Make no mistake about it, NS will still happen. However, This just gives more ammo to Sakura haters and I seriously can't believe that Kishi is willing to degrade my favorite character so much for more $$$$$. kitten you Kishimoto, kitten you.

I have a feeling we'll get an NS moment soon tho. I just can't shake it off. But today's chapter... it was just mind boggling.    Gosh imagine when if one of the main pairings became canon one of these days. This site will blow up, tumblr will blow up, youtube will blow up, rage everywhere...
