Precisely why I'm not worried. I'm just tired of seeing her hog the panels. That's really my main issue, but you're definitely right. It's a little different this time given we've gotten her way more than Sakura this arc, but hopefully that changes REALLY soon. Like, next month soon. I even hope we get a glimpse at what she's thinking about regarding what just happened. I hope she heard that little speech as well. I want her reaction.

Same here. That's what frustrates me the most. Kishimoto said that all of our favorite characters would get some highlights, but so far it's just been Hinata with a little bit of Neji. The catering is making my stomach turn. I understand that Hinata is in dire need of development, because her character sucks that much, but what about all of the other side characters that haven't had development? Like TenTen or Shino? At least Kishimoto wouldn't have to sacrifice the development of his main characters to give them development.

Seriously, that's what bothers me so much about this arc. It's not even about the pairings. It's about Kishimoto having to stomp on his more prominent characters to give development to a girl that has nothing to do with the plot of the story. For Neji to die saving Naruto and Hinata, Kishimoto had to make Naruto freeze up like an idiot on the battlefield. To make Hinata look like she's important to the story, he had to stick Sakura in the background and let Hinata shine as a heroine. For Hinata to give her speech, Naruto had to throw his ninja way out the door, forget everything he learned during the Pein battle, and reach out to Obito. Then there's Kakashi, the character that should have the most importance in this arc - given his ties to Obito - and the only thing he has to say about the whole situation is, "Obito...."

You're probably right about that; I was wondering why we don't see Naruto's hand up in the next page. Plus, the hand on page 8 looks like a girl's hand, so yeah, it's Hinata's.

The hell ?!! It's Naruto's hand reaching for Obito's hand for crying out loud. This guy is misleading you, he's here to have some rejoice to his pairing SS.

The Hinata focus does bother me a lot. I feel Neji's death was a excellent opportunity for the rest of his team to get some spotlight, but even then, Hinata sucks it all up.

But, one thing is for sure, I could actually imagine Ten Ten or anyone slapping Naruto that way and giving him a pep talk.... I can even imagine anyone doing the hand holding. I realize now that the interaction doesn't feel very exclusive. But I suppose you could say that about a lot of things.

Yes, it looks pretty feminine to me, too. I think it's drawn to be misleading so the reader will at first wonder if Naruto is really going to flip to Obito's side. Fooled me at the first reading.

Kirabook, I'm seriously hoping to see team Gai to react to Neji's death better than in the backgroud.

What annoys me is this chapter just prove that kishimoto is bad writing seriously.
The death of Neiji seemed all functionalist, the guy had not even closed my eyes and everyone already took him as dead.
When hinata was going to die naruto almost went supersayan, with screams, fuss.
For each character that dies we got two editions of flashbacks, for a character underdeveloped like neji we got nothing.

Excellent points, especially about Kakashi. It really puts everything into perspective and generally lends support to the fact that NH will not be made canon. Hinata's involvement is irrelevant. She could be killed off, and nothing in the entire plot would change. (Sure, Naruto could sway from his purpose for a moment or two, but eventually he'd get back on track.) The same cannot be said of the others. (Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi.) You're so right - it was a lot of ooc plot acrobatics on all sides to make Hinata come out on top.

Anyone think that the next chapter is going to switch to Sasuke for a while? Just to torment us longer?

Exacta! That's what killed it for me. Firstly he had to kill Neji to draw them closer. That death was so damn stupid btw. Secondly, he had Naruto freakin' swaying yet again! Two fails back to back just so Hinata can look all glorious and kitten. I mean, really Kishi? He didn't have to do this BS with Sakura and Naruto because he didn't force it but oh man he's forcing it here. Can't wait till her period is over because this is just getting plan ridiculous. What's next? She learns a new uber fantastic move? She's gonna gain a new transformation?

And don't even get me started on Kakashi, though I think he's gonna make his appearance soon as well. Like I said before, it's not even about the rookies really. Hinata keeps coming up overrrr and overrrr again. Push her to the wayside for a bit...

Oh my, I just went to Youtube and all I can say is CHAOS. Chaos everywhere. Has everyone gone mad?

"OH MAH GOD NH IS CANOUUUNNN!!!" ---> No, just no. Not yet, at least.

And honestly, I don't think that's going to happen. C'mon, all that NS development, all those friggin' parallels (to the point they got ridiculous), Sai's little speech, all those little hints literally EVERYWHERE going to waste? I don't think so.

And I'm not saying this because I'm partial to NaruSaku. I have nothing against Hinata (aside from the "Naruto-kun" nonsense) and honestly, I do prefer couples where the shy, dark girl wins the hero's love. But this is Naruto we are talking about. The same kid who vowed he'd get everyone's praise by becoming Hokage, the same kid who promised to get his long lost friend back from darkness, the same little (adorable) idiot who loves this same girl since chapter 3.

Yeah, I admit, in real life we can't always get what we want. But, IMHO, it'd be a failure to someone with Naruto's temperament (read "headstrong as hell") to not get the girl of his dreams, in the end.

So that's what I'm waiting for. THE END. And I'll only acknowledge defeat at the very end.

I hope not. I can honestly say kitten Sasuke at this point in time. LOL Not to be disrespectful to his fans but this crap here needs to be resolved. End it with a NS cliffhanger and I'll be content.

I'm actually picturing some things right now with Sakura. Her reactions, and all that jazz, and I honestly think right now, things are clicking in her head. I hope she fights for the man who's always been there.

WHy the fight already had lots of interruptions, i just want all this mess to be resolved, kishimoto already know the kitten he did with the plot, and he cant avoid comentaries about Hinata being a main character, i'm even on a website which is free of shippers and everyone is complaining about the plot.
And 'im kind of agreeing with them, my will to continue reading Naruto is decreasing since Madara's ressurrection, and those asspulls where Naruto suddenly becames a kid.

Just like the guys who last week we had a discussion about pairings, most of them said that NS was more coherent, the others said that Naruto would die at the end of the story.

Edo tensei(Controlling more than 100 guys at the same time)i, Izanagi, Army of Zombie, Orochimaru's ressurrection, Sasuke's will to pursue revenge, Obito's realization, Hinata's forced development, Neji meaningless death, Madara, Edo-tensei Madara, UchihaZord, Suzano Ultimate Trasformantion Shaman King.

LMAO. That sounds pretty legit given all of this fan crap we've been receiving here. Don't you just love how Hinata gets to hold his hands and fight by his side, and she even describes how warm he is.

A more fitting scenario would be...

Sakura punching the daylights out of Hinata sending her flying and screaming "Shannaro! Naruto is mine!!!!"
