Uh I'm not sure of it being a hit in the US
But I am sure people from the US will eat what ever the movie throws at them, so "As for other opinions, people ae mainly hoping this would all change once the movie is released in america. They are actually relying on the reviews in america to hopefully change pierrot studios mind on naruto the last and just make it towards where this was all a bad dreama horrible dream to be exact." is not going to happen

The question people have to ask themselves is this. How many people are going to go to the theater and put money down to watch it... and how many people are going to pirate it watching it from their computer?
And how many like us are just going to sit home?

No need for this kitten here.

You think 15 million is a big office draw? A million per year the set up was written? That doesn't sound like much of a success. I'm sure they expected to do better then that with the supposed final "Naruto" movie.
Batle of the Gods has made 50 million... and its from a series that ended in 1995.
That's an increase of ¥380 million over RtN with another ¥140 million projected to be earned before its movie cycle in Japan ends. If enough momentum gets behind the film's subject matter with Hinata at the forefront at international theatres then it has the potential to surpass its predecessor with a whole ¥1 billion increase. You never know - it could potentially reach ¥3 billion if it receives the snowball effect. There's enough gullible complacent people in that 850,000,000 population to make that prospect a reality.
How does $25 million sound for an anime series that churns out limited budget films on a yearly basis?

That's stupid.

Please don't post that nonsense here. It's a shameful display from the NH fandom.

But what I'm talking about? That means author himself must be taught about logic and reasons.

When comparing it to it's competition?? Yeah it's sucking hind kitten when you compare it to contempory franchise that are playing for the same market. Or is your argument that SP is successful when only comparing it to itself?
DBZ Battle of the Gods: 50 million.
One Piece Film: Z; 74 Million.
Naruto The Last: 15 million.
It's obvious that they are not reaching the numbers that other franchises have reached. So yes Naruto is not that big of a franchise, and Kishimoto is far from top dog when compared to his contemporaries. I don't see how you consider this a success. Because it's better then RTN? Since when is that a measurement of success? Naruto is not playing with the big boys. Sorry.

Well the biggest problem with this line of thinking is that no one in the U.S. pays for any kind of anime. Anyone with half a brain and an internet connection knows how to find pirated anime for free online. ![]()
