the narrators comment that hints towards ns is buried under the hinata/nh advertisement. i'll never forget how ns is always the one to have the last laugh:
 
1. during the chunin exams when hinata gave naruto some medicine and naruto offered it to sakura.
 
2. when hinata gave naruto words of encouragement and later naruto rescued sakura from gaara, which led to a tender smile from sakura.
 
3. sakura being concerned about sasuke and later sakura asks naruto on a date to discuss it lol.
 
4. sakura's confession to sasuke and in the next chapter naruto makes the poal, which led to sakura realizing that naruto understood her and her opinion of him drastically changed.
 
5. hinata confessing to naruto and it ended hilariously with sakura hugging naruto in front of hinata and the entire village. kids blushing in the bg too.
 
6. lol rtn with its advertisement aimed at nh/ss. turns out it was really aimed at ns.
 
so with all of that in mind, i find it hard to believe we won't have the last laugh again! kishi is known for this trollish pattern.

I hope you are right. Back then when the world still makes sense i would have easily agree to this without an ounce of doubt. Ahhh i miss those days.

Idk why but this moment really struck me for some reason.

The part in the chuunin written exam.
Hinata invites him to cheat.
while Sakura tries to raise her hand forfeiting herself and her beloved sasuke-kun's chance to be a chunin.
just because she thought "that stupid dream of yours i dont want to see it crushed"

You guys dont know how my ss heart panicked at that time. It wasnt even romantic but its a telltale sign she deeply cares bout naruto more than what she led us on. Even if sasuke is involved.

Too bad kishi flushed everything in the toilet in 699. When Sakura didnt even respond to Naruto. Or defended him to the sauce.

That moment was a good chance to make team 7 bonds come into a full circle not just ooc sauce to sakura moment with an ignored naruto. Was it wrong of me to imagine that Sakura wouldve responded to sasuke that it is naruto who he needs to apologize more than anyone. And say a heartful thank you to naruto instead of nardo being the one to say "thanks sakurachan" but then gets ignored because if the troublesome sauce.

She doesn't have a body,If they really wanted to sexualize her they would of did a h.o.t.d or something. She has nothing going for her other than being the leader of powerful clan. I think most people would only marry her for political reasons/power.

granted theres still time for that, but youd think there would be something SS by now...after all nh/ss are in the same package, even NS had something despite being small.

This manga has been going on for 15 years. 15 x 52 weeks of Naruto (more or less). Few mangas have lasted that long, so it is hard to predict what the general fandom's expectations will be towards the end. This movie has been in production for at least two years (NaruHina might have been decided at this time alreday). SP believes that Hinata's and her Nana Mizuki's popularity will be enough for them to make this movie successful, but they have underestimated the fandom's expectations. I wanted to believe that the most important thing to Japanese people is still the consistency of the storyline, and not surprisingly it turns out it is.

Would serve them right to be honest.

If I were them I would've come up with a foolproof plan. Create 2 endings. To do this Act 1 & 2 would have to be pliable enough to fit with either of my Act 3s.

Next would be the manga. Make it as ambiguous as possible so that no matter what ending I chose, it would still fit. Next, I go with to market the pairing I think will make me the most money. I lead my audience to the conclusion I want them to believe and then I wait for the reactions and monitor merchandise sales. When I advertise I'm careful not to advertise anything definitive to the pairings so that I can change it anytime.

After I've read reactions and monitored sales I release the version of the film I think to be more popular.

Pretty much Ino, Anko (before epilogue character-ruining), most if not all of the damsels-in-distress of the movies (particularly the one that offered to ask Naruto to father her child in that one at the end), a shadow-clone jutsu of himself in female form, the girl from the Ramen shop (seriously, she's really cute), Moegi, Sasuke, Gaara, me, you, Rocku, Wallu, Kishimoto himself, and so on.

What I'm getting at here is that Hinata is the ultimate bronze medal.
