Or make so they never left the it, and what we were seeing was hinata's it. The last/700 were all apart of hinata's it.

My girlfriend in the morning was like SN should have happened over anything. I said I wouldn't mind it because the story was hard on it, but homosexual isn't allowed in that universe due to Naruto outright said it with fear of gay. Anyway, she was telling me to do a fanfic of the ending and I was like "Maybe." She will rewrite a lot of things but her main target is the name of the kids, especially Salad. Lol, she can't get over that. I'm like "No idea why that name but Kishi don't care," with her ending with "Because he's rich."

I don't at all foreseee any NS hints ever again. If anything, the shipping hints are now going to be spent on the next generation. Why? Because that's where they've got all their money tied up. All of this — the gimmicky bait-and-switch ending, the movie, the game updates, the novels, even the interviews and the stupid scarf — all of it is to drive audiences to the new series so they can keep it going. 

 

NS absolutely interferes with all of it. So that's why they had to kill it.

 

I hold no hopes for Sakura's novel. They've never done right by her. Not once. It's not going to start now. The novel will probably show her being flippant to Naruto then sweet and attentive to Sasuke, then it will have some sort of weak reciprocated affection on Sasuke's part, before the plot picks up with something element that can be carried over to the Bolt series to be resolved. 

 

I would expect these novels to build the foundation and history of a secret enemy they all must contend with, one that will develop into the Big Bad of the Bolt series. 

 

They aren't putting these out because they suddenly love Naruto and want to give fans a proper ending. They are promo items to keep the buzz going and to move audiences into the next series. 

 

I think the idea of it being character books going in depth on a single character is a ruse. It will be that person's pov as they deal with an issue that is going to take center stage in the future. With minimal interaction with the other rookies/love interests, except to filling in a few plot points. (Like one paragraph for how they fell in love and married.)

 

I don't mean to be cynical, I really don't. But you have to look at why these books are coming out now. Why didn't they just write a better ending and include this stuff? Nope. They saw another angle to make money and push the new series. So they took it.

Scratch that. I have no expctations for these novels. They will be awful. The only purpose they'll serve for me is just one more thing to be disgusted about. Oh, and kindling. If I ever found one free, on the street.

Kishi said that SN was supposed to represent his bond with his twin brother. If there's anything yaoi readers take from that relationship it's based on Kishi perhaps not showing what he wanted to in the right way. It seems he tends to do that a lot lol

I think Salad sounds better in Japanese than English since it's pronounced Sarada. If you take the literal meaning then yes, it sounds weird. Sa-ra-da though is ok I guess.

It's remarkable just how much of what we've seen from the Naruto franchise lately has been promotional. 700, what is supposed to be the triumphant conclusion to a seminal work, is nothing more than a cheap set-up for a new series. You could spin The Last the same way. And as you illustrate, the books will fill this role too.

 

I know people do crazy stuff for that paper, but it's shocking to see Kishi cast aside his story's integrity just to promote spin-offs.

I don't know if the novels are promos for the mini series, exactly. For example Sakura's novel is to release in July. By that time the series will already be underway, perhaps close to ending, as it begins in the spring.

 

Can't deny that the franchise is trying to make the most of the pairings though. The constant pairing ads and such is definitely them taking advantage of the popularity of shipping in the series.

If the pairing weren't so distasteful I would think it a somewhat cute family quirk lmao.
 

I think the best name out of the kids is Chocho, which means butterfly. It fits with Chouji's theme as well.
