No, more like Sakura's. Sakura and Minato do quite well thinking "on the fly" but it's more thought out than Naruto's way- with some preplanning if possible (like Minato's preplaced kunai used for his flying thunder god techinique) . It's like the way Sakura kept switching tactics in both her battle in the Forest of Death and with Sasori (including preplanning with the antidotes), and how she used both brains and brawn to quickly take down Zetsu. Minato used similar style tactics.

Remember in the conversation between Jiraiya and Tsunade how they talked about how Naruto's fighting style and abilities were like his mother's? We saw a bit of that in her flashbacks.

Another interesting flipped parallel is that Kushina actually was the big powerhouse of the couple. The way Minato emotionally lost it with Kushina when he was saying his desperate goodbye to her and Minato's words about believing he wasn't as good as Kushina is very similar to Sakura's reactions when Naruto went 4 tails and when she was healing him afterward, and how she feels about herself in comparison to Naruto. She has the strong will and a more moderated version of the temper of Kushina though, and tends, like Kushina and Naruto to have a big spontaneous streak- but more moderated than Kushina's and Naruto's. Naruto can get her to very quickly go along with his wild ideas, even wrong ones- even back in part 1. She's not a natural pranker like Naruto and Kushina, but by her own admission she loves pranks. I'm betting Minato took slightly more persuading, but Kushina likely roped him in fairly quickly- he looked like he enjoyed indulging Kushina on whatever she wanted to do. Sakura has a bit of that side toward Naruto at times as well- thus that smile she has just for Naruto. (even back in part 1).

from what i've seen of naruhina fans- they like to think that with the compatibility between minato and kushina, is represented again in Naruhina- only with the roles reversed. Naruto is the motor mouth kushina- and hinata is the quiet minato. In essence they disregard what kushina says, and reverses her advice. As for why they do that- i don't quite know, just because they want to for their pairing. it makes some sense if you take into account kushinas initial judgement of Minato in the beginning- she had to be proven otherwise to recognise minato as someone she could fall in love with. I guess because of that- they think kushina doesn't know whats best for her son.

its BS because once again- they ignore the fact that naruto wants, and naruto will probably listen to his mom- i mean he gave her a hug and socked minato in the stomach (rightly so) when they 1st met. he loves both of them dearly, i'd have trouble believing he'd deny his parents last requests of him.

Yeah, I've heard that argument before. Kushina = Naruto I can agree with, but Minato = Hinata? It seems to me like you really have to stretch it to make that one work. I guess they're both quiet, to some extent, but Hinata always just seems shy and nervous, while Minato is the calm, collected "genius" type character. Being quiet doesn't really define your personality, and I think this case of calm vs. shy kind of proves that. On top of that, like ciardha said, Minato's been seen to break that character mold on occasion.

To be honest, I don't really see that many Hinata/NaruHina fans trying to make valid arguments that Kushina = Hinata. It seems to me like most of them either use the Minato = Hinata argument, or they just attack any Sakura = Kushina arguments (which is predictable, as it's far easier to attack another viewpoint than defend your own ).

Though even I admit that Sakura isn't a carbon copy of Kushina or anything. After all, their bullying stories were pretty different regarding how they reacted towards the bullies. Maybe Sakura would have acted the same if she was the same age as Kushina in her story, but I can't really see Kushina crying after being picked on at any age (though maybe I'm wrong, it just seems to me like Kushina would have acted more like a young Naruto in that regard). Plus, as far as we know, Kushina was never involved in a love triangle, and it seems like Minato was the only man she ever had feelings for (unless she had a crush on Fugaku before that, LOL). This doesn't really bother me too much though, it just goes to show that Kishi at least wants to be a little original with Kushina's character.

Kushina's more likely to be a foreshadowing of NaruIno than NaruHina anyway. Why? Matching hair barettes, of course!

Oh god.... It's almost on par with sakura. They hate her BIG TIME. I was on NF(which I regret) and this is what they said. Brace yourself " Stupid kushina! MotherF*****!! You have no sense in men and girls! You are bs. Naruto loves hinata and wouldn't listen to his retarded ugly mother" You see? This is what they said..... :O I kinda want to know what manga they are reading.... and when I asked them, they then acused me of being an Internet stalker and a hater...... ;O Denial......

Yikes, that's pretty ugly. Though I think that's just a portion of their fandom, so it's not really right to base our entire opinion of the N/H fandom on a couple crazies. I don't really get into arguments too frequently, but I feel like it's just the loudest, most obnoxious, hate-filled, shipping loonies that make up 5% of the fandom that ruin our perception of the other 95%. I'm sure we got plenty of crazies on our side too. Maybe I'm wrong though, it's hard to tell with how it seems like the only part of the N/H fandom we ever hear from is that annoying portion. *shrug*

i feel the same- its kinda why at this point i give a try at the different pairings, hated or loved whenever i'm bored. i find it helps to understand the appeal of them, and usually helps clear any bad preconceptions i might have for a character or a pairing, or its entire fandom.
Anyways, we should just like what we like, there's gonna be plenty of other normal folks who like it too, not just the few crazies that make it look bad. The only thing i really dislike when it comes to fandom are the really crazy weeaboos, and some of the anti-fanclubs.

What I like is this particular lunatic poster (who by no means is representative of any fandom) completely forgot the part where Naruto says he is glad that his mom is a babe, and thinks that he is a hunk because he has similar looks. If that's the case, why push so hard for Hinata to hook up with someone who is "retarded ugly"?

Might as well, there's nothing that we can say and do that would convince them otherwise. Now, I notice that there is a manifesto thread that is stickied and I always hear great raves about it and might read that soon.

My question is that do the NH people have something like that in a manner that does not seem so farfetched? Because if they do have something like that, then I'll give them the benefit out the doubt and unleash my frustrations to those that are probably dragging their fanbase's reputation down because I'm sure whatever sane NH fans, out there, probably do not want the over-the-top people to drag wahtever reputation they have down the drain.

I reckon their next meeting will go with them being surprise to see each other, then Sakura would be mad because he's out there and putting himself in danger, then there will be Naruto reassuring stuff, and then Sakura accepting the reassurance, and we will move on from there.

The better question would be what would the interaction be like after the war? Like how would the transition from friends to lovers be very subtle so that when the epilogue comes, the transition from that point to the epilogue would be seamless.

No. Naruto and hinata will meet each other while sakura is dead. Then naruhina will be cannon (It almost is) After 469, naruto won't waste 20 seconds with her, this is how it will happen. Naruto is fighting on the battlefield, why in hell's court would he spend time with sakura rather than kicking ass??? Jeez.
