Nami will get stronger but not as strong as the trio monster or even mid tier in sh group.
The only way for her to be top tier is it turn out she's a descendant of ancient kingdom who has special power like controlling weather or she eat a devil fruit.
I think her weak state doesn't hurt her character since she has proper role.

Standby lover is as valid as love hate relationship, will they happen or not, and damsel in distress.
If you mean nh(Hinata) it happen not because of narative but because it's popular(outside factor).

Luffy will fight akainu because he's the boss of evil marine, but this time it will be more personal.
Luffy always fight the boss.

Sometimes ego can play as well. Like the mangaka did too much for one pairing but then went elsewhere because he/she said so, but if not done as strong and not as genuine, then it's only done by force, which makes it look incredibly weak. I don't like that either. It gives me no reason to care.

Back to standby lover, well that's true about Hinata, but I just don't like when there's more than one potential pairing, that one pairing just do nothing and pretty much still wins. Like why should I invest that? I don't invest something lack of development, lack of screen time, etc. I don't just support because you made it happen without developments. I want to feel rewarded. Oddly enough, it's like how they did it with Batman V Superman but not with love, something else. Build to invest, not just do it.

This chapter didn't suck. We got what I was saying would happen.The Kid/Apoo/Hawkins alliance didn't die from Kaido, they expanded their alliance to include him. We can expect Luffy to expand his alliance to include Big Mom now.

The chapter just felt kind of rushed to me, but I guess it's okay if it gets us to Sanji faster.

Smoker and Tashigi are hanging out with Vegapunk, but Oda needs to find a good gap for us to get introduced to him. Awesome that such a big character and reveal will have Tashigi there.

I liked this chapter too. It turned into when islands attack and seeing Jack be kitten slapped was glorious. He didnt even have time to transform,lol. So theres no time wasted on Jack and them fighting. Luffy and his team is ready to go and Kaido comes in at the end, so yeah, pretty good chapter. 

 

 

Oh and that color spread too :3
