What do you mean? Because during the days of Digimon the internet wasn't that big. No one really cared about the ending since it was just one episode you happened to catch on a Saturday morning. Naruto had 10+ years to gather a large fandom with it streaming via internet and TV and its ending was very much anticipated including the romantic outcomes.

It carries the weight of being a tie-in with one of the most popular manga of all time. A manga that recently completed its publication. Pierrot went through a considerable amount of effort to attract the audience with implicative labels, profiles of beloved characters, and by giving the assurances of "The Last" resolving the unanswered questions still remaining. Well the proof is in the pudding on how that panned out. Now it holds the association of being the downfall to the story of Naruto due to not meeting the expectations of those who sought answers to those said questions, and for its distorted representation of the characters.

The box office has increased to ¥1.86 billion. More 5 star reviews on Yahoo continue to push the rating back towards 2.83.

Doesn't make the movie any better *thumbs down* With the kind of antics they've played to make this movie a success is....not good I suppose. They are earning their money and probably saying "We don't give a kitten" to audiences right now....

Money and hormones are their prime motivators. They've achieved the desired effect by developing a film that's earning so much publicity and revenue that it's being dragged through the mud by both sides more than any other Naruto film before it.

 

What I would enjoy knowing are the particulars of Junko's conversation with the fans last Saturday. It's been five days since, and no one has come forward with information regarding it.

I feel the same, the money thing sucks but that's how stuff happen and even if they have more money than RTN, doesn't mean people like it...still has hate, NH is getting it the most :o I really don't care about the box office stuff,it's the reaction that matters to me, so far I feel happy we aren't alone

This usually happens when someone says something against some organisation as huge as SP! She might have said something and in a bid to save themselves....either the interview's not going viral or....it simply is taking some time XD

One man's trash is another man's treasure. I'm certain the Western fandom will greatly appreciate the appeasement material handed to them by Pierro.t

The latter is the more likely explanation. Junko may be subtly critical of this new direction, but she's not insane. Moreover, I've come to expect worst, so it's probably nothing too significant.
