When Kushina told Naruto to "...find someone like his mother", obviously a lot fans took it as an N/S hint. I agree that Sakura and Kushina are a lot alike, but that part wasn't really what sang N/S to me. The part that most resounded with me was not how much Sakura and Kushina are alike, but how, in my opinion, it seems Hinata and Kushina have close to nothing in common. Kushina's been referred to as a "red hot-blooded habanero" and "motor-mouth", titles which seem like 180 degree flips from Hinata's personality.
So here's my question (finally LOL). If, somehow, Naru/Hina were to happen, how would that work into Kushina's advice regarding women? I assume such a blatant hint made so recently would have some reason for being included in the story. I suppose it's possible that Kishi didn't really put any thought into it at the time, but even so, how exactly would he relate Hinata to Kushina? Other than having long hair, and being from prominent clans, the two are drastically different characters. I did have an idea a while back, that maybe Naruto's "two suns" comment regarding his parents could be related to Hinata's name ("a sunny place"/"towards the sun"), but that doesn't seem very strong to me.
Anyways, I'm curious to hear if anyone has any thoughts on this. By the way, I'm just playing devil's advocate for the sake of the debate, but I'm guessing most of you already know that.

Well, this is what happens when there are no new moments, we just keep circling ourselves in certain moments/scenes/characters and probably reach the same conclusion as the first time we approach it, but, sometimes, that is a positive to reassure ourselves that we are backing up the right pairing.

i know this is a bit off topic, but i'm surprised you had doubts about kag &Inu (or are you just talking about its fandom?), i always thought they were going to happen since the long long long ago beginning of the series- because kikkyo was dead from day one.
but anyways- I'm on the opposite end for Narusaku- just because i really want it to work now, but i've grown into it over time- part 1 i wasn't shipping anyone at all, too caught up in the plot and seeing naruto kick butt XD.
but yeah- the parallels are pretty straight forwards- and though i'm not sure if this fits- shikatema is hinted as well- and i feel they're another parallel: vocal/dangerous girl and a laid back guy whose really smart. thats quite similar to kushina and minato. tho both guys i'd think would get nervous when their respective girls get angry too.
and we all know whose scaries when angry to naruto XD.
and they fit the bill in other ways too, because although naruto is the more vocal between the two, when he's with her, he doesn't take a dominant role (like minato and shika).
hell i wouldn't be surprised if he could outwitted sakura in battle like shika did to temari

EDIT: @ boom
from what i've seen of naruhina fans- they like to think that with the compatibility between minato and kushina, is represented again in Naruhina- only with the roles reversed. Naruto is the motor mouth kushina- and hinata is the quiet minato. In essence they disregard what kushina says, and reverses her advice. As for why they do that- i don't quite know, just because they want to for their pairing. it makes some sense if you take into account kushinas initial judgement of Minato in the beginning- she had to be proven otherwise to recognise minato as someone she could fall in love with. I guess because of that- they think kushina doesn't know whats best for her son.
its BS because once again- they ignore the fact that naruto wants, and naruto will probably listen to his mom- i mean he gave her a hug and socked minato in the stomach (rightly so) when they 1st met. he loves both of them dearly, i'd have trouble believing he'd deny his parents last requests of him.

I know everybodys thirsty for the nxt NaruSaku moment.
EDIT: RdKunai66 is right im afraid. they switch rolls of the characters Minato/Hinata Kushina/Naruto witch shows how desperate they want to parallel them. ignoring what Kushina actually said to Naruto. lol
its pathetic really and laughable.

Plus, Minato wasn't in any way quiet and shy. Sans the temper, which in Sakura is very similar to Kushina, Minato's personality had similarities to Sakura not Hinata. Both Sakura and Minato are very intelligent, Minato's battle tactical thinking reminds me of Sakura's- look at the her cool and level headed way, with a fierce inner passion in how she fought in the Forest of Death, Sasori and Zetsu...

hehe- sakura and tactics- sorry XD- its just been so long since sakura's fought anyone-i've forgotten her fighting styles, or if she relies on tactics at all.
all i remeber was that naruto was the one with good ideas on the fly
shika was the planner and a general in the making.
sasuke relied on his jutsus and eye-spaming powers (i'm not sure if he ever had tactics- but i'd have to go back and re-read)
and sakura didn't have enough badass fights- her two teammates kept hogging the spot light ;_;.
but anyways- your right on minato being fiercly passionite, but i do think he talked less than kushina, and lol thats about it- it didn't mean he was shy- but he was quieter in comparison- but pretty much everyone was quieter in comparison to kushina <3.
although- i do like the comparisons- i'm happy that none of the possible couples are carbon copies of each other too. no freudian ships please.

sakura is good at tactics :3 well...she good at adapting to a situation

and with sasori were she figured out his finger patterns and was able to dodge all this attacks toward the last part of the battle :3 and even used her antidotes that she made to her advantage

and that little zetsu thing were she tricked him into revealing himself as an enemy and kicked his butt.
so yea

Actually, no. His strategic brains seems to be closer to Naruto's as he plans things on the fly. It also helps that his jutsu is one of the most haxed there is in the world.

I think they probably tend to forget at that time, that SAKURA FRIKEN HAD LONG HAIR AT ONE POINT!!!!! All right, sorry about that wanted to get that out, but yep, their case is weak there. However, I agree with the rest, its seems too similar to just be a coincidence. The parallels between MinaKush and NaruSaku is too much to not be ignored. Btw, how do the NH fans react to Kushina (Do they like her, or hate her almost on par with Sakura)?

are ya sure.....he seems more like a tactic type of person like sakura. minato doesnt seem like the type to jump in without a plan either.

It's not.
I've heard of people try to make the Kushina-Hinata parallel and it surprises me a bit because the Kushina-Sakura and Minato-Naruto paralell its not one of Kishomoto's more subtle ones. It's painful obvious even down to the suspicously similar back story. He didn't even try being subtle with that one.

Just forget it It's their view point though It WOULD be annoying if they spam it as valid arguments when it isn't

Wow, she's the friken mother of the main character and knows the best measures to take when it comes to dealing with Naruto and they just say stuff like that. As for the retarded ugly part, man, she's such a looker and was pretty smart in knowing that leaving strains of her red hair would help Minato find her that saying something like that is so insane. Holy crap, well I wanted an honest answer about that, and it is what it is, but its still friken shocking.
Well, that's probably another reason why I should not to go to NF. How are the mods there anyway?

Consider this bashing if you will, but whoever said that needs a boot to the ass and a slap to the head in order to think straight.
