I have to say that apparently, the more powerful you get in any shounen manga, the more gruesome you have to get. Ichigo attained a form not unlike that of Ulqiorra, and while that was quite expected... does he have to be that ugly...? I mean all skin and bones is not a nice change from actually having muscles. Oh well.

Apparently, he can't really 'speak', so maybe he's unconscious or something. Wonder how Kubo's going to end this arc, and we have yet to hear from Karakura for awhile now.

If the fight is over, yeah it wasn't great, but had its bad ass moments. And I'm looking forward to the Top 3 Espada, who I think are gonna be lucky that they aren't facing the main character

Now THAT is a crushing victory. Damn, whatever power Ichigo unlocked, it's nuts. Being able to go faster than a double released Arrancar can SEE is ridiculous, and that Cero at the end was wicked.

But the big question here is, what now? It seems Ichigo has lost himself completely to Ogihci, which means bad news for anybody that gets near him. Like Inoue.

This could get tragic very fast.

Kubo is just gaining more and more respect in my book right now. The way Ichigo just went point-blank Cero on Ulquiorra spoke volumes about this new side of Ichigo. It kind of reminds me of Star Wars (yeah, flame me if you want) but when Ulquiorra told Ichigo to attack, it reminded me of how Palpatine told Luke to strike him down and that he'd become all part of the 'Dark Side'.

Ichigo seems to be falling further into this new power of his. I could be wrong though. Maybe we'll luck out, and Ichigo is just putting up a good act with the roaring and whatnot?

This whole fight is in a nutshell why I have given up on Bleach, for 6 months 6 FREAKING MONTHS Kubo gives us fights with side characters while most of us are begging for Ichigo vs. Uliquarra. Then once the fight finally happens it's over before it even began and Ichigo has an out of the blue Super Saiyan like transformation. Don't get me wrong this series knows how to hype me up but it also knows how to seriously let me down and leave me to think "wtf did I like this at all for?". Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go read Zombie Powder (Kubo's other manga which I like better, I know I'm in the minority).

He has a large cast of characters and wanted to develop his side characters instead of tossing them aside. Is it bad that a mang-ka wants to give screen time to other characters as well instead of neglecting them? Just because you may not care for them, doesn't mean other readers don't care either. It's character development, and in a manga were characters come first, its important to show the rest of the side characters!

Its been going on for 11 chapters and counting, which is a norm for every fight.
Also, foreshadowed a long time ago that Ichigo would defeat Ulquiorra.

We don't know who's in control of Ichigo right now, so we'll just have to wait and find out! It could be Shirosaki or it could be the fact that Ichigo has a hole in his chest -> hes in Hueco Mundo -> his Hollow powers have surged. The possibilities are endless and we just gotta wait for Kubo to explain!

I can understand don't get me wrong but every side character fight lasted only a few chapters....yeah that's real development. Let me put it this way, if Ichigo and Ulquiarra had met AFTER all of these side character fights and then started to fight I wouldn't have had such a problem. BUT what Kubo did was have Ichigo and Ulquiarra meet, tease their upcoming fight and then for 6 months we get all the side character fights and that seriously pissed me off.

I thought this chapter was pretty cool.
It's missing a lot of things though. Like who's in control right now?
What exactly is he? And will someone have to stop him? Cause it really does not look like "Ichigo" is in control right now.
But that's just what I think.
I knew Ichigo would beat Ulquiarra. But I didn't think he would have to "die" and come back as something else.
But I have no idea what's gonna happen from here.
Hopefully something good. Don't let me down Kubo!!!!

I still want to know the difference between Sonido and Shunpo. Was it only something Ulq points out for us to see that Ichi is fighting more like a hollow now, and less as a shinigami? I'd say the whole cero-thing was a big hint in favour of that theory though.

I was expecting this to happen though. Ichigo needed to find a new level of power if he wanted to even be a slight threat to Aizen and his two manslaves, so Ichi will at least need to learn how to access this new power. He gets alot stronger as a "regular" shinigami after every power-up as well, so this looks promising. Good chapter!

And True... that color pic of Hotsumoto... I greatly approve!

Stopping Ichigo from killing THEIR enemy? Really now? Why would he do that...seriously..Quincys dont purify hollows they just kill them, so how is what Ichigo doing any different?
