All movies in my local theater have always been in 2D anyways, so i never even seen any 3D before except when i went to a I-Max theater at state capital city and Disney World when i was a little kid.

Its coming out July 2nd. The new trailer has me neutral. Certain parts look stunning, others, like a bit of the fighting with Aang and the blue spirit, looked a little stupid.

That's to each his own. Honestly, I question the necessity of having that scene still in the movie.

Well, it is the climax of the whole first season in the cartoon. Makes sense that they would use it in the movie, or else they would have to make up something new. As the avatar, only he would defend/revenge the death of the moon spirit.
It didn't look like they used the image from the cartoon where he was inside the form of the earth spirit glowing bright blue. I could be wrong about that, but I think it's more suitable for the live action that way.

LOL... Now I know your confusion. The Blue Spirit is the episode when Zuko dressed up in the mask to rescue Aang after he had been capture by Zhao. Not when Aang went into the Avatar State and destroyed all of Zhao's army in the Northern Water Tribe kingdom. I was wondering why you stated the blue spirit episode was the climax of the first season. It's not even close.

And after looking at the trailer again, I have to agree that part with Aang and the Blue Spirit (Zuko) was kinda whack. It's somewhat obvious that the guy playing Zuko doesn't know how to fight.

There was some discussion a page back about the change in movie for firebenders needing a source of fire in order to bend except for the really advanced benders... well, I saw this today and it pokes a little fun at the change and I must say, it makes sense as well.

LOL! I honestly didn't think about that. But yea you and the artist has a good point. I didn't like the change anyway. But who am I to disagree with the directorial genius of M. Knight Shyamalan

That seariously made me laugh, the second one is priceless.

But if you thing about it, is more realistic that way than creating fire out of no where, but then again, less pratical.

Realistic? We're talking about a show that has a flying six-legged bison, martial arts that allows you to command the elements, where a platepuss bear is a common animal. I think we can hang realistic out to dry when it comes to this series. Why do we need realism when it's supposed to be based on a cartoon, anyway?

Some interesting news was released recently by one of the creators of Avatar the last airbender. He said that a spinoff series is in the works! They are now hiring a production staff, and Viacom copyrighted the title "Avatar The Legend Of Korra" (based on the name it seems it will be about a waterbender girl who'll be the next avatar). Hopefully we'll here more news soon!

If it's about the next avatar, it probably means Aang is dead. Given that the reason I liked the show was because of the characters, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't like a whole new cast of characters, or even the original cast if they are forced to mourn Aang.

Not to mention Season 3 went downhill awfully fast, so it's probably a good thing it ended before they completely ruined the show.

Still, I suppose, if it actually airs, I'll give it a chance.

Really? you didn't like season 3? Ah, well. I'm sure they'll do a good job this time round, too, and maybe better since they can learn from mistakes made on the first show.

I hope they give avatar more realism like blood but knowing how american tv labels some anime (Naruto, One Piece, DBZ) for little kids.
