The anime is just a throwaway side-attraction intended to satiate an excess hunger for Naruto content when the manga is going through its weekly cycle. I haven't followed it in any serious capacity since 2007, and do you know what my thoughts on that neglect for an entire medium of entertainment are like? Gratitude. Yes, I'm grateful that my desire for Naruto didn't transform into a fierce zeal that's incapable of being subdued with the original literature alone. It saved me from becoming dependent on the nitwits over at Pierrot who suckle on the kitten of a timid little brat with a "woe is me" complex who is unable to get out of their self-centred little world and appreciate the people and circumstances of their life (be they good or ill-natured). 

 

I had little intention of watching this movie even before crap hit the fan, but the tidbits of the movie people are giving have utterly destroyed what little inkling may have been stowed away in the corner of my mind to entertain it.

 

My words to those of you who have already watched or are in the process of watching this movie: I don't know whether to consider you gallant endurers or suicidal masochists looking to torture your eyes and brain. Maybe you're both. Either way, thank you for relaying just how bad the film to those of us who refuse to subject ourselves to that sort of torment.

I've pretty much lost my incentive of watching this movie. So, I've decided to go home this weekend and make my brother watch it with me. He thought the ending was mediocre at its best, but I bet this movie will be worse than his worst nightmare. And besides, I can't watch this movie on my own; gotta rant and make fun about it with someone else. It helps that he hates Hinata and thinks she is a useless and overrated chick.

@swagkura, Thank you for taking one for all of us. Honestly, I just felt disappointed in seeing, well beyond everything else in this movie, but being treated to the possibility that naruto confessed off screen. We didn't his confession, we just got naruto's retconned feelings about sakura and hinata. If this was their attempt at giving hinata an identity, it failed. She's still a one dimensional damsel.

Here is summary of the movie 
 

Swagkura's complete plot summary of The Last

Lol, did you see the scene with Sakura and Hinata walking together at night, and Hinata asking Sakura why she's supporting her do much? They have Sakura get this sad look(pretty much every time she thinks about Sasuke) and they then show Sasuke walking. Sakura tells her we need to support each other 
 
Yup.
The scene shifts are so random, like they where just talking to Kakashi, and now their suddenly flying on Sai's birds in some winter area. No explanation on why Naruto and Hinata are on the same one.
Technology is so advanced now that they have a digital clock on their kittening hands that's sounding down to when the earth will be destroyed  

After Shikamaru tells them to split up, he tells Naruto to take care of Hinata, since she obviously can't protect herself.
 
 
Hinata is literally jealous of Kushina's scarf. Naruto says it means a lot to me, and Hinata gets this depressed look on her face while Sakura just stares at her with this equally sad expression.
 
 
Lmao, the genjutsu scene is hilarious as kitten. It starts right after they dive into the water. Naruto's at the academy when their talking about if the world ends, blah blah blah, then the moon literally falls right on top of the academy. Then goes to the Chunin exams when Naruto is about to fight Kiba. It then shows Hinata drifting closer to Naruto in the actual genjutsu, then the Pain scene from when she tried to fight him. The scarf then starts wrapping itself around Naruto.
 

 
Lmao, ok, now the genjutsu scene has Naruto seeing everything from Hinata's point of view. When it comes to the academy, she writes Naruto's name down as the one she wants to spend her life with if the world ends, even though she just kittening met him. Then they have Sakura appearing out of nowhere telling him how dense he is. They just guilt trip Naruto left and right.
 
Lol, Sakura comes running into Naruto dream all of a sudden basically dispelling the genjutsu. She's happy that he's awake, and Shikamaru mentions that she was the only one that was able to resist the illusion. They then start to head off into the water again, when Naruto stays back with Hinata and mentions the dream. He runs off Hinata is about to jump in to when Toneri appears out of kittening nowhere. Hinata asks where. Hanabi is at, and Toneri tells her that she's sleeping in his castle. Toneri literally tells Hinata let's get married like the creep he is.

 
Ok, There in the little village where Naruto's admiring Hinata's sexy arms. There searching through the village, and Naruto and Hinata are together, since Hinata can't fight for herself. Hinata screams, and Naruto runs toward her to see that she got caught in a spider web. Naruto says that you can see far with your Byakugan, but you walk straight into a spider web. You're so silly. He then takes all the spider webs out of her hair. They then start walking again, Naruto finds a fountain, puts his hands in the fountain, and gives the water to Hinata, which she process to drink out of his hands. I have never felt so much disgust.
 
 
Y'all, Hamura just appears in some kittening random cave calling Hinata the Byakugan Princess. He only wants her, so he uses some power on her that makes her see the past or some kitten, then he says the Tenseigan has been revived. Hinata passes out like the pathetic main character she is.
 
Ok, so now Hinata's being all distant from Naruto, and he's getting all sad and kitten over it. There then sitting on top of a building, when this random wind blows by. Hinata' hair is flowing, while Naruto just stares at her in awe.
Lol, and she's knitting the scarf in random places. She then lampshades the fact that she's knitting a scarf while her sisters in danger, asking Naruto is she's a horrible big sister.
 
Just watched the confession scene, and it was stupid as kitten. Hinata's knitting the scarf, then when she asks Naruto if she's a terrible big sister, Naruto goes not his tangent about how that's not true since you're here on this mission. Hinata tells him he's so kind, and then Naruto tells her that I'm not being kind just because I love you or anything. Hinata gets surprised, and asks Naruto what he just said.
So kittening retarded.
 
 
Ok, so after the little confession, Naruto tells Hinata something(guessing I love you). Toneri comes down in some flying contraption to take Hinata with him. She gives the scarf to Naruto, and gets on the machine. Tony puts his arm out, and she gets pulled into his shoulder. She then has this cold look on her face and tells Naruto goodbye. Naruto screams out Hinata's name, and that wakes up Sakura and the rest. Naruto's traveling through trees trying to get to his waifu, when some minion attacks him. One of Sai's birds save him, and he the flies up to the machine Hinata's on. Tony tells Hinata that she came willingly, and their going to get married. Naruto asks Hinata if this is true, she doesn't say anything. Then he tries to attack Toneri, when he uses some counter jutsu on Naruto that goes right inside of him and explodes, creating this huge explosion that's big enough to poof on the side of the moon. Naruto's falling, and the scarf that Hinata gave him is burnt. Naruto's just staring at them as he falls, while Hinata starts crying.
 
 
Ok, so now they show the moon breaking after NH parting scene. The Leaf Village citizens are trying to evacuate, and they have Shizune helping them out. No Tsunade anywhere. The Kages destroy all the meteors falling on the village. Switches back to Naruto,and Sakura's healing him. Naruto says Hinata's name during his sleep, and Sakura says you finally get it, you blockhead. Ugh  
Scene to Hinata sleeping, and Toneri's just standing over her saying how beautiful she is. He wants to know more about her, some uses some jutsu, and guess who it shows, Naruto  
Tony then asks who is he.

Hinata wakes up in some king sized bed in Toneri's castle. She searches through the castle and finds Hanabi, whose eyes have been taken out. Flashback to Hinata talking to Toneri in the beginning, and he shows her this vision of Hanabi in the bed. Tony says something about Hamura, then tells her some history about him, and how the Hyuuga clan inherited his chakra. Then he tells a story about Hagoromo and his history.
 
So now, Tony's clan was created by Hamura to destroy the world. Tony wanks the Byakugan, saying he needs it's visual prowess to actually be able to do that. Cut the flashback, it now goes to Toneri being happy that Hinata accepted his offer. They then walk through the castle, where. Tony's puppets greet her as Lady Hinata. They walk through some more, and Toneri has some children cleaning the stairs(guessing their also puppets). Tony talks about how he was lonely in the castle since his father died early. He shows Hinata where the wedding will be held, and then go into the room of rebirth, where they'll sleep until the Earth's environment stabilizes after it's destruction.

Lol, Toneri asks Hinata if she'll knit a scarf just for him    He's very happy.
He then gets a headache, and says that the Byakugan is evolving into the Tenseigan. Hinata flashes back to when Hamura used the jutsu on her again.
 
Now this is very ridiculous.
Hinata's in some vision or whatever it is I have no idea, but she's standing in front of Hamura's army. One of his descendants comes up, the one from the cave, and tells Hinata that she's the only one who can stop the tenseigan. The soldiers start bowing, and Hamura comes up. He addresses Hinata as Byakugan princess. He again confirms that Hinata is basically the only one who can save the world. This movie is literally just one giant Hinata wank fest, goodness  
Naruto feels like a side character, to be completely honest.
 
So now after the ToneHina kitten in the castle, they show Sai and Shikamaru trying to get into Toneri's castle through some artificial sun. Switches over to Killer Bee and Raikage, who have a kittening cannon that can transport any target into another dimension. After that, they have ToneHina sitting at a table, with Toneri wanting to know more about Hinata. Hinata says that it's not too late to negotiate with the shinobi on Earth, all while knitting a scarf for Tony. Tony says they'll start another war again, and that he doesn't want Hinata to bring up that subject again. He then tells Hinata to shut the kitten up like the good waifu she is and eat her food.

Switch over to Naruto, and he wakes up after dreaming of Hinata. Shikamaru says it's been 3 days, and asks if something happened between him and the Princess. Sai talks about how Naruto was having wet dreams about her, but he was glad that he got to see Naruto's mushy side (Sakura who   ) and that it's great research. Shikamaru says that they need to go save Hanabi and Hinata, but Naruto doesn't since Hinata broke his fragile heart. Shikamaru says that he now knows Naruto weakness.
 
Ok, so they have Hinata going with Toneri to some floating island that has the Tenseigan in it. Tony says that he'll show the real one to her once their married. Switches over to Naruto and the gang again, and Naruto's still depressed. Shikamaru tells Naruto that you gave up on a woman, so why don't you give up on being Hokage too. Shikamaru tells him to give up again since he gave up on the woman. Naruto gets mad then grabs Shikam, asking if he's picking a fight. Shikamaru bluntly tells him that he doesn't give a kitten about what happens between Naruto and Hinata, but he tells him to snap out of his little b*tch fit! since he's a Shinobi. Shika tells Naruto to come with him. Switches back to Tony and Hinata, whose still knitting the scarf for Tony. Tony goes back to his room, telling Hinata he can't wait for the finished scarf.

Hinata sneaks out the castle after he's gone. Toneri can feel that the Tenseigan is about to be born. Switches over to Naruto saying Sakura's name, whose spent her time nearly dying over Naruto by infusing almost every ounce of her chakra into him, so that she could prevent him from dying. Naruto runs over to Sakura's sleeping body, and says he's sorry. He still says Sakura-chan. Sai asks Shikamaru is he's gonna rely on Sakura to not only heal Naruto's body, but his heart too. Shika asks Sai if he can do it. Sai says that he has a point. Cue laughter.

Back to NaruSaku, Sakura says that she would have never expected for him to be the first to confess. She then says remember long ago, when you said you loved me. Naruto doesn't say anything. Sakura asks wasn't that because I LOVED Sasuke. She says that he didn't want to lose him. Naruto again doesn't say anything, of course because he obviously used her for her feelings  
Sakura asks if it's real this time. She says that Hinata is a great person, and that she's almost too good for Naruto. Then Naruto says that it's over now, since Hinata went to Tony. Sakura says that it's obvious that she had a reason of going with him. Then she says the thing about when a girl has feelings, blah blah blah, they're not easy to change. Switches over to a scene of Sasuke stating at the moon. Sakura says that she understands how Hinata feels.
 
 
Thats basically what the movie is saying.

Ok, so onto Naruto saving Sakura. She's riding on her own bird at first that gets attacked. The bird blows up, and Sakura falls. Naruto jumps off his bird, grabs Sakura arm, they start swinging around in the air, and then land on another bird. Sakura thanks Naruto, and Naruto says that he has a debt that he will never be able to repay towards Sakura. Cue me almost crying.
 
Alright, so once they finally get inside of the castle, they split up. Toneri and Hinata are about kiss with the cookie, when Naruto interrupts them by yelling Hinata's name. Hinata being mind controlled.
Shikamaru defends Naruto, telling him to go on ahead. They show the Sand Siblings in their village, with Gaara protecting them with sand from a meteor. Goes to the leaf village, with Kakashi telling them to do some formation that has Lee in it. Lee punches a part of the meteor. Meteor is about to hit Kakashi, when Sasuke shows up like the badass he is and destroys the meteor with a chidori stream. Sasuke says if Naruto isn't there, the only one who can protect the village is him. Sasuke then disappears.

Switch over to Sakura bashing the kitten out of some puppets. That's all the fighting she gets though. Switches back to ToneHina, who's about to go in the chamber that makes them sleep. Tony makes Hinata fight Naruto, while he comments what do you think of my wife's skills. Naruto's dodges the attacks, then sticks his arm inside Hinata's boobs to stop Toneri from controlling her. Tony makes Hinata come back too him. He attacks Naruto, and Hinata wakes up, and Tony is about to put her back under his control when he gets a headache. The princess runs to Naruto, telling him that she's sorry. Naruto says he understand. Hinata says that they have to destroy the Tenseigan.

Switch to SaiSaku, who have found Hanabi. Sakura picks up the ripped red scarf. Now back to NH, Hinata says that only someone with her chakra can destroy it. Hinata then uses the Twin Lion Fists, and jumps up into the air to attack the Tenseigan. It doesn't work. Naruto looks at Hinata, then grabs her hand like 614/615 all over again. He says that if they combine their chakra, they might be able to destroy it together. Hinata says ok. They combine heir chakra and jump up together, copying the NaruSasu combo from the war since they have no originality whatsoever. The Tenseigan shatters into a cluster of Byakugans. The puppets around the castle stop working.

Switches to Killer Bee and Raikage, who fire off the chakra cannon. Destroys all the meteors. Then it goes to the Five Kages all on TV talking to each other. Raikage says they'll blow up the moon, since there's no such things as the tides. NH meet up with Shikamaru, who they tell that the Tenseigan has been destroyed. The countdown clock has stopped.
 
NH & Shikamaru meet up with SaiSaku, and Sakura gives Sakura the ripped scarf. Naruto was able to see Hinata's memories after pulling the jutsu out of her breasts. Sakura asks Hinata if she was gonna give it to Naruto, and Hinata says yes. Naruto says can he have it, Hinata says it's in shreds, but Naruto doesn't care. Hinata gives the scarf to him, and. Naruto says thank you, and that he'll cherish it. ShikaSakuSai are smiling at the scene. Shika says the cloud is moving again. Switch to Toneri, who says that he'll destroy the world with the eyes he has. Switch to Kages, who are talking about the moon being destroyed is too dangerous.

Rescue team gets attacked by some statue, Naruto's holding Hinata since again she's too weak to do kitten by herself. Naruto goes into Nine-tailed chakra mode and let's Kurama start attacking the statue. Kurama throws the statue, who gets backs up and attacks him again. NH are riding on Sai's bird together while ShikaSaku are on the other one(OTP b*tches). Toneri comes flying on some giant bird and transforms into his own chakra mode. He uses some wind attack on the rescue team, scattering them. Naruto grabs Hinata's hand, and some tornado appears on the moon. It then goes to Kakashi and the others. Ino's in the machine that her dad is usually in with Team Guy. Guy's in a wheelchair, while Tenten has finally showed up for her minimal screen time. Hiashi tells Kakashi to not destroy the moon, since he can feel that Hinata and Hanabi are on it. Kakashi's assistant comes and tells him that Kurama is in the moon.

Kurama is still fighting the statue. Raikage is still charging up the chakra cannon. Kakashi tells Raikage not to blow up the moon, since Naruto and the rest are on there. Raikage says that they have to be sacrificed for the sake of humanity and the earth.
 
Gaara tells Raikage go give Naruto an hour. Mizukage says that Naruto is the hero of the last war,and that they should bet on him. Switches over to NH on the moon. Naruto asks Hinata if she's ok, they start walking over to each other, until some explosion separates them. When the smoke clears, Toneri has Hinata with him. He throws Hinata in some random birdcage that's on the moon like the Naruto-kunning Pokemon she is. Naruto tries to get to Hinata when Toneri starts throwing moon rocks at him. Cue Dragon Ball Z fight montage. Kurama's still fighting the statue. Toneri uses some jutsu that splits the moon in half. Naruto uses massive rasengan on Tony. Tony tells Naruto to give up, Naruto basically say b*tch please, and somehow finds a way to add the scarf in his speech, since that's the most important thing in his life now. Naruto beats Tony with one punch. Bird cage disappears, and Hinata takes Hanabi's eyes out of Tony's sockets. Tony says it's not over yet, and he raises he his head, showing that he has no eyes.

Switch to Sakura, whose asked by Shikamaru if she's ok. Toneri starts gathering up all the Byakugans so that he can destroy the world. ShikaSakuSai shows up. Hinata tries to tell Tony to stop, he tells her to shut up, and he sucks up all of Naruto's chakra. Hinata then grabs Naruto's hand, and they combine their chakra again. Toneri turns into this big blob of Byakugan eyes. Kurama writes on the moon mission accomplished. The rescue team are the saviors of the earth. Kurama is apparently bad a calligraphy. Toneri remains on the moon to atone for his sins, and Hinata tells him to come to earth. He says no. Hinata asks about Naruto's scarf, who he says was made by his late mother. She says that she's so silly. The rest go on ahead, leaving NH alone. Naruto grabs Hinata hand and tells her lets go home to earth. They jump off, and one of the moons show them in the future. Naruto says he wants to stay with Hinata forever.

All the little moons are showing their past history, and they're running towards the moon, showing all of their past selves. The little moons behind them are exploring. Naruto starts holding Hinata, and tells her to put her arms around him. She does, and he tells her not to let go. She says she'll never let go. Naruto uses a rasengan to propel them all the way up into the sky, when they come together with a bunch of sparkles and the moon behind them and kiss. Cue me puking. The screen then cuts off with Naruto saying thank you to Hinata.

The credits pop up, and show Naruto and Hinata holding hands together with a cherry blossom tree behind them. Next, it shows Iruka fixing the rose in Naruto, with all the guys with them. Kiba and Shino finally show up here. Next scene is Sakura and the other Kunoichis taking a selfie. Next scene shows everyone in their outfits for the wedding, with NH standing right next to each other. After that shows NH smiling in the front with SaiSaku right behind them. After that is NH talking to somebody, then Naruto giving Killer Bee a brofist, and Gaara shaking Hinata's hand, most likely congratulating her. Temari is also there with them. Next is Naruto talking to InoShikaChou, who all have these creepy ass smiles on their faces. Next is NH talking to Tsunade, with Kakashi, Shizune, and Yamato behind her. Next is Iruka talking to them. 

After that is NH talking to Sakura, who has the most fakes smile I've ever seen her give. Sai, Shikamaru, and Kakashi are behind her. Finally, Naruto and Hinata standing together in the cherry blossoms, they then turn towards each other, and kiss. Final scene shows Hinata knitting, and Naruto comes home. Duracell and Mop-head run towards their father telling him to play with them. They jump on him. Then switches over to a photo set of NH wedding, Duraceel and Mop-head being born(Mop-head is absolutely hideous). Naruto says let's have a snowball fight. Naruto says that Hinata gets strong when she's serious. Movie ends.

All in all, this movie is complete kitten.
