Still wondering why Sakura cares what Sasuke thinks.
You could say she was disappointed because he didn't show concern for her but...I mean she knew they weren't on the same side the entire war and was weary of him from the beginning. I'm just getting the impression that even though its platonic now Sakura still is leaning more towards SS than NS. I think it would have gone a lot smoother if it was Kakashi or Naruto that thought that.
With Sakura it felt very similar to when Karin was betrayed. The whole "what am I to you" rather than "yo bro that's your teammate over there have some concern"
you guys read way too much into this. Kakashi's comments made it clear that she still cared about sasuke and wanted to save him out of his darkness. What does he do this chapter? He shows plainly to her face that he's still very well in darkness.
After reading almost all pages I still have my opinion of what Sasuke could had done but there is also room for the others explanation as well, my problem will always be on why if he was he aiming at something but got attack by that same something he was aiming at by surprise.
Anyway the result are the same it wasn't a good sign for the other side since it shows Sasuke clearly does not give a kitten about it and Kishi finally pushing that in her tick head.
I honestly wish he had done that after the summit.
Anyway future chapter will make that clear.
I do wonder the buildup to this. I mean we know it won't end pretty since Sasuke's hidden agenda hasn't been revealed, which is guaranteed to be bad for Team 7. Kakashi got the sense that it's not good but since they have to work together, it's ok. You can tell by his face before the next page after Sakura asked Sasuke what is his true intention. Naruto seems like he might know, especially if he put the puzzle of Sasuke and the story of reincarnation. It's like well that does scream bad news. Anyway, the wait continues. Surely, we will understand the clear view of everything.
I'm not saying that Sasuke cares about her. I'm just saying that Sasuke wasn't planning to cut through Sakura to get through Madara.
I know he doesn't care, or he's an a**hole, or a jerk or whatever you guys call him. I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm not trying to excuse him. There's no need to tell me how bad Sasuke is. I KNOW, I KNOW. But that's not what I'm talking about. Can't I just talk about Sasuke that has nothing to do with how he cares /doesn't care?
I'm just talking about how he handled the battle.
I know. It's just if he truly did, I want to go there and just do all executions from all video games known to mankind.
Anyways you can tell with all the negative feedback kishi is planting on this pairing that he's planning to come to a resolution on Sakura's feelings pretty soon.
Anyways you can tell with all the negative feedback kishi is planting on this pairing that he's planning to come to a resolution on Sakura's feelings pretty soon.
That what it seems like. I mean if teaming up doesn't help, I don't want what does. Now for those who still debating about her not loving him, the understandable argument is that Kakashi could see it but Sakura can't or rather mixed with it. I don't know what's true, but we shall wait and see. This buildup with her and Sasuke has been going in this arc, yet somehow NS get the greater treatment, including CPR and dialogues during it. It's saying something. Plus, we are only in the beginning of Madara's reign of terror, so we will see the progress of the downfall and maybe the new rises of NS(?). Surely, Kishi isn't doing this on purpose to have so much significant moments for NS. Not all of them were made to do compare and contrast with Sasuke, so what is Kishi's game? Hopefully, very soon we'll know. Then, only then, I can finally comment.
Still wondering why Sakura cares what Sasuke thinks.
Because it comes from someone she really cares for?
Even if she was probably aware of that, it's still a pretty hard slap in the face.

"We live in a world that is so quick to convince us to ignore our feelings. Feeling stressed? Get a massage. Feeling angry? Go to the bar with your friends and blow off steam. Feeling lonely? Meet someone in cyberspace and have a conversation on the computer. Depressed? Take a pill. Anxiety? Take 2 pills. Feeling happy? Well, by George, don’t talk about that because no one likes a bragger. Same with being sad, no one likes a Debbie Downer. But, heaven FORBID, that you actually TALK about your feelings and process them in a healthy way."
So after sleeping, and rereading this chapter again. I came to the conclusion that this chapter is not really ASS, but is more AntiTeam 7(on Sasuke part) which is why Sakura was upset with how Sasuke didn't care.

You know....people will still bash her. SS fans will all the more go crazy and just demolish her character, I won't say what they call her. NH fans will call her a b*tch for kittening with Naruto and coming between Naruto and Hinata. They won't hesitate to say that Naruto played with Hinata's emotions. Sasuke's character is at is not good. But I guess all this shouldn't matter to us since what matters to us is NS and as long as we get that, we can be happy
@FireFox I know right? :/
Well what can we do many will just hand wave it.
The problem with this manga is that you need to do what Kakashi said and look underneath the underneath. However, 60% of it's fans refuse to do that and take eveything at face value. Sakura looked like she charged in recklessly. That's it and that's how they're gonna take it, they won't think beyond it. Sakura got saved by Naruto again. They don't care about pairings, so they will just call her weak. She thought about Sasuke, then she's clearly still fangirling(sarcasm).
Kishi likes to be subtle, especially with Sakura and her development and that's the problem. He needs to give it to the haters and straight up F**cking show them she's not weak. They refuse to see logic outside of what is drawn in the manga and will not try to look for deeper meanings.
NH/SS have the opposite problem, when it comes to their ships. They look so deep into it, that they barely remember what actually happens in the manga and delude themselves into thinking they're right.
Kishi just need to be straight forward about Sakura's feelings and that she is not weak. Until that happens the 24/7 bashing will not end. Sure bashing will never end, but people might start waking up from their bulls**t, if their complaints get proven wrong by Kishi himself in a way that they can't twist it.
Amen to that to rate people are moaning 'oh Sakura went in without thinking'
Okay then guys lets say they did what you all want and all try to think of a plan with Madara right there in front of them. Without attacking here.
Kakashi: Okay we all need to make a plan
Madara: Its okay I will be playing cards while you all try to think of something, hey black zetsu got any two's
That what it seems like. I mean if teaming up doesn't help, I don't want what does. Well as far as Naruto goes we know that she hadn't/maybe hasn't realized her true feelings yet (whether yamato hinting at it, or the db questioning her feelings about him etc) about this whole mess. Definitely expecting something similar to the end of the tales of a gutsy ninja, where the Sakura character goes into her subconscious and realizes the person she likes is truly Naruto and not the Sasuke character. It seems like Kishi is really setting things up that way to me.

I concur with this. Sakura's not disappointed that Sasuke isn't paying attention to her, she's disappointed by his constant apathy of her.
Her sadness doesn't have to do with her romantic feelings, but for her desire to be acknowledged by Sasuke. It's almost ridiculous how similar she has become to Naruto when it comes to their desires for Sasuke.
I personally would rather Sakura stop yearning for Sasuke's recognition so much. Maybe if she gets stuck in the infinite tsukuyomi she could realize that she doesn't need Sasuke's validation to measure her self worth, and at the same time realize that Naruto's view of her is way more precious now.

After all the kitten Kishi was going through in the attempt for Sasuke to change his way I would argue on his defense that there was no more malicious hiding agenda behind Sasuke's goal and the fight with Naruto would be a friendly fight, a battle for the Hokage seat or a clash of Ideals, but lately looking on this character behavior I no longer look on him a positive way, maybe because he wants to kill Naruto and he didn't told them was was his goal.
Anyways you can tell with all the negative feedback kishi is planting on this pairing that he's planning to come to a resolution on Sakura's feelings pretty soon.
That's the same conclusion I came up with a long time ago.

at no point I was adressing you I know better than that, I no longer discust anti discutios about a character with a pro fan of the same character this is not my style anymore, so if you thought that I was adreesing you then sorry.

If he did, then I'd agree with you. But I just don't think that was the case.
Helena, hardly she will fight back... Sakura is the most human character of the series, I doubt she'll be able to do something big as Naruto and Sasuke does. Even Kakashi is a total failure. The sensei of team 7 only appears to downplay himself, the only time Kakashi shined was against Zabuza, wich he had a bad time to defeat...
If Sakura falls in the genjutsu world, probably we'll see her interacting with a atentious Sasuke like in RTN movie. It's already rooted in her character, she is fated to have feelings for Sasuke. It's on her deepest emotions, the Mugen Tsukuyomi world just represents one's truest and dearest wishes.
I don't know if you guys remember this, but this was the reason Naruto realized for why he loves her so much. As Naruto does, Sakura just want to be accepted and recognized by someone she appreciates. Sasuke will recognize Sakura, it's fated, Kishimoto will write it, probably by the end of this arc. But I also don't believe there will be more than it. He'll just recognize her as he did when he abandoned the village. This emotion for Sasuke is a HUGE HOLE in Sakura's character and it HAS to be fulfilled. The same goes for Hinata, Kishimoto owns her an closure. I believe that only one couple will be officialized in the end, but I don't think that the rest of them will be just left forgotten without any story to tell. This situation that Sakura is in can be interpreted in two ways: Or Kishimoto is preparing the scene that will give her love for Sasuke a "case closed" status, or he is really making her get over her feelings for him painfully and butthurted, what just KILLS her purpose as character. Sakura can mature, she's a sensive and rational girl. She'll not change for real by getting hurt, after all, the story shows us every time that no hurt can undone someone's feelings. Also, if she doesn't think about her feelings for Sasuke with her heart clean, there's no way for her to love Naruto forsooth. She have to put them on a balance and think who's really make her feel more happy and confortable. She have to consider this rationally. Or else, she failed her point as a character (or Kishimoto failed her).
But well, this is me reading the story expecting Kishimoto to fulfill his job as a writer. I believe that he knows what he's doing. And I have a little perspective of it.
It comes from Kishimoto's writing style this thing of unilateral undying pure passion. Did you notice that almost all of his characters doesn't have a healthy love life? The only ones who truly had (Minato & Kushina and Yahiko & Konan) died tragically. It comes alot from his personal life. This karma relationship between Naruto and Sakura (and several characters), taking reference from a radio interview on Japan with Kishimoto and his wife, came from his own love life. When Kishimoto was a teenager, he entered in a baseball group in his school (what inspired him to write BENCH, wich was a failure and refused by all editors he presented the first oneshot for being "too heavy for young boys", the shonen genre). He was in love with a girl who was in love with the team's capitain who didn't cared for anyone. Apparently nothing have gone right for any of them (or she have started to date the capitain), he got transfered and never saw the girl anymore... Then, 3 years later he and this girl reunited at college and started to know each other very well. She was single at that time, but nowadays this girl is his wife. Only a few people know about this interview, I just have this information because a friend of mine who lived in Japan and heared the whole interview. As there's no way of how to prove it, being an extra-official interview non relationated with JUMP's productions, it's not well spoken. But, well, if it's true, you can start to understand why Kishimoto puts his characters in such heavy love karma. Well, almost all writers do reflect things of their personal lifes on their stories, so it's understandable. If he have empathy for all of them, it's certain that they'll have an nice conclusion.

[/spoiler]
So yeah, there's a buildup for a reason. I'll wait. I'm just wondering how this will play out now. I mean are they really going to the genjutsu world or somehow they will do something to break free. Don't know but I hope something comes out of this.
you guys read way too much into this. Kakashi's comments made it clear that she still cared about sasuke and wanted to save him out of his darkness. What does he do this chapter? He shows plainly to her face that he's still very well in darkness.
This is right here. Naruto acted like a teammate would. Sasuke didn't. Naruto showed he cared, Sasuke didn't. he's clearly not the Sasuke she knows.
This chapter really explains how cold and distant Sasuke is, and that he actually hasn't changed at all.
He doesn't even care about Sakura, and yet people still want Sakura to be with him?
I get it if they like it because they 'think' Sakura still loves sasuke (which she doesn't anymore, because 675 kind of cleared that up)
but other than that... I don't see the appeal to this ship, especially when Sasuke seems to not care about romance. He didn't even ask if she was okay, not even a glance?! Come on, I mean Sasuke was able to apologize to Karin, he could have atleast said something to Sakura. But I guess Kishimoto is really trying to make a point with telling the readers that Sasuke just doesn't care about Sakura, not even as a teammate.
Anyways I'm not bothered with Sakura feeling sad about Sasuke not caring, I like it when it shows Sakura worried about others, especially when it's about Naruto and Sasuke. It proves what Kakashi said is true. She truely is a kind girl. Also, she cares about sasuke, not romantically of course, and because she wants team7 together again, she wants to save him from the darkness, but by the way he's acting it's easy to get discouraged.

I thought this chapter was rather well done. We're finally getting into the grit of the villain's main objective, the Infinite Tsukiymi. What happens next? If Infinite Tsukiyomi happens, it's all over, and Madara won. If we go by Hagoromo, Madara is after the fruit of the Juubi. He must plan on releasing the tree again, and have it start grabbing and entangling people, and absorbing their chakra, while putting them to sleep. What does that say for Team 7? Will they all get caught , or will at least Naruto and Sasuke be immune to it? If everyone gets caught in Tsukiyomi, how much panel time does Kishimoto plan to spend on visiting everyone's dream world? Will Naruto find a way to prevent at least the alliance from going under the genjutsu? I find myself asking these questions. Anyway, the next chapter will look to be a dark one, with "the world is doomed" vibe.
Sakura has basically done everything Tsunade has taught her, even the seal. Many people have called her a copy of Tsunade, and their claims are understandable, after she got the Byakugou. Even now, Sakura has proven to one of Tsunade's most accomplished students. However, she has yet to surpass her Sannin like Naruto and Sasuke. She doesn't have anything that's truly her own or sets her apart from her mentor. I don't know what Kishimoto-sensei has in mind, but he intends to do Sakura's resolution soon. We have her feelings for Sasuke becoming more platonic, as she is seeing him more as a comrade, and still continues to see him for who he is. In addition, I liked this chapter showed again the watching their backs plot point, since Part 1 Forest of Death, and her recent statement back in chapter 632 about catching up. However, this chapter proved she still hasn't caught up, as she's relegated to the back again. I know plenty of fans bash her for it, or hate how Kishimoto is handling her character, but we can't forget that there is a resolution to all of this, that there is a finish line. It's been hinted at again and again for years about how Sakura feels inadequacy about herself, and her performance in combat hasn't been the best. Kishimoto is slowly but surely getting to the resolution of all of it. I'm glad this was brought up again, because it means there's more to Sakura's development. She is still not done yet. I don't know how, and I don't know when. It's all in the mind of Kishimoto. All I can do is patiently await the day Sakura will have her resolution.

And once again, Sasuke shows how much of a kitten he is, and that he screws up the teamwork by not caring.
All this is my opinion, but after what Sasuke pulled, I think all Uchiha Clan needs to be wiped out, the world will be better off that way.
And Sasuke needs to DIE NOW!!!!!! And that place where all bad people go when they die (you know where I mean), is to good for him, he needs to have his soul devoured by the Shinigami, and Madara too. I know that won't happen to Sasuke, I was just venting, because as usual, he is a PRICK.
And as for him not caring, well he hasn't in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time.
Oh, and he was worse than trash when he tried to kill Naruto on the hospital roof in Part I.
@ausakura
I agree with you, except the second long last paragraph.
1. The first manga that reject by jump editor is karakuri(cyborg manga), not a baseball manga.
2. I doubt that kishi wife is his highschool friend, because there no indication that support that claim.
3. I believe kishi love her wife and see her in high regards since he draw their marriage at the back of volume cover, just like he draw himself as neo from the matrix revolution.
