Okay big question here:
If Naruto and Sasuke are saved, will they still be able to fight?
 
RIght now both of them are literally within a minute or two of death, so even if they are healed they should still be incapacitated in my opinion. It's also been very stressed that Naruto has been getting overworked nad exhausted, he's been spamming Kyuubi mode techniques worse than the Uchiha spam sharingan techniques and yet he keeps magically recovering to full strength. It doesn't matter how much chakra he has because eventually his body is just going to fail and he'll be useless in a fight. Regardless of whether or not he is saved I think he should be out of this fight completely.

Forgot to mention Sasuke, I think he's good to go for continuing the fight as long as Juugo is the one who heals him. If it's anyone else I'm pretty sure he's out of this fight.

I'm just tossing a curve ball. But I can see an ending of the war arc with madara dying at the hands of the 5 kage, or someone else other than naruto or sasuke. Why you ask?

I feel like the person to defeat madara will be sealed hokageship. (Hence why I mentioned the 5 kage or edo kage for that matter, although they are all in bad shape).

There still lies the issue of naruto and sasuke fighting, unless sasuke dies, (kishi mentioned 2 people will die). &I don't mention naruto dying because I don't think this manga is exactly a tragedy. (Although I wouldn't put it over kishi to do something where naruto dies, sakura confesses and sasuke either returns or disappears somewhere.)

It's kind of far fetched, but where the manga is right now, there are a number of ways the next 2 or even 3 chapters can go.

There are alot of holes in my theory/guess. So don't eat me Alive lol. I was just throwing it out there to get the ball rolling.

Even after siphoning much of his chakra to the Alliance and Naruto, Yin Kurama should still have quite a bit left since he hasn't been engaged in combat for almost two whole days like his Yang counterpart has. Although with the current set up, it's looking like Sasuke will be the saviour in this fight. Naruto might involve himself in the fighting leading up to that climax of moral confrontation, but this is shaping up to be Sasuke's full-fledged debut after awakening EMS.

Even after siphoning much of his chakra to the Alliance and Naruto, Yin Kurama should still have quite a bit left since he hasn't been engaged in combat for almost two whole days like his Yang counterpart has. Although with the current set up, it's looking like Sasuke will be the saviour in this fight. Naruto might involve himself in the fighting leading up to that climax of moral confrontation, but this is shaping up to be Sasuke's full-fledged debut after awakening EMS.

After that speech he gave and his need to prove that he is no longer a villain I would say this is possible.

 

As for Naruto, I just can't imagine him recovering so easily. I could understand him getting an adrenaline rush that gives him time for 1 final attack but I just can't imagine him going toe to toe with Madara after this.

If anything, it might inspire him to write even more powerful scenes now that Naruto and Sasuke are facing the danger of death.

 

I'm saddened that Kishimoto is going through this, but we might see more depth in the emotions of characters from now on.

 

Has Kishimoto gone through this before? Having a close one die?

At the moment I'd have to say chapter 631 because that was first NaruSaku moment we've had since the NaruSaku hug in 450. Though, I do see a possibility of another moment coming up soon, Either it happens when they get to Minato, or on Naruto's Birthday.

Yeah, I am happy that the studio gave him a week break because he is going to need it to settle this. If he were to work with the manga now, his art could be rushed badly as well as some misprint. Stuff like this needs to be handled first and foremost. I know Kishi can recover. That said my condolences to him and his family.

I feel so bad for him that this happened when both of his main characters are on a verge of death and he has to write it. But at the same time, now that he understands and experienced the death of a close family, I feel like the next two chapters will be very emotional.

Drawing your feelings is considered a form of therapy, after you get over the shock. People grief in many different ways, but he might even do it without thinking about it. Maybe that's the cause of Sakura and Karin's expressions in this chapter. They were so emotional and telling. I could see anxiety, stress, anger, but most of all fear - he put a lot of effort in them.

I think it's very realistic. Itachi said once "It's when we die we realize who we truly are".

 

Those two desires are very different, and can't be compared IMO. Sasuke wanting to kill Naruto is just temporarily, showing that there are still parts of him that needs to be saved.

 

Sasuke says and does many bad things, but he may have just realized what he truly wants to accomplish in his life.

Sasuke doesn't seem like he'd be a compassionate Hokage, more someone who believe's in the "eye for an eye" type of system
