I personally don't see how it's possible to have the series end before the movie... There are still too many issues to wrap up. But the "New Era" maybe refers to a "new era for the ninja world". Since Naruto's goal has always been to break the chain of hatred....Maybe the movie will show us that Naruto has already achieved that?

In Pokemon, confusion is when a Pokemon either hits the opponent or hurts itself. 50/50 chance. Basically, I'll be knocking myself out.

I don't think Kaguya will last for 5 more weeks. After that I think we'll have to deal with Sasuke's problem and that's it. It's possible that this could very well wrap up before December.

Or maybe the editor thought "hey, let's give Kishi two years. He'll wrap up the story," only to find out, "What the hell?! You're still doing this! We promised a movie!!!" Kishi probably think "Delay it," and the editor would go "We're not American!"

Well, it could be canon when all is considered done, like DBZ, though he could erase God stage before hitting in manga epilogue, but I digress. Look, I know some series are predictable on ending but you still have to keep the realm of "I wonder what will happen at the end of this." It's like "Oh I know he lives and that person too. And he lost something." Know what I mean? It seems strange. It's like reading a manga and see Kaguya about to kill Naruto, but movie tells you "Hey, he's ok there so don't worry."

Hmm... That's true, this fight has been going on for far too long, if he continues to drag it out everyone will be bored. It's time to address the Sasuke issue...and after that...there isn't much to do except show ups the canon couple(s). Maybe that's why they made the movie....?

Naruto and Sasuke could battle between them at political level, not physical...

Besides we still don't know what's exactly this "new era" project. We all know that this movie is the first step of this project. Sounds like that a new part is coming, through manga or OVAs, dunno...

My advice is to wait because we really don't know what's going on exactly. We have to be careful with their ads as well. So until then, we should wait for the trailer. Once we see it, we can either explode or sigh of relief, depends on your take. It's confusing, but I guess that's the point of waiting. It's like seeing a teaser of a character dead.

Well that's what I'm doing wait for more information , I'm just saying that if its an epilogue right after the war then many things will be left unresolved and rushed and that's horrible writing and that's spiting on your own work  and in the end the manga is what matters the most  what's canon and what people looked up to and consider canon its the true story  not some movie epilogue BS where things are already resolved without showing it  and I don't know how anyone who has read this manga for over a decade would be OK with this  that's all .

 

As for now this is how Kishimoto looks like to me with all of his BS

Exactly, we don't even know what the whole project is about yet. I don't think we can assume he's rushing just because of a few pictures and some small news. At least wait for the teaser to come out before we can actually judge it.
