Just the deal with Hinata, it really has left some people puzzled depsite this internal moment, we really don't know what kishi is intending with her despite these recent events. All i personally think of for Hinata now, the Narutopedia entry sort of gave a good description, she will try to move forward in her goals. This was explaining how due to Neji's instruction and Naruto's determination she was able to complete 64 palms, basically just an internal confidence boost. As much as NH fans may have overracted, nothing changed what 631 put forward with the parallel. I seriously cannot know what Hinata is actually intending at this point, mainly what is kishi trying to present? We know Hinata is focused on Naruto, but i am just glad that the one every hater said would fangirl, is not. Sakura is been mature around Naruto with Sasuke back and has not focused only on him, heck 632 proved she was focused on herself and both of them, but she is still been focused more on Naruto given what happened in 630 and 631.
I just feel that Hinata's moment in this chapter though, it really felt like filler, kishi really could have just put stuff other than Naruto in her head for once, I mean she improved an ability neji mastered since before part 1 began basically.... and they are praising her as better than Sakura now? Despite what Sakura just unleashed?
To me its unclear the resolve with what Hinata is right now, I mean we know what can come forward with Naruto and Sakura, but Naruto and Hinata, there is still just the deal with the confession and the deal with the 615 events, they still go unaddressed by naruto. To many of us now, 615 is looking more and more like comrade stuff and confidence for Hinata. We know she can stand by naruto as just a comrade and be acknowledged by him, but as far as romance goes, NH is a big mess. The ten tails is almost at high levels and then the fight for hokage comes a little later, what time to build romance for NH actually remains? Hinata is still missing out on factors with Sasuke and knowing the ordeals of team 7 for that matter. Heck she had to be within ear range to hear Naruto say the girlfriend comment, unless she was too busy with the others looking ahead. This is what is puzzling people, shouldn't Hinata be thinking of something else then, at least getting a clue that Naruto has feelings for someone else? Maybe if this crossed her mind, she can get more pull but she was thinking on her own again.
I find Hinata a decent character, but at this point, its getting hard to even see a foundation for NH, is kishi really limiting Hinata to a fodder pairing now? Considering NS has the parallel set up, what is there on NH? Is it love? Does Hinata only love what Naruto does and stands for? Or is it comrade/friendship? Its like the initial meaning of 615 has changed rapidly which is making it hard to follow, many thought it was romance but Naruto never continued from it yet and goes making the girlfriend comment. He still practically shows he loves Sakura, now minato came along and invoked the kushina parallel. 615 we thought was sacrifice and willpower but then this starts and now its looking like encouragement and determination?
My issue is that its hard at this point to see what Hinata is doing, since 616-617, we saw Hinata acting more aggressive against the enemy, this was fine to follow. Then we get her forming a defense line to protect Naruto and Sakura as she heals him, then she goes to this and rather than acting bold goes back to fangirling, again. Is anyone else like me starting to feel lost to when we see Hinata? I mean this time we are in focus mainly on team 7, if this whole chapter just goes unaddressed then it would have been a filler chapter to show that everyone else still exists aside from team 7. I mean we got a back-to-back deal with team 7 last week, we were expecting a grand display of their teamwork, we get this stuff instead, now we get their summonings which will hopefully put them back in. Whatever Kishi intends to do with Hinata though, its clear NH has more issues now with no direct foundation like NS and her actions are just starting to make more confusion. Its going to be harder to see NH now aside from the lack of development compared to NS, the Sakura-Kushina event, and Hinata's general limited screentime and well static focus on Naruto, she had the potential these past few chapters only to Naruto-kun her way back again. I feel like what Slextrem said in her 615 video, 1 step forward 2 steps back occurred here with Hinata again. I mean she may only have Naruto to associate with in terms of story importance, but Hinata deserves more then just being reduced to pairing fodder, we just hoped she would at least gain confidence and display some degree of boldness in front of the army, she did for a short time then we got this. Whatever Hinata is moving forwards too, be it Naruto or her abilities improvement, kishi needs to give us clarity.
