Hi. I'm new.

NaruSaku4life recommended me to this site and to that I say thanks man. I've been lurking here a lot(too lazy to log in) but just so you know I was anti NaruSaku before(supported the friendship not the romance) and now I am neutral. With that out of the way...

Why for some people all user need to pretend that everything is just rainbows and sunshine with this Manga?
Every user have their right to be positive or negative about stuff they don't like or stuff they like, we as fellow member should find the way to counter their negative point of view, expand the positive point of view with our own thoughts or simple just skip their post while finding something more interesting to talk about.

Me personally, I dislike it when people are too over confident but I also dislike it when people are too negative, does that doesn't mean that I want other to see things the same way I do? NO.
I give my opinion and if you want to consider it good, if you don't is still good.

I may be wrong here but I don't its the quality as much as its the quantity.

Like, the same 'negative' opinions get posted in the debate thread, the general discussion thread(any general discussion thread), the movie thread, the episode threads, the chapter threads, etc, week after week, day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute...in between seconds. And I think people who enjoy where the story is going are tired of going to a what is supposed to be be(I think) a pro-Naruto board and seeing all the anti opinions.

And I guess, quality wise, it's not really a 'my opinion vs. your opinion' when the 'negative' group can only rotate between a few arguments:

Kishimoto is a troll(and other insults towards the man which I would think come across as bashing...)

Kishimoto COULD'VE done this but didn't so he will never do it

And Kishimoto SHOULD'VE done this earlier but didn't so now it is ruined.

Generalized? Maybe but that seems to be the gist of it. So it's hard to talk or have a friendly debate with that and like I said it's posted over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER and over again in all the threads.

People here, I think, just want to be able to hope and speculate and predict(for fun even!) without being told its pointless because Kishimoto is a troll(what the hell do you even say to that? I mean...I don't think he's a troll I think he's just trying to tell a story that pleases people.).

It's actually something people have stated several times now and if you have noticed, some people have stopped posting due to the 'negativity'; and yet the 'negative people' who constantly complain that their opinions are being shushed keep showing up and posting. Doesn't look like any of you/them are going anywhere, and yet....I mean, the people who really are leaving get no love.

It's the same people too. And I think people understand by now that you, HauntedCake(hehe), and...maybe Codus?(I am honestly not sure what in the flying HELL he's doing) don't like how the story is going and hate Kishimoto for not doing more things with Sakura. It's understood. Really. We get it. I noticed you have changed your tune a little recently, but you still were one of the ones before who liked to bring ppl down.

And as for the 'let me speak my opinion' thing, you should let other express their OPINION that they wish you guys would stop. The fact that more than five people have complained about this should be something to think about about.(also Don-kun you specifically told SasuKarin fans that they can't talk about their own opinions here because it makes members uncomfortable, yet you turn a blind eye to the fact that the constant negativity makes people here WAY more uncomfortable than sasukarin ever did. At least THAT could be debated and talked about without fighting.)

Last thing to note, you say that NS gets bashed by Anti-NS all the time but I can see some of the same arguements against the fandom being used here against fellow members. if you guys care, speaking as a neutral Fan, I don't think anyone here(cept Codus) is arrogant. Kinda hard to be when you have members beating down your predictions and hopes lol.

Yeah that's my piece. Sorry if it comes across as disrespectful but I don't know how to say this any other way.

Edit: sry for any typos i am on a phone.

Edit: I also don't get why you think anyone here should care about what others think anyways. At the end of the day you are all just fans being fans.

In this chapter Kishi shows Sakura clearly worries for Naruto, despite what some may say, so that leads me to question why he had her M.I.A for so many chapters. Why show Naruto handing his chakra out to fodder and offscreen Sakura? Why does he extremely offscreen her when Hinata comes to play the selfless sacrifice character? Isn't this the same as what happened during the Pain arc? Sakura cries out for Naruto to come help, Hinata goes to confess, Sakura is nowhere to be seen until she has to heal Hinata.

I'm convinced he doesn't know what he's to do with her or this pairing clusterf***k he has created. He has her recognize that Hinata loves Naruto but then he confirms with Sai that Naruto has genuine feelings for Sakura. He has Sakura fake confess to Naruto and then has her go on a mission to kill Sasuke which we knew she wouldn't do. Are you going with NaruHina or not? Are you trying to tell us NS has no chance or that there's more to it? Are you trying to redeem Sakura or demolish her further? What is it Kishi? I'm tired of waiting for the next week in hopes he'll make her do something to relieve me of feeling on the short end of arguments against all the anti-Sakura fans which never comes. And that like 75% of the English speaking Naruto fandom.

I am actually thankful this way, because you know what? We have a saying here in my country...
One you're on the glory, everyone will be with you, but when you'll get on the downfall, that's where the real and important friends will show-up. So to me, the fact that Sakura appears exactly now, tells how important she is when it comes to Naruto. Think about it. When the real-down fall happens, she is the one there. Subtly.
And what about Pein arc. She did far more than Hinata. You think that if Sakura wouldn't have helped with the healing of the village saving as many lives so this way, helping Naruto protect as many people as possible, this way, being his real support and if everyone would've gotten killed just because Hinata was about to screw-up, do you really think Naruto would've be happy with it? Hinata's actions may be drawn bigger, like literally bigger drawn - panel space, but Sakura's ones are far more important! They are just subtle.

Yes, everyone's opinion is equally valid here, and no one should feel stifled or silenced as long as they are respectful to others. The mods have been very clear about this.

But to be honest, I think it's an exaggeration to suggest that anyone here is demanding only "rainbows and sunshine" opinions -- at least it didn't start out that way.

From what I have observed, the "positive users" didn't start out upset that negative opinions and reactions are expressed, or that there is disappointment with chapters, or dissent among members about the quality of the storytelling. This should always been expected on a discussion board, and it is approved by the mods.

But I think it is important to recognize that what may be perceived as the hypersensitivity of some "positive users" has been systematically developed over time. It has developed because the negativity from some users, at least, is relentless and condescending. It's because there seems to be a desire on the part of some users to counter -- if not outright squash -- any positive argument for the story, the characterizations, or the pairing this community supports.

Have some "positive users" been relentless and condescending too? Yes. Everything shouldn't have to be rainbows and sunshine any more than it should have to be a festering pool of raging bitterness.

It might help to remember the header of this website: Heaven & Earth: The Naruto x Sakura Fanclub. It says Fan club, not Complainer club. I personally don't believe it is unrealistic for users to come to this website and expect to encounter other FANS who support and still enjoy the story and characters.

If you can't go to an online FANclub to be a positive and hopeful fan, where can you go? Maybe people have forgotten that the word fan is short for fanatic, and being a fanatic means having an "excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion" to something. smile.gif

And before anyone misunderstands my point, I'm not saying that expressing disappointment and criticism means you're not a fan. However, when disappointment and criticism become the only feelings you have or want to express for a story and its characters, then the old question comes into play again: why continue to read?

H&E is a community. It's a good community. Whether we like it or not, the way we express our reactions to the manga -- good and bad -- can profoundly affect the emotional climate here, and most of us could use some work on our tolerance for the opinions of others.

Just my opinion.

A lot of truth here, in my opinion. Welcome to the boards, and may I say... if you typed all that on your phone you're a rock star.

I think maybe it's about learning to manage expectations. Speaking only for myself, I can speculate "for fun" and wonder and hope about things that might happen, but when they don't I am not crushed or angry. I mean, I do it all the time. I was right in there, speculating that Sakura might have gone to the Kages, or that she had somehow left the battlefield.

Well, guess what? I was wrong. Wrong, wrong, WRONG. But I'm not angry with Kishimoto for not meeting whatever expectations I freely chose to create for myself. He didn't promise something and not deliver. It doesn't make him an idiot slacker mangaka because I choose to daydream other ideas or would choose different content than he does. It's his story.

I've said this many times, but I know I'm on Kishimoto's ride. Personally? I'm enjoying it. For me, it's not only impossible but a complete waste of time and energy to be sour and critical about what he's doing until he's done it and it's all over.

Hi Kadardi I know you I still give you big ups for that day when you called the ANS fans out as hypocrisy men I was so happy reading your post that day. a_thumbs.gif

Anyway for you and KnS I recognize that at the beginning of the chapter discussion not that my opinion has changed but I was how can I say, TOO DAMN NEGATIVE I accept that, but know reading the thread and seeing the MOD and other fellow member saying that everyone was entitle to their own opinion I try to act neutral by saying that I dislike over confident post and negative post but now I realize that I made a mistake again, but this time I honestly did not expect this last post would be taken this way, I guess I should stop acting like mediator and focus more on the Manga. sad.gif

For the SK stuff, I just saw two other member from the NS fc in NF complaining about the same thing I complained about, but you will never see me talking about that subject again after the incident that I created the last time.

I've been over it actually. I wouldn't even call this a grudge. Anyway apology accepted. My point before was, this forum welcomes all. No one should get shoved out by anyone and we should all learn to coexist.

Hi. I'm new.

NaruSaku4life recommended me to this site and to that I say thanks man. I've been lurking here a lot(too lazy to log in) but just so you know I was anti NaruSaku before(supported the friendship not the romance) and now I am neutral. With that out of the way...

Welcome to the forum and nice first post.

Computer shut off while doing a reply. Fun lol. Anyways.

@Don-kun

Oh yeah I remember that haha. What's great is that one of them did really look back and realize that some were getting kind of outta hand. From what I've seen when I checked back there again, not much has changed lol. But oh well. If anything, I hope remembering that helps you realize that what goes on here is nothing compared to other places. You can see FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR worse bashing and arrogance going on from people who's opinions you probably shouldn't care about. So you can relax a little and take pride in NaruSaku's chance smile.gif!

No harm done haha. You can freely express your opinion and all, but just try and think of it from others' POV when they start complaining about the hate.

@FoolishYoungling

Haha maybe? I already prefer it over NH(by a landslide. And like many others I realized this when 615 happened and it hit me that Naruto was going to end up with someone and NH is kitten) and I really do like reading pro arguments over anti ones. And I have a lot of respect for many people in this forum even if our opinions differ in some aspects. I'll use whatever happens in this volume to cement my love for it (maybe it can become my second OTP tongue.gif) and to make my speculations..

@KnS

Thank you smile.gif! LOL I have small fingers so it's pretty easy by now.

OMG I understand your example so much! In the Naruto forums I posted in the debate thread defending NS, and I mentioned some speculation which I'm sure looked completely and utterly stupid to antiNS but 1) I don't care and 2) It did me no harm just to speculate(but I also think it's crazy and kinda dumb lol). But it's fun thinking of the stuff even if it's stupid and has little to no chance of happening. When it comes to the story I'm enjoying it so far despite its faults.

One advice, do not use words like Stu**d Bull***t or any not suitable words without doing what I did with the bold sentence is not allowed here but if you can avoid using them it will be even better, the different between this site and NF site is that we don't speak that way in addition the MODs don't allow it mostly because we have many under age members.

Lmao I was kidding and yeah, I wanna know what your prediction is.

I know you were kidding. But it's still a big club. th_twitchsmile.gif

Prediction? Well, I gave up on trying to predict the details of this story a long time ago. I usually guess right on the big character stuff -- that Tobi was Obito, that Orochimaru would return, etc. -- but as far as what turns the story is going to take, I have no idea. Kishimoto has come up with a lot of stuff I didn't expect, and not done a lot of stuff I thought he might.

At the tail end of the #627 thread I posted something that comes as close to a prediction as I can get, lol:

QUOTE (KnS @ Apr 22 2013, 05:05 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
That said, I still believe NS is endgame and as my grandmother used to say, "If I'm wrong I'll eat my hat."

But that's the only assumption I'm willing to make at this point. How we're going to get there? I really have no clear idea.

Taking Sasuke's recent turn toward good at face value for a moment, asking how Naruto will play a part in Sasuke's redemption now is a legitimate question.

One thing I can't reconcile is Orochimaru, the guy I love to hate. His return to the story at this point nags at me, as does his unfinished agenda. Orochimaru is Sasuke's clearest parallel, and represents Jiraiya's most significant and heartfelt failure. Does that still mean anything?

What if, after the Obito/Madara/Juubi/Edo Kage resolution, Orochimaru pulls the last ace from his sleeve and finally succeeds in taking control of Sasuke's body? What if Naruto ends up having to fight OrochiSasuke? What if to "save" Sasuke, Naruto has to face the possibility of killing him in order to kill Orochimaru?

What if, in classic Return of the Jedi fashion, Sasuke's allegiance to Naruto is stronger than Orochimaru's will, and neither guy can bring himself to kill the other. What if, just as he did in the ice prison against Haku, Sasuke does whatever it takes to sabotage Orochimaru and preserve Naruto's life?

What if they both end up beaten nearly to death, and Sakura can only save one?

Too much like Star Wars and the OVA, I suppose. biggrin.gif Maybe Naruto would just TnJ OrochiSasuke and that would be that?

Bottom line, I don't trust Orochimaru. If Sasuke has already made his own decision to turn good, I have a nagging feeling that Orochimaru will be the wildcard that changes Sasuke's fortune again. And considering Karin's long-standing loyalty to Orochimaru, it would be interesting to see how she would react to OrochiSasuke....

/random thoughts

I think the story will end with NS and with Naruto satisfied, one way or another, that Sasuke has been "saved." The reason I'm comfortable assuming those two things is because of the sheer amount of foreshadowing and obvious moments that point to those events. Especially with NS. There's no current way to explain everything that's happened between Naruto and Sakura, and explain Sakura's emotional journey, if she's not going to realize she's in love with Naruto by the end.

But that's about it. I'm not sure Naruto will be Hokage because I'm not sure there will be a need for the Kage system by the time he's done. He may be the jinchuriki of the Ten Tails at the end instead. I don't know.

To be honest, I'd prefer to see Naruto fail to get one of his goals -- specially, Sasuke. At least have Sasuke be left a wanderer at the end -- redeemed, overall, but not with some cheesy song in his heart. argh1.png I think it's good enough that he gives up on revenge, does something constructive with his life, and is able to acknowledge Naruto as a friend and brother.

And I say that because I can't reconcile myself to some kind of Perfect World Solution -- a world without hate or ambition or human frailty. Naruto can break the cycle of hate within the shinobi system in messianic fashion, but he's not single-handedly capable of changing human nature and eradicating all evil. That's what makes Naruto's goal so interesting in contrast to Obito's Infinite Tsukuyomi.

So I'd like to see it end where Naruto isn't a portrayed like a god who can banish human frailty, but a young man who did what he set out to do by setting things right with his friend and ending strife between the nations of his world. I want to see him get the love of the girl he loves, and go on to have the family his parents intended for him.

All that would complete the parallel with the Sannin very nicely. Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke would all succeed in a way their masters did not: Naruto would get the girl and save his friend, Sakura would fall in love with her friend in time to be with him, and Sasuke would be influenced by his friend turn back before he loses his entire life down the path of evil.

Thanks. smile.gif And it's true. I daydream about all kinds of stuff that never happens. Remember all my "what if Kakashi secretly loved Rin" posts? LOL
