Pff. One mistake and I am supposed to hate her? Hinata had to make several before I hated her. So I am like Spider-man: "Everybody gets one"

laugh.gif

But seriously, she's a fun character and it's a good change that she is not like always you're right here and there like Sakura did back then or feel weak to think otherwise. She may have the crazy obsession, but she's like two-face, so it's fun. Yeah, not a fan of the latest development, but I guess we might as well get over with. Bottom line, I like her. Lastly, is this the first time that she flirted him in public?

Maybe it's just me, but I've never understood why anyone expected Karin to really get over Sasuke, or that if/when she continued to love him after the way he treated her that would somehow signal her characterization was "ruined" and too screwed up to be believable.

Karin was ruined and screwed up when we met her. She had spent her time under Orochimaru's influence, assisting him in his experiments on other people. She essentially ran his prison for him, on a remote island with no one but incarcerated Frankenfreaks for company. She was clearly a dark and disturbed soul from the get-go, and yet it's unbelievable she would still cling to Sasuke despite the way he treated her? What else does she know? What else has she ever known?

The girl was and still is a defective mess. The way I see it, her attraction to Sasuke makes complete sense.

I'm repeating it in the hopes that those of you who identify themselves as caring about Karin might answer a question for me....

Considering how damaged Karin is (and always has been) and her chosen allegiances, is it possible you're projecting a temperament and psychopathology onto her that she doesn't possess and isn't capable of possessing? You guys are so indignant about Sasuke's behavior on her behalf, expecting her to respond in an emotionally healthy manner -- disregarding the reality that she has never been characterized as a girl who is emotionally stable or accustomed to healthy relationships.

I'm genuinely curious and have to ask why.

lol Okay, four. Anyone else care about Karin?

I don't specifically worry about Karin character in overall I think she is quite funny, but I'm really sad about the way Kishi treats his female character in general, even when I'm not surprise with her behavior at all I'm kind of sad with what he did to her character in this chapter and the way he makes everyone kiss Sasuke's a**. sad.gif

Actually, to be perfectly honest, Serenity Namikaze said it best.

"Sasuke can do no wrong. No matter what he does he will always be forgiven for it. He has no consequence to his life and many consider him a product of circumstance." To just have Karin forgive him all of a sudden after that is basically saying "Sasuke can't be held accountable for his actions." I didn't want Karin to forgive him that easily or at least have Sasuke show more...sympathy towards her. Even if only her.

I still wanted more for her though.

I am also putting this to the table again. If Sasuke can be forgiven, then you have to forgive Obito too since "the Uchiha love too much so it is not really their fault cause they are cursed."

That's a good point. I think one reason we have is that if she wasn't emotionally stable, then why is that itself inconsistent? She didn't seem very content with Sasuke when she was dying, after he betrayed her and nearly killed her. What happened there registered to her.

Yeah, getting ignored does happen. It happens. Sorry.

That said well I kind of got what I wished for, but she took out on the wrong person. Lastly, it happened quick. Again, I just find her to be a fun character. I am aware of her characteristics. I think she can be stable, but only when it's needed (last arc). Granted this part could have been it, but it seems like Kishi needs to get out right away. So it's always a guessing game with her, which I think it's fun to see what's next. So yeah, that's my opinion.

The difference here is that Sakura has many redeeming qualities and depth. Hinata...some redeeming qualities, but lacking in depth..

And, after this, Karin really doesn't, either. Thanks, Kishimoto. Thanks. dry.gif

Just a thought, but what happens if Madara decides to steal Minato's present, (the other half of Kurama's chakra), before Naruto gets it and gives it to the Jyuubi? mellow.gif

One problem I see is Kishi being unable to go through with ANYTHING in this manga. Everyone changes, flips, or alters their mind so constantly that no one is ever secure or committed to their thoughts. Sure this works some times, but now it seems like only two people have their mind set that never changes. Guess who they are?

Sakura and Hinata. That's right. Everyone one else: Naruto, Sasuke, Karin, etc. All flip so often that it seems like they are all wishy-washy.

That's a good question....if the present if the other half of the chakra at all. Maybe Minato will pass down his Thunder God technique

While she might have something planned. For some it might be different, but in my case she was starting to realize that Sasuke was unstable and this made her character look stronger which is a rarity for females in Naruto. Then she goes right back to him after he stabbed her which sort of ruins the development that she made especially since that apology was pathetic. I also felt sorry for Karin because she's going straight back to the guy who tried to kill her.

Hopefully Sakura will be the one to hold him accountable which will be big step in the right direction for her.
