I'm trying to figure out what degree you're pursuing. I'm guessing psychology but then you said you had a math test. Unless its stats then it makes sense. Am I wrong?

Oh as for your paper, you could add voice quality. Pitch, volume, rhythm and rate of speech. You could even write about clothing. What kind clothes you wear could convey your intentions and personality and in turn affect the interaction you have with other people.

I'm majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders with emphasis in Speech Language Pathology. I have to take math as part of my general education. I still have a few extra classes like that to pick off before I get to move into the higher level courses in my field. It's unfortunate, but at least I'm almost done.

That's a great suggestion! I'll incorporate that into my brainstorm. I have such a hard time writing papers because I'm indecisive about what I want to say, but that really helps!

Ah I hate it when a school decides to waste your time like that. I have to waste some of my first year taking modules that have nothing to do with my major. Anyway happy to help!

Time and money, which is especially true with Math and English. The classes that I need for those have prerequisites. :twitch:

Sometimes I wish I had studied a trade. Then I wouldn't have to study all of this irrelevant material...

Blake Shelton is one of my favorite music artists of all time:

What's your all time high? Your good as it gets?
Your hands down best ever make-up sex?
What's your guilty pleasure? Your old go to?
Well if you asked me, mine would be you

What's your worst hangover? Your best night yet?
Your 90 proof? Your Marlboro Red?
The best damn thing you lucked into?
That's easy girl, mine would be you.

Mine would be you
Sun keeps shining, back road flying
Singing like crazy fools, making up our own words
Laughing 'til it hurts, Baby, if I had to choose
My best day ever, my finest hour, my wildest dream come true...
Mine would be you

See, I told you he'd surprise you. Granted I never would 've expected Pokemon cards (takes me back) so I'M surprised as well.

Glad to hear you a had a good night on Friday.

Blake Shelton? Can't say I'd heard of him until I googled his name. Country isn't something I normally listen to, but I do like those lyrics. There's a UK rock band that's starting to get themselves noticed named Young Guns (addicted to them ATM) and one of the verses from the opening track on their first album really resonates with me.

It was the best anniversary I could ever ask for. We tried doing the "normal" couple thing with dinner, but we have way more fun being true to ourselves. The only downside is that we have so many wrappers to throw away. We wanted to keep them, but there are over 72 wrappers.

This wasn't even all of it

I've never heard of them, but I'll check them out. The only UK band that I know of is Busted.

If I could stop sleeping through my first class, that would be great. This is like the 5th time it's happened.

Same happens with me. No enough sleep = Sleeping in class or at least be sleepy. The only solution is sleeping early or very early... If you can sleep earlier lol.

Which reminds me that tomorrow I have class at 9 am * sigh *

I went to bed really early last night, but the problem was that I tossed and turned for about 45 minutes because I wasn't tired. I need to take some melatonin at 8:00pm to knock me out. Then I should have no problem waking up in time to get to school. (I'd better not sleep through that class again on Thursday - I have an exam!)

I'm terrified to go to class today. A 35 year old man threatened to shoot up a college campus in the city sometime this afternoon. He did not specify which one, and two campuses have gone into lock down over the issue. My campus has chosen to remain open and continue classes as normal. I have one class today that I can't afford to miss it, but I'm scared out of my wits to go.

...

As I was writing this, I heard a report that the guy has been apprehended by police, but I'm afraid of another lunatic taking advantage of the commotion. There was also a report that two men were seen with what appeared to be guns at one of the campuses. If they have apprehended only one, then where is the other? I don't want to go...

Don't go if you don't want to. But, I'm sure there's nothing going to happen. The man with the gun knew that he has been caught, so he won't go threatening since there will be not that much people today.

Crack of dawn study session... Woot woot.

I regret the above decision. I found out that the prof rescheduled the exam for Tuesday. Will I never be able to catch up on my sleep?

Letting my head sink into my pillows after a very long day feels so unbelievably good.

Edit: I can't resist any longer. It's bed time for me. Good night, my lovely friends.

Seven Cardinal Rules of Life:

1. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up your present.

2. What others think about you is none of your business.

3. Time heals almost everything - give it time.

4. Don't compare your life to others and don't judge them. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

5. Stop thinking too much. It's alright to not know the answers. They will come to you when you least expect it.

6. No one is in charge of your happiness, except you.

7. Smile. You don't own all of the problems in the world.

So, when Andy woke me up this morning, this happened:

Andy: Good morning!

Me: Oh no...

Andy: What's wrong?

Me: I crashed my go-kart.

Andy: ....What?

Me: I was taking my groceries to the check-out and I crashed my go-kart.

Andy: ... :lmao:

I once had a dream, I can't even remember what it was about but something incredibly funny happened in it, and I burst out laughing in my sleep!

My strangest one, however, was ehen I was 7/8, and in it I was at my old Primary School in the playground running around. Then, I suddenly take off and start flying high into the air, but suddenly I start to fall, and just before I hit the ground, I come out of the dream state of sleep. I'm aware of light coming from the bedroom window, the sound of birds chirping outside, and feel the bed sheets on top of me... but I couldn't feel the mattress beneath me. In that moment I then felt my back, butt and legs slowly rest back onto the matress! My eyes flew open and I sat up and I thought 'Did I just imagine that!?' Never had an experience like it since.

I've had some real scary ones too, including (among quite a few) being chased by a large black dog with red eyes down a cobbled graveyard-like path with dead trees on either side, and fighting with a shadow person where I was (according to my mother who came into my room after hearing noises) punching and kicking and calling out 'WHO  ARE YOU!!?' !n my  sleep.

I've also had dreams about falling out of the sky. I usually wake up as I'm hitting the ground, and I can feel my body bounce on my bed, as if I had just landed on it. It's so strange!

Quin, those last two examples sound terrifying. I've had plenty of nightmares, but something about fighting a shadow person just gives me the willies. Have you ever experienced a reoccurring nightmare? When I was 3 I had a dream that a man in a trench coat was chasing me, and no matter how fast I ran, I could never get away. It doesn't sound very scary when I talk about it, but the experience really is terrifying. Since then, I've had that same dream at least 5 or six times, all at different ages. The last time I had it, I was 15.

I also used to have problems with sleepwalking. One time, I got out of bed and started running a bath at 2:00 am. My mom woke up as the water was nearly overflowing out of the tub... Another time I started running up and down the hallway really fast, and when my mom got up to see what I was doing, I just stood there staring at her. If I were in her shoes, I would be scared out of my wits! Can you imagine looking down a dark hallway and seeing a kid just standing there, staring at you? Creepy!

I kind of glad I'm not the  only one who's experienced such a dream, it was the strangest thing ever.

The shadow person encounter was extra terrifying because I'm certain that I've seen them before when I'm awake. You see something moving out the corner of your eye and by the time you turn, it's gone. Even now, writing about it I keep looking over my shoulder... :ermm:

I remember one time about 2 years ago when I was on my side and just drifting off, and I could've sworn I heard a voice go 'Hey' just behind me. I soun round, nothing there, but I thought 'What the f&*# was that!?'. I haven't had any nasty ones in a while, although knowing my luck, I'll go to bed tonight and wake up in a cold sweat (and now you probably will as well... sorry :sweatdrop:).

There've been times where the dream was so good, you wake up (either through alarm or stirring) and think 'Oohhh, I was enjoying that...'

I think the mind is a fascinating thing, If ever I come across something on discovery about the mind, space, aliens, ghosts, it's got to be on.
